Vanguard Movers hastily moved all my furniture; while keeping all my belongings protected. My mover Nashat was very friendly, and patient with the whole process. Nashat worked Extremely hard and fast. This guy gets work done! I’m very pleased with the outcome, and the timely manner of my moving experience. 07/ 29 / 2026
Quote they gave was half of their carriers’ finalized price. Minimal to no contact, no confirmation on when they were coming to pick up goods after they initially stated they were confirmed for the wrong week. Are more than two weeks late with delivery, and now am fully unable to reach them. Terrible company.
Items broken, lost, some items delivered were not ours. Assumed those people have my things. Delivery Driver quite rude. Salesman lied. Offered Our own 26’ truck straight through & increased charge for this. Picked up starting at 5 pm in a rental truck. Semi delivered at the other end!
I have filed with BBB as well as a police report. I was told by Alex Connor my deposit would be FULLY REFUNDABLE. The scenario I specifically asked about was if anything in the moving process fell through, would my deposit be refunded. He told me yes. Unfortunately, I needed to cancel the move and asked today for my deposit to be refunded. Now, they are inventing new rules and telling me it’s not. They have no invented a “3 day refund” rule as well as “an act of god” rule, neither of which are in contract, my signed quote, or anywhere in writing. It was asked multiple times, they confirmed multiple times “yes, your deposit is refundable”. Nowhere in my signed quote, any communication, does a full refund come with conditions. I’ve requested a full refund several times and Alex is now routing me to “support”, although his name, number and the support email address are all beneath his name on my invoice. Absolutely avoid this business AT ALL COSTS!!
Horrible company. My mom signed a move through them a while ago, we were first with another company then transferred to next stop after the contacted was signed. Once the mover finally came to pack our stuff after changing the set time multiple times, they wanted to Lesotho 80% of the money then and now which was not agreed upon. They packed my things on May 18th. It is Now July 5th and they barely ever answer us, if they do it’s once in a century and it’s always like your things are coming soon, and just lying. We were told 10-15 business days and my things would be here. My things are still not here, and they are never reaching out. They are a complete scam company and have just stolen all of my items, I am a college girl in my twenties and I can’t afford to lose everything yet here we are. The last guy we’ve contacted told use our things were near by and the driver would contact us, that was a week ago and we have gotten no contact and now the guy isn’t answering us. Please help, I’m not even sure what to do anymore, but definitely talking with the police and a lawyer. NEVER USE THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOULL NEVER SEE YOUR THINGS EVER AGAIN!
I was quoted one price, but had to pay more. I was told my move from Tx to Fl would be 5-7 days and it was 16. Mark said to call/text anytime he’d be with me whole transition. I now have 10-15 peoples names and numbers. They are very hard to get ahold of with #’s working one day and not the next. I’m still waiting on someone to call me back from corporate office. Now I need to file a claim for damaged items. Awful! Please don’t hire this company to help you move!
Horrible company. Lied thst they are veteran owned and operated. Held my things in a truck until I paid cash. These are bad people. Stay away
Where do I begin. DON’T TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!! I’ll start there. Paid deposit, movers did not show. The guy I originally spoke with, Alex Connor, would not respond to texts, emails, or calls. After they didn’t show, the next day, I got a text saying the movers would be at my place between 11-12. When I responded, do not come I have cancelled move, they responded, sorry wrong number. Very shady people and company!!! If I could give a O score I would.
Great initial contact by and agreement made with Mark Edwards. As a military family, we prefer to support military owned companies. Had regular communication up to scheduled move date. Then started the issues. Be warned and beware...this is bait and switch at its finest...never is it disclosed that the move would be subbed out and that Next Stop is a broker! Our "mover" showed up outside of agreed time frame and tried to start the clock an hour before he even pulled up! He cash-hired a helper off Craig's list that morning (who ended up being a nice guy and an absolute workhorse who did almost all the lifting and carrying by himself!). The driver was rude, argumentative, and completely unhinged at times, screaming at the other worker, ranting in Arabic, and completely upsetting and scaring my family. He threatened to offload what had been loaded and refused to take some listed items, yet loaded some that weren't. Agreement was for padded wrapping (the only thing used was moving blankets and not on everything), disassembly (we did that) and reassembly (we did that). Driver refused to leave for location until balance of $500 was paid (our agreed upon price from Mark was $900 total- was a 20 mile local move). Driver stopped at convenience store for 15 minutes en route. Upon arrival to location, he then refused to unlock and offload until another $600 was paid, claiming time would go over contract - he demanded another 3 hours worth paid time. Multiple phone messages and texts to Mark and the company itself went unanswered all day. Received a single text the next day from Mark saying he would have someone reach out. When I requested that it be he, I heard nothing else, but received an email that stated who the moving line would be, and that they would be held to Next Stop standards... this TWO days after the move took place. Nope, just nope. To all of it. BBB complaint filed.
