THEY SUSPENDED ME WITH NO EXPLANATION AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THEY NEVER EXISTED !!!! I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING WRONG BUT THEY SUSPENDED ME ANYWAYS
On June 24, 2026, Nextdoor wrongfully censored an educational local history post honoring Technical Sergeant Leonard Matlovich, a decorated Gay Vietnam War veteran, and documenting the history of the pink triangle symbol in Nashville's Melrose neighborhood. Nextdoor’s local reviewers hid the post under the malicious pretense that it was "Disrespectful" and involved bullying or shaming. In reality, the post was a meticulously factual civil narrative with zero instances of incivility. This incident highlights a severe, ongoing pattern where Nextdoor relies on an unmonitored architecture of local volunteer moderators who continuously engage in homophobic, racist, and deeply biased censorship. Local volunteer Leads routinely weaponize the platform's reporting tools to systematically erase LGBTQ+ history, minority visibility, and civil rights topics. This selective enforcement exposes a severe corporate hypocrisy: while Nextdoor claims to build and strengthen local civic life, its platform actively suppresses it. By maintaining anti-transparency rules that ban users from publicly questioning moderation decisions, Nextdoor deliberately creates a closed informational loop. This architecture shields an unaccountable, politically biased network of anonymous volunteers from community oversight while systematically eroding public trust. Nextdoor corporate leadership actively enables this toxic environment through absolute non-response and failed oversight. I escalated this systemic bias directly to CEO Nirav Tolia and the executive team on June 24, 2026, at 11:48 PM, and again on June 25, 2026, at 8:39 AM. Despite receiving automated corporate confirmations pledging a resolution within 24–48 hours, Nextdoor has completely ignored the escalation as of July 11, 2026. Nextdoor's failure to regulate its rogue volunteer network permits unchecked discrimination to dictate platform health. I request that Nextdoor corporate management immediately overhaul its localized moderation system, remove biased volunteer Leads, and permanently establish transparent review processes that protect legitimate civic discourse.
Terrible app and when you try to delete it they don’t even slow it as you will find your pages till there , also it’s awuful for bussiness , as they don’t verify anything, don’t join it’s terrible
Nextdoor does not care about the cohesiveness of our neighborhoods. They do not care if people get trolled to the verge of suicide. Nextdoor is a gimmick to charge people for advertising. The more members they have, the more they can charge.
Purely neighborhood drama in Madison, Alabama from people who don’t even live in neighborhoods.
Nextdoor is really incompetent, and they treat their members like children. You cannot reason with them especially in Nextdoor support it seems they just copy and paste their answers over and over again. And they don’t get back to you when you’re asking for additional information. It’s sad that they don’t treat you like an adult. Plus, I truly don’t know where they find the review team members. and they still don’t get about reporting the true members who. actually abuse the system..
This review pains me to write. Nextdoor as a social networking service platform has so much potential, but flounders in a sea of confusing policies and a tsunami of moderation blunders that seem down right mean at times. Recently, a handicapped artist who shares an original work of art every day to the Nextdoor community had her account suspended. Nextdoor accused her of violating Nextdoor’s TOS, labeling her once a day posts as “Spam”. When I wrote about it on Nextdoor, in a clear and factual manner, my post was “hidden” by Nextdoor. There is a desperate need for a platform like Nextdoor, but as it is today, using Nextdoor to communicate with others in our community, has been emotionally draining at best.
a completely biased app..i asked for a local latin owned lawn service i was attacked by black people being called racist..and i see them only wanting to promote black only businesses and i am racist really?
a garbarge site - people who run it make random decisions.
I was banned because another user got upset that I called them out for being rude/disrespectful. 0/10
This app is nothing more than mean people and gossip. The mediators are a nightmare. Power hungry bitties who believe it's okay to express their opinion, but you are not allowed to have your opinion. This is an awful app in all capacities.
