Read this before signing with Numeral
Please read this review before signing up for Numeral. We switched from another provider to numeral and thought we were getting a superior service. It has been the absolute worst experience, and we've had bad sales tax providers before: 1. didn't actually register us in states that they said they would register. Took 4 months of constant followups 2. didn't file on time. we've had to pay thousands of dollars in penalties and more are still being reported to us. 3. completely unresponsive for weeks at a time. There was a period where they didn't reply to us for almost a month. 4. They forget instructions. We have told them 10+ times to autofile and they still don't. Then there are late penalties because they don't file on time. I hate writing negative reviews for companies because I'm a business owner too. I get it companies make mistakes, but this has been a constant mess that they keep saying they are going to resolve and they haven't. I truly don't understand how they retain customers and I'm only sharing this to help others avoid the massive headache we've been dealing with. I have limited experience with a lot of the other providers, but I'd just say try anyone else but Numeral. I'm not trying to sell someone else, just avoid Numeral.

Incompetent. Customer Support Lies And Ignores You For Weeks
We are now facing over $1,300 in fines and potential collection action because Numeral failed to file our sales tax report correctly. On top of that, response times have been extremely slow, often taking weeks or going unanswered entirely. During onboarding, we were told we’d have access to a virtual mailbox. Now we’re being told we can’t access it so they simply lied. We have no visibility into what’s being filed on our behalf, and when something goes wrong, it takes months to resolve. For states where they handle registration, you’re also unable to log in yourself. While they do provide credentials, verification emails go to them, effectively locking you out.
Absolutely terrible client care..
Absolutely terrible client care... Not 1 reply in 5 days of waiting... And my applications have said pending for over a week... When it said 3 days wait. What is this?
Bad experience
Paid for filings/registrations. They were never submitted. No replies to emails/messages. No support. I need a service I can trust.

Tops in the industry
I've had a great experience with Numeral during my year+ with them. I had a horrendous experience with Avalara previously, so Numeral was my second vendor in this space. The setup was a little bumpy, but multiple resources from Numeral helped to get us on track. Once we got through the first few months, everything has been smooth sailing and the time I need to spend reviewing sales tax has dropped significantly. The support team has been helpful along the way as well. I would recommend if you have complex sales tax needs.
Use Numeral NOT Avalara Tax - Life Saver
After a horrible experience with Avalara Tax, I'm glad I found Numeral. If you're looking to have your state sales taxes handled for your e-commerce, DO NOT use Avalara; instead, use Numeral.

I contacted the support team to gain access to the tax portals, but the support agent hasn't responded in over a week with two follow up messages. Pretty much being ignored. Customer service is not great
Disappointed- Don't make the same mistake
Wow, totally disappointed. Was supposed to review first month of filings and they just auto filed and can't get anyone on the phone. All emails are responded to with AI. DONT make the same mistake with your business. Robots can not do the job of humans.
Now my finance dept can focus on more important matters for my business
Numeral has helped my finance department ease the management of nexus and a variety of sales tax related matters. As a founder, I love knowing tools like this can relieve my finance team to instead put their energy and time in more important areas of my brand growth such as scaling and dialing in our financials internally.
