Misleading recommendations pushed by affiliate commissions
NerdWallet used to be an unbiased resource, but now it feels like a glorified referral hub. They pushed a specific high-yield savings account as a "top pick," but completely buried the fact that the rate drops drastically after three months unless you set up a direct deposit. When a site puts paid partnerships ahead of transparency, it loses its main purpose.
NerdWallet: poor experience
I had a negative experience with NerdWallet and decided not to continue using their services. Customer support response was slow and I did not get the value I expected from my purchase.

Don’t look to Nerd Wallet for REAL company reviews. I followed their advice for a top mortgage lender “Better Mortgage “. I reached out for a Home Equity loan. Easily got approved. The process was easy. UNTIL it came to the signing. Tonight was the third time the notary failed to show. Only tonight did I google the company and find TONS of ONE STAR reviews with warnings to avoid this company. So why did Nerd Wallet sing their praises as a top lender??? Idk. But I suspect better mortgage PAID them to do so. SHAME ON THESE COMPANIES that prey on people just trying to get by. Shame.
Useless Website - User Experience Terrible
How is having a website but the options not available and only on mobile helpful to the consumer/users? If we are unable to access the mobile app or have our phones nearby and log into the website, we are unable to see anything regarding our credit health, etc. It is pointless and incentives a person to just stop being a user in general. It was not like this before and now everything is "available in the app".
