A truly free PDF editor that works great
Thank you! So wonderful to find a PDF editor that is free and works well, without hurdles to use or data/privacy concerns.
PDFgear is a giant piece of crap
PDFgear is a giant piece of crap. I spent 4 hours making meticulous notes on a pdf document and it crashed. No in-work backups, nothing! Then I went to send my comments to PDFgear and the Contact Us message "failed to send". crap, crap, crap.
No Paywalls!
Works as I wanted and there was no pushy paywalls making me pay for features that should have been part of the program to begin with.
Always reliable and truly free
Always reliable and truly free. It's my one stop document program
Love it
Love it. Works really well. Best of all it is absolutely free
This is hands down the most complete…
This is hands down the most complete free pdf application I have ever used. Does pretty much Adobe Acrobat does! I appreciate the developers for making this tool free. I strongly recommend.
The best PDF software I have ever used
The best PDF software I have ever used. I recommend this to every client I work with over Adobe. It's one of the cleanest and simplest UIs, and the best part is that it's free. There's really no replacing this, in my opinion. It does everything that Adobe tries to force you to pay for, and it's MUCH less annoying, has settings that you actually need, not 10,000 extras. Lightweight, responsive, loads fast, and easy to use.
Very practical and best of all
Very practical and best of all, it is free! A perfect program for anyone who needs freedom to edit and work on pdfs as they wish.
Everything acrobat does for free
Does everything I did with adobe acrobat while not fleecing me like they did. A recommend from me.
PDFgear is AMAZING!
First and foremost, the download is FREE. Customer support is topnotch. I am a court reporter and find all of the features offered in the app absolutely amazing. I have told so many of my colleagues about PDFgear. One of my favorite features is the merge option so I can attach scanned exhibits to the back of transcripts into one document. I have never enjoyed a free app as much as this one! Just wish I'd found it sooner.
Goodbye Adobe!!!
The app was easy to use, got everything I needed done, and was free! PDFgear feels like what Adobe should be. Why do I need to pay a monthly subscription so I can make a quick edit on a PDF document once every few months?! With PDFgear I was able to redact personal info from a medical document, highlight the relevant text, and flatten it to send back to a provider. Highly recommended - and free!!!

This is an excellent program and has so many possibilities.
Great software
Great software. Easy to use for a novice like me!! Love it!!
Works great - Strongly Suggest
Works great. I needed to rotate all pages on a very large document and it did the job. Haven't yet used other features but confident they will work too.
Easy to use
Easy to use, using it to resize postage labels right now.
Perfect!!
Perfect!!! In today’s world, basic needs are not the same as they used to be. PDF files have become absolutely essential for many vital tasks in modern life—ranging from interactions with tax authorities and government agencies to school-related activities, as well as the personal archiving and organization of digital documents concerning ourselves or our families. Kudos to the PDFgear team for offering this for free! All these new "basic" needs of modern life should be met at no cost; governments should recognize this and take a stand against those who exploit us for profit. Meanwhile, we, as ordinary citizens, need to finally wake up and demand what should be a given! Personally, since I’m in a position to do so, I will definitely be making a donation to the company!!! Thank you PDFgear team!!!
I've only been using PDFGear for a few…
I've only been using PDFGear for a few weeks but it is so refreshing not to have nag screens for payments to a "new" version of a PDF editor I never asked for. PDFGear have completely replaced all aspects of my old (paid for) PDF software. Good tutorials & guides providing quick solutions. A great collection of utilities that I haven't found wanting yet. Can't reccomend it highly enough.
Best TRULY Free PDF Viewer / Editor on Windows 11
Best free PDF viewing and editing experience on Windows 11. I just moved away from Adobe's free software which is just clunky, slow, and littered with constant pop-ups and garbage. I tried a few free alternatives but this one seems by far the best.
Does exactly what I need it to do…
Does exactly what I need it to do without the exorbitant prices Adobe now charge. I actually prefer the UI on PDFgear. Easy to use and navigate and would recommend this package.
