About this business
Instant Car Fix is a privately held company based in the DMV area. The company provides mobile car repair and maintenance services to car owners at their location (home or office or any other location of choice). The company currently operates in DC, MD and VA and is rapidly expanding to other cities too.We realized that most auto repair shops and dealerships try to upsell their services and recommend services which are not needed. Most of the times, a simple car service trip turns into an estimate worth thousands of dollars. The cheap upsell tactics consistently instills fear into customer’s mind and most people do not like walking into an auto repair shop.A recent survey by AAA shows some staggering statistics. Two out of three auto drivers do not trust auto repair shops. An incredible 76 percent of those surveyed by AAA said they were recommended to buy unnecessary services.73 percent said they were overcharged, and63 percent said they had negative past experiences.Nearly half (49 percent) said that they were concerned that work won’t be done correctly.Instant Car Fix was created to solve this problem. Our goal is to provide honest quotes with quality service at the convenience of your doorsteps. We made a company you can trust, that never upsells, and believes customers should decide what services they need for their car. Our certified mechanics have years of experience working at dealerships and repair shops.Best part – we come to you! We repair cars at location of your choice so that you don’t have to walk into an auto repair shop ever again. At Instant Car Fix, we MAKE LIFE SIMPLE!

Instant Car Fix is a scam
My car was leaking water, and not wanting to pay tow charges, I decided to try Instant Car Fix. That turned out to be a big mistake. The mechanic came, told me what was wrong, and said he’d be back the next day—but I didn’t see him for three days. He fixed the manifold gasket, a pipe, and did a coolant flush. The car was still leaking, and he then said I needed a water pump. He told me the company would charge another $500 to replace it, on top of the $2,000 I had already paid, but offered to do it for $100. Again, he said he’d be back, but I never saw him again. I ended up paying the tow charge to Firestone, where they had to redo everything Instant Car Fix had done. My biggest issue is that, as a mechanic, he should have known to check the water pump first. And for some mysterious reason, my gas pedal was disconnected, which made no sense, since it has nothing to do with the water leak. I will never use Instant Car Fix or any other mobile mechanic. It was an expensive lesson so take it from me, do not trust them. They are overpriced and do not complete the work. Scam!
Scammers
Scammers! STAYAWAY!!!! Seem nice but real snakes 🐍 This company should be investigated for the conduct they allow. A mechanic marked my vehicle as repaired and safe to drive after it was damaged by contaminated fuel. Yet, as soon as the mechanic left, the car wouldn’t start again. No customer should have to pay for a service that doesn’t resolve the problem or be left stranded after being told their vehicle is fixed. Companies must be held accountable for the quality of the work performed by the contractors they send. This experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and unacceptable. Consumers deserve honesty, competent repairs, and accountability not false assurances that leave them in an even worse situation.