The app is a good idea gone wrong. Very abusive people who like to encourage sexism and moderators that are very heavily female Bias. They show no interest in facts, I never was mean no swearing and just stood up for being a man not to be belittle or marginalized certain groups of people. Bad app bad moderators and if you choose to go on this app I wish you luck. Any responses from moderators is gum flapping to me....just a bunch of liars
There are the bias moderators that Target people and take down their post even though they don't go against guidelines. Over the past 3 days they've taken down over 30 post of mine anyone who shares my post it gets taken down to. I am not the only one that says they are biased. They took down 10 of my posts back to back at 2:00 in the morning. I have the names of the moderators that are doing it. Someone else that's on the review team told me that these two female moderators are always taking down post that don't go against guidelines. Isn't that considered harassment? They need to hire professional people, not immature biased moderators. My post were were like any other post that I still see up but they take mine down every time.
If you are a conservative, you will be silenced. It doesn’t matter what names you are being called. The minute you challenge someone and ask for an example, you are silenced by being suspended. Someone posted “Trump lies” so I politely asked, please give us an example of one of his lies? The next day, my account was suspended for that very reason. They are shadowing me. Every post I make, I am suspended now.
Interesting how they support silencing a victim who’s actually in the minority instead of holding accountable actual criminals. Statistics don’t lie. They want you to fluff up the information about criminal behavior so it doesn’t make a certain population bad even if it fits the statistics. Sick of this DEI bs. Hold criminals accountable
I was reorganizing my garage and listed multiple items for sale on ND that I no longer needed. I listed around 7 items and a week later I lowered the price on several items and changed the thumbnail of one item. Then ND removed the for sale items that I edited and gave me a spam warning. I didn't do anything wrong. I used the app as it is intended and designed. I only replied to DMs after someone reached out to me. I relisted those 5 items for sale, as the app allows me to do (and without any warnings). The next day my account is suspended for spam guideline violations. I emailed their support at nextdoor dot com email asking what I did and how to get my account un-suspended. I am 100% convinced their email responses are AI. "Donna" is an AI bot for sure. Below is the last response I received from ND... I completely understand why this situation feels confusing, especially since you were using the Marketplace features as they are presented in the app and were trying to sell legitimate items. While I can't provide an exact number of listings, renewals, or messages that would trigger enforcement, the suspension was likely related to patterns of activity that were reviewed under our spam guidelines. On Nextdoor, Spam is generally defined as unwanted, unsolicited, and/or repeated activity that negatively affects neighbors and the community. This can include repeatedly posting the same or similar content, renewing or reposting content in ways that increase visibility, sending a high volume of messages related to sales activity, or other activity that appears overly promotional. Based on your description, it does not appear that any single listing, edit, or message caused the issue. Rather, it was likely the overall pattern of Marketplace activity, including listing, reposting, and sales-related engagement within a relatively short period of time. I also understand your question about why the app allows certain actions if they can later be found to violate guidelines. In many cases, enforcement reviews look at the broader pattern of activity rather than any one action by itself, which is why activity that is technically allowed by the posting tools may still be reviewed under our policies. I realize this may still not answer every question, but I hope it provides more context around how the review was evaluated. I appreciate your patience and your efforts to understand the guidelines so you can continue using Marketplace successfully.
I have found nextdoor is providing a platform for criminals to prey on homeowners. When I questioned how a company that advertised they are licensed, bonded and insured when they are not are allowed to continue scamming homeowners out of money. I was told that's not against the guidelines! They don't have to be licensed. And evidently it's okay for them to lie publicly and claim that they are. A lead told me most of these people are ex convicts. They are criminals with a criminal history! When a homeowner tries to warn others in the community, their account will be suspended! I think now this app was created by criminals, for criminals. I would not recommend anybody use the app. It is not a safe place.
Actually 0 stars. It is absolutely impossible to stop receiving Nextdoor spam emails, no matter how many times or ways you unsubscribe. It is also not even an option to delete your account entirely and request all your date be removed from their database. The only thing you can successfully do is "deactivate" your account. Absolutely the worst of the worst.
I Had a leak at the back of my toilet. It was fixed quickly and efficiently. Many thanks by Handy Talents,of Calne.