Angel is my contract writer. He is very kind and made the whole process so easy. Walked me through everything. Was very accommodating in my rushed move. Looking forward to the move in a week. I'm sure all will go well
⭐ 1 Star – Beware of Deposit Practices and Bait-and-Switch Pricing BEWARE: If you pay a deposit through this company, carefully review how the payment is processed. When I disputed my deposit through PayPal, I learned the payment had been processed as a "gift," which significantly limited my buyer protections. I contacted Next Stop Relocation for a long-distance move and specifically explained that I needed the FULL cost upfront so I could properly budget for my move. During my consultation with Mark, I provided detailed information about every item I needed moved, including a king-size bed, twin trundle bed, three-piece sectional, L-shaped desk, dresser, nightstands, bookshelf, bins, plants, and other household items. I was quoted approximately $2,300 total and was told this covered the move. I paid an $800 deposit based on those representations. The remaining balance was to be split between pickup and delivery. On moving day, the movers arrived approximately one hour late. After assessing the exact items that had already been disclosed and itemized during the booking process, I was informed that my price would suddenly increase to approximately $5,300 because they claimed I had significantly more cubic footage than originally estimated. Nothing substantial had changed from the inventory I originally provided. The same furniture and household items that were disclosed during booking were now being used to justify more than doubling the quoted price. When I contacted the company to express concerns about what appeared to be a bait-and-switch pricing tactic, I was told that because I declined the dramatically increased price, I had "refused service" and therefore would not receive my deposit back. As a result, I have filed complaints and disputes while simultaneously trying to secure another moving company during an urgent relocation. My experience was that the quoted price did not reflect the actual amount demanded on moving day, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to obtain detailed written documentation regarding cubic footage calculations, final pricing, cancellation terms, and deposit handling before making any payment.
If I could give less than one star, I would. Do not use this company. You’d be better off carrying your furniture yourself.. it is a bait and switch company. You think you’re hiring this company to move your belongings, but what they do is outsource to other companies. That are not veteran owned and barely speak English, no offense to anybody. I had a quote and they brought a truck that wasn’t big enough even after I told him just about every item that needed to be moved so unfortunately, some of my belongings were left behind. Also, because they didn’t have certain things listed that I told them they held my furniture hostage until I paid additional money I was told they would show up between 8 AM and 11 AM then around noon I was told they would be there about 1 PM well 1 PM came and went and still nothing. No one showed up then I get another call stating that they’ll be there by 4 o’clock so finally they show up a little after 4:30. Now mind you when they brought my belongings to my new house they didn’t leave until almost 3 o’clock in the morning. And you tell them where to put something and they just put it in the wrong place so now I had to move stuff around after paying them such a high amount of money I’ve had to move things myself. I will be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and I will take them to Small Claims Court if necessary to recoup some of my funds Again stay away from this company. They are not who they say they are. I come from a military family. I worked with the VA for over 13 years. My family does everything we can to support veteran However, this company claims owned and operated by veterans however, they send the worst company to move your belongings. They don’t actually do it themselves. So I had some company that I did not give any authorization to touch myself, but I had no And there is nowhere in the companies website, Facebook page communication that states anything about the work being outsourced to a different company So that’s a bait and switch to me. They should be ashamed of themselves, canning people at their hard earned money just to move It’s embarrassing, knowing how much money I spend and what they put me through But they wouldn’t take myself off the truck or allow me to take it off the truck until I paid them so much more money And I have it all on video So I guess I’ll see them in court but please don’t use this company
Quote of $7800 went to just shy of $15k! Actual persons who loaded our belongings used our packing materials and left trash all over. Items that were not to be loaded on to the truck were loaded and items that were to have been on the truck had to be left behind due to not having a large enough truck. We advised the size of our home and that a semi would be needed but that was ignored. We still have another truck load to move and we will NOT be using this company nor recommending them. We have made numerous calls and emailed the "secondary" broker that was involved to file a claim for all of the broken items and for the marks on the walls in our new home but still no response. We directly asked if Next Stop Relocation was a broker; we were advised that they were not. They brokered our move to another company in New Jersey who then gave the move to the actual person who did the move. Both Next Stop and Fair Rate were rude when questioned about anything. Fair Rate even threatened to tell the movers to start unloading the truck if we didn't send them $6600 more, giving us only 40 minutes to go to the bank to Zelle the funds. When the unloading of the truck at our new home was almost complete, one of the workers demanded a tip from us for the work he had done. NEVER have we experienced such unprofessional service. We were trying to support the Veteran Owned company - will not make that mistake again.
