The HMM is a good model for learning Chinese from scratch, and I really like the fact that they have the community support mechanism to aid in motivating as well as teaching. Although I'm only 30 days into this, I feel convinced that I can learn. Looking forward to being able to converse in Mandarin within 6 months. We'll see.

I Think it is very practical and helpful, speacially because they guide you through every single step of the course and is also very detailed. I would definetely recommend it for the begginners.
I'm getting comfortable with this method. I've been doing the MB for about a month and it takes getting used to, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'm retired, so as you can imagine, I'm used to the more conventional teaching methods. This method has forced me to pull from creativity that I didn't think I had. It took me a while to think of scenes that didn't necessarily make sense in real life, but as long as it helped me to remember the character, I could use it. When I look at a character and think of the scene that pertains to that character, everything clicks! What I'm concerned about is how much I can store in my old brain and can I remember at least 3,000 characters continuing with this method? I hope that my brain can process these characters faster than it's currently doing. Sometimes I'll stare at the character and think, 'ok, that's the distorted hand so that's the stadium hand and the other part is daybreak -- that's my alarm clock and Darrell was at Gary's house at the entrance. Oh, yes, Dan1, meaning undertaking because he had a difficult task waking up my brother who's always a bear to wake up!' For xi2-practice, I have Shirley Temple teaching her pet scorpion (Scorpie) how to pick up ice cubes with its pincers. She tells him that practice makes perfect! I didn't think I would enjoy the method as much as I do so that's a plus! I'm not ready yet to give this method 5 stars because it's too early in the process and I hope I can retain what I've learned, but I feel that I'm off to a good start.

I must admit, I was absolutely sure that this method would NVER work for me. And, initially, the method did not work. But, having a real desire to learn Chinese characters, I persisted beyond the first couple of days. Slowly but surely the concept began to sink in for me and now I absolutely love it and I feel so empowered. Now everyday I look forward to what Chinese character and/or word will be unlocked fo me!!

I really like the memory trainning and each tip and trick. So far I only finished phase 1, which even though put me in conntact with a lot of tooling and community, I did not have the feeling of benefiting from the blueprint platform. So far I can see the use of Traverse more than the one of Blueprint, however I think that I am only setting the foundation rn, so I will have more input from blueprint aka Phill and Luke in the future.
So far so good, it works for me!

I signed up for the Mandarin Blueprint Method after seeing their advertising on Instagram and have used the service for about 5 months now. I've made it to level 30 so have made it fairly far in the entire course.
Initially, I was impressed with the progress I was making memorizing the characters with the Mandarin Blueprint Method. Their way although intuitive can be a convoluted. Essentially the program at its core is common character memorization using a memory palace.
As I continued my learning journey its clear that the program is only about character memorization. I found it neglects both reading and listening of Mandarin. If you elect to use the program it is likely you will need to supplement with a separate program. I've since subscribed to DuChinese which I've found very helpful.
The thing that I've found really frustrating with the product is it is not a subscription model, meaning you can purchase the product or not. I opted for the $100 a month option but have discovered that I'm locked in to purchase the entire product at $1200. I was a little naive when it came to learning and if I had to choose again, I would definitely not choose Mandarin Blueprint. Its an expensive product to which there are better alternatives (DuChinese,HelloChinese,ChineseHack,LingQ,ChinesePod) that cost less and don't have a lock in period.
They were clear that additional materials would be necessary however I didn't realize how critical they were. I would expect a product that is ten times the cost of comparable products would more comprehensive.
I find that my reading is the strongest but my output and listening is poor which I think is a failing of the system.
So who is this product for? If you're a beginner who has too much money, this is the program for you.

Matthew, we apologize for the mix-up that took place regarding your desire to cancel and have contacted you directly regarding your cancellation.
There was confusion with our new customer service representative conflated our refund policy with our cancellation policy. Simply put, our refund policy is 90 days (industry leading, I believe), but they thought that also meant that after 90 days, you can't cancel a payment plan and must finish all payments. That's not the case, of course you can cancel a payment plan at any time!
As soon as we realized the mistake that had happened we immediately refunded all payments. Customer Service is very important to Mandarin Blueprint, one of the company core values is to Help-First, meaning we always strive to ensure we are helping not only our members but non-members as well. Mistakes can happen but we will always correct them to the best of our ability.
I like the bite sized videos and the supplementals (links, apps, etc). The foundation and sequence of learning tracks were very useful to my progress. I had a few natives compliment my pronunciations! Some of the emails received were not relevant based on my interactions - not an easy workflow to overcome, but that is not an uncommon experience with others. I feel the value of the courses are great considering how affordable they are. I would recommend anyone wanting to learn Mandarin to give it a try.

This is a great toolkit. Most valuable part of it is a learning structure which making language acquisition process look like a game which obvoiusly stimulating you to get to the higher level.
A word of caution however - while it is neccessary to pass through this pain - it is not sufficient to get it useful to any practical degree.
So would seriously recommend to consider further courses under the same franchise which in case you will find the time and spirit to go through would give you a grasp of minimum Mandarin Lanugage skill
I did like Mandarin Blueprint for a month - it makes the initial slog of memorising radicals a bit more fun. After that I realised characters were starting to stick naturally so I went to cancel - this was a bit annoying as you have to email them.

We do clearly state in the email after signing up "P.S. You can cancel anytime. Just send an email to [email protected]", which is common practice.
Perhaps there was some error that occurred which led to you not getting this email?
If you feel like we charged you when you should not have been charged, just reach out and we'll process it right away.
P.S. We've now stopped doing subscriptions so this is no longer relevant, but happy to refund nonetheless.
The method is okay but not for me. It's based on visualization techniques which I tend to struggle with. The content seems reasonably good for people it works with, but the style didn't mesh well with me.
The primary reason for my negative review is that there is no simple way to cancel your subscription. I cannot find any way to adjust payment methods or cancel your subscription on their site. It seems the only way to cancel is through an email. My first email was missed so I was charged one month more than I wanted to be (though they refunded it).

The customer contacted us via our website contact form and never put a "from" email, or possibly entered it incorrectly, so there was no way to reply to him or know which account to cancel. We are checking with our developers to see how this could have happened.
After receiving the request for cancellation and refund directly by email we handled the request within hours. It states clearly how to cancel in the welcome email after signing up and in settings -> billing.
