I wish there was an option to leave no stars for originalpaintbynumber.com. I ordered a custom of my dog in April, maybe early May. I received an owl about 2 weeks ago (it’s August). During the time I was awaiting my pbn, I tried to call the phone number that used to be provided on the website (no longer available). There was a voicemail of a guy saying they were too busy to answer the phone or return phone calls. There was no way to leave a message. They do not answer emails either. The only communication I’ve had with them is through the PayPal Resolution Center. They want me to return the owl to CHINA and then I will get my refund. It costs more to ship to China than the actual owl so no, I will not be sending their painting back to China. Do not use them, they will take months to send you something that you don’t even want. Reading through the reviews, the quality sucks anyway.
Never received, filed claim and got refund from credit card company
Ordered in April 2020, emailed them three times in April, May and June and never heard back or received my items. I filed a claim with my credit card company and the money was refunded by the credit card company. The claim form was online and took less than 5 minutes to do.
So, don't buy from them... and if you do and don't receive your order or receive any information, go right to your credit card company for a resolution.
I ordered last June 25, 2020. Last few days ago (literal after 6 weeks has past) I received an email that my order from them is shipped already and I checked the tracking they provided. It was now in Beijing China international mail processing center. I ordered reindeer and an owl hahaha.. I think I may receive an owl then. As you guys received it although you didn't ordered it.

Ordered 4 different paintings from them back in May and it’s August now, still haven’t received it! I reached out to them, but they only replied once, basically tell me to wait!!! I want my refund!
0 stars. Do not purchase from this company. I ordered back in May 2020 and it is now mid-August 2020. The tracking number was lost and I received no reply when contacting customer service. Today, August 12, 2020 I received something from this company and it was a picture of an owl!! Below me is another comment who received an owl too! Scam. I'm sad I fell for this.
As many here, I ordered back in April and I have not gotten anything back. No customer service. They’re quick to take your money and ghost you afterward. I’m raising a formal complaint with the authorities.
BEWARE, This is a scam! I ordered 3 items from them. 6 weeks later after numerous unsuccessful attempts to cancel or at least get an update (no number to call and no matter what you email them about you get the same form letter back), still no notice of shipping, I then filed a credit dispute after which I miraculously got a notice of shipping. That was 3 weeks ago. Of course the tracking # they provided wasn’t real and the items never arrived
At first i believed this was a scam as nobody got back to my emails, it took months for the order to be dispatched and was dispatched under "mens leather belt", was unable to track and my account seemed to be deleted.
So i just assumed I would never receive anything!
However, after 4 and a half months, my order arrived. Not packaged the best, but looks decent quality! ☺
0 stars. Ordered a custom paint by number canvas in May. Never received anything and couldn’t get in contact with ANYONE. It’s now August and I finally received my painting. I was super excited until I realized it wasn’t even my custom painting I uploaded, it was a picture of an owl. I’m pissed!!!! I don’t even like owls.

This "1" star review should be actually a "0" . I never received my paint by numbers that I ordered in April. I cannot "track my order" anymore as I get a 404 error (they probably deleted it, with little to no intention of ever sending anything). I have contacted them multiple times demanding my money back and all I get is an automated reply saying how they are getting a high email volume and here's some boiler plate information. This is definitely a scam and their site should be shut down for fraud.

In April and they arrived today, August 9! Had two create your own and one standard. They look correct and excited to start the projects. I had given up but here they are!!
I too ordered in April. It took a month for them to process and say it shipped. That was June 2 and they said 2-4 weeks. It is August and it has not arrived. Any requests are meant with a template email offering excuses and no direct contact information. AVOID.
Not a scam, but long delivery time + poor communication
Ordered in April, received in August. All 4 canvases and paints were included, and the prints look pretty good. The major downfall here was obviously the poor communication and ridiculous delivery time. I started to think they were scammers, but decided to wait it out in the hopes of them being totally romped by Covid before escalating for a refund. Fortunately, I was right, and my order arrived today!
Haven't opened any of the paint kits etc yet, but the canvases seem to be printed fine, all colours and brushes are included and all is well labelled. Keen to start painting, if I'm honest (only been waiting a few months!). Will be sticking to an Australian company in future, however.
What a disappointment this is . I ordered this in mid May for my daughter in law as a gift. What a piece of junk. The packaging was damaged .... the canvas was damaged. I would not suggest you waste your money on this POS.
I ordered 2 paintings back in March 2020.Up til now...not even notification that order moved past original transaction receipt.
Thank God I went through PayPal. Entered into open dispute with company.
PayPal came through in end and fully refunded my money.
This company is totally untrustworthy
TL:DR; Stay away. They are a rip-off.
I placed my order on March 20th. I received it on July 27th. They were unresponsive to my requests for an update on the shipping, except for providing a tracking number that didn't match the one on the package that arrived.
I ordered 4 kits. Within minutes of opening the first kit, I noticed some problems. 1) Someone wrote in ballpoint pen on the canvas. 2) The image was printed incorrectly-not as advertised. It was poorly cropped. The head of an animal was cut off at the bottom, the surrounding trees were cut in half. The building that had been in a distance, was now front and center. 3) The paints provided did not match the colors in the image. They were the wrong chroma. What should have been pink was orange paint, purple was mauve, light grey was tan, dark grey was green-brown.
The second kit was even worse - six of the paints were missing, one of the paints opened in transit and spilled all over the remaining paints. So six are missing, one is empty, two are sealed shut from dried paint. I never even started it.
At first, I thought the third kit was the wrong item, but then I realized they had badly cropped the image from the website that it was unrecognizable. They zoomed in way too much. Plus, it was missing paint AND it was printed on the canvas so crooked, that if I was to complete this and want to display it, I'll have to cut it to fit a frame to be straight.
The 4th kit, again the paints don't match what they should be in the image and it's a cropped version of the original picture as advertised, but at least it's mostly straight. However, there are four areas where it is misaligned; by millimeters so I can hide them with paint, but it shouldn't be this messed up.
Also, they made it seem that the kits would come on stretched canvas. Nope, they were rolled up in a non-waterproof package.
Never order from them.
Very much disappointed. Ordered two items since March. It’s August now and not receiving both. I wrote to them but all I get is automatic replies.
I think they are scammers.
