Excellent customer service
I tried Lingopie and unfortunately with my work and family commitments wasn't able to dedicate the amount of time I needed to the process, but it seemed very good. When my free trial ended I was charged the yearly fee but Tatjana in customer services was very helpful and agreed to refund it without any hassle, as well as offering potential alternatives that could have been very attractive to some people. I was very impressed and I hope that once I have more time I will be able to sign up again.

For the advanced and upper intermediate level is amazing, it does have exactly what is missing in other apps. And also what you need to take the last step toward fluency.

SO many features to control and customize your learning! I am especially enjoying Guided Mode which pauses after every subtitle. You can also choose narration speed, what subtitles (none/new language/new language and home language). Then, you can select embedded mini lessons , which also suggest extra useful phrases, as well as customizable quizzes and vocab flashcards in your library! I'm finally learning from native speakers in context!

Absolutely love Lingopie
Absolutely love Lingopie! Great selection of films and shows, and very intuitive and easy to use. As well as saving the words I choose, it can make quizzes out of them and also out of words of a similar level of difficulty.

I love the interactive subtitles. It's only been 2 weeks but I'm watching several shows and 75% of the time I only glance at the English. Today I even fully remember and was able to say one of the funny lines to a friend also learning French.

Great platform. I love reading intermediate movies in Spanish, then you can pause when you don't understand, play back, even highlight the phrases you miss completely. Highly recommend.

I decided to keep this over disney plus. The Show's are great and the learning is better. Fantastic streaming value, especially if you are multi lingual and enjoy experimenting with new regions.

I have some pretty bad ADHD and learning in the typical classroom settings has always been a struggle for me.
Now I'm not saying this has completely cured my ADHD, I still have days I forget to hop onto Lingopie, but it has certainly made it easier to focus when I can pretty much just watch some shows, and even more than that, if the language has multiple countries it's spoken in, and thus different dialect you can select a country!
It still feels a bit lighter on the content currently but there is a discord where the community can get support or talk to other users and can put in requests,
So, I feel like objectively this app has pretty much achieved something my Spanish teacher in high school couldn't so 5 stars!

We love that you're enjoying the different dialect options and connecting with the community on Discord. Thanks so much for your thoughtful review and for being part of the Lingopie family, we're excited to keep growing our library and learning alongside you!
This unique app does something special: It gives you audio in the language you are learning WHILE providing captions in both the new language and your first language. (All captions can be turned on and off.) There's a variety of material including some engaging original video but also TV shows, movies, and other materials. They also offer read-alongs in which you can click on unfamiliar words and get a definition. Apparently they also offer online lessons in groups or one-on-one, which I have not yet tried. Excellent app! Try it!