Do NOT HIRE THEM. Warning. They will rip you off. They stole $13,000. They never did any work for us!!! They refuse to return phone calls or return our money.
I was quoted 2900.00 for a move from Billings MT to Helena MT (217 miles) or 3-hour drive. The move was booked for pickup and same day delivery 4/3/26. On 4/2/26, I was called at 4:00pm and told my quote was incorrect and was changed to 4800.00 less than 24 hours before the move. I had to pay an additional 950.00 to deposit or they would not schedule the truck. There was absolutely no change to the inventory. Pictures were sent at time of quote. I was then informed at 1830 4/2 that the truck would be Saturday between 8-10 AM. On Saturday morning 4/4, the driver called at stated they would be at my home around 4PM. He picked up two guys off Craig's list on the way "professional movers." I was charged for 3 TV boxes which were not provided-they wrapped TV's in moving blankets. they shrink wrapped furniture with no padding. Broke front door and one of the bedroom doors during loading. Cost me 754.00 to replace those doors. Additionally, they scammed me for another 800.00 at loading or refused to load the rest. Arrived at new home at 11:00PM. They took absolutely NO care in unloading. they dropped boxes of the lift on the truck. They broke (destroyed) a nightstand and put it in the garage without telling me. When I asked, he responded "something must have fell on it in the truck." they broke dishes, destroyed boxes, dumped stuff wherever they wanted. they did not unwrap anything. They lost the hardware to my desk so they left it in two pieces. they left all their garbage, blankets, shrink wrap, gloves, and other items for me to deal with. They left at 2:00. Tried to sneak out into the truck. When I asked if they were going to finish the work, the driver stated "I worked all day, F*** YOU" then closed truck door in my face and pulled away. They will NOT respond to you following the move. they refuse to communicate or send me an insurance claim form. they damaged multiple pieces of furniture by not padding or protecting it. Driver kept saying "its not that far." All said and done $5800.00 for worse move ever, 754.00 in damages to old home and hundreds of dollars in damaged and destroyed items. They need to be put out of business - they quote, sell move to someone else, then take no responsibility.
I was given a quote that is reasonable at this stage of moving. It was nice that I was given a discount for my husband's military service. I will review them further when the move is completed - we are at the beginning and id recommend them as if now
We are so frustrated with this company ! First of you get a quote with this company, they apparently sell your contract to someone else to pick up & then again to another company to drive … so far 30 days & we haven’t got anywhere !!!Horrible !! Do not use … of course no one will talk to you after they get their money !!!
Promised big for a month on phone calls back and forth with Mark Edwards. I told him the size of my storage unit and sent a video of my belongings. I said the most important thing in my move is to agree on a price, and please promise me you won't change it. I would rather pay a higher estimate than be charged more on the day of the move. He said, "Don't worry, as long as you don't have a piano in your unit, I can guarantee the price of $ 2,800. Day of pick up, Josue said I would have to pay $4,200 So he left 10 % of my belongings behind. Most of the items were on the contract. Forcing me to pay another month's rent or donate my belongings. Reached out to Mark Edwards the following day, and he blocked my call. Then he had his co-worker Katie call, and she put me on hold, then hung up, and she blocked me. I called Nicole in Customer Service 7 times. No phone call was ever returned. 3 weeks later, the delivery company wanted to charge me an additional $2,100 to receive my belongings. I got an attorney involved, and they were not able to get to speak with anyone from The Next Stop Relocation. The numbers on the website for the owners of the company are not theirs. The gentleman who has that number was kind enough to answer my call and say he has received numerous amounts of calls and it's not George's number. I was so stressed out about this situation that I informed Josue and the dispatcher at the third company involved in the move that I would report them to the Greenwich Police station. Fortunately, I got a wonderful man on the phone, and they agree to deliver my belongings and take the loss and just charge me the remaining bill from the $2,800. Dealing with this company was a nightmare. Please do your research before hiring them. Just as I was writing a review, I received a call from someone in NYC who has some of my boxes. All my tax receipts and sons baseball card collection.
These guys all sounded good on paper, but Josh was an absolute liar. He quoted one price, said they charge by the sq. ft., then once they showed up at the new house, decided they now charge by weight and jacked the price up by $3,000. Then they wouldn't unload my items until I paid. That, and they broke a ton of items during the move. Absolutely avoid these guys at all costs! Their own staff even warned us they would try to rip us off, and did! Do not go near these guys or do any business with them unless you want to pay extra for breaking half of the items in your house. Stay very far away!
