Our experience with Mariana Trias was extremely disappointing. She initially scheduled a Spanish tutoring session for my daughter, but the very next day she blocked us without any explanation. We received no communication from her or from Preply about what happened. This lack of professionalism and communication left us with a very poor experience, especially since my daughter was looking forward to starting her lessons. Instead of feeling welcomed as new customers, we were left confused and frustrated. Unfortunately, this experience has left a very negative impression of both the tutor and Preply. Based on how this situation was handled, we are no longer interested in using the platform. I hope both the tutor and Preply improve their communication and professionalism so other families do not have a similar experience.

Finding starting new course is easy and good. But cancellation is not. Too complicated and it's not simple to just cancel, the system almost designed not allow you to cancel.

Atención con las estafas de Preply. Contraté una clase de prueba con Anna B., hablé con ella de mi interés por contratar dos clases semanales lunes y miércoles por 4 semanas y si tenía disponibilidad ahora y por por la mañana. Me afirmó que la tenía a las 10,30 pero para reservarla debía pagar el servicio. Al hacerlo, casi de inmediato me aparece reprogramada la última semana. Le escribo que debe ser un error y me responde que ella tomará vacaciones la primera semana de agosto. Esto lo sabía cuando tuvo el encuentro de prueba , pero lo ocultó. A la clase siguiente, perdí tiempo hablando de este tema y ella verbalmente me ofreció media hora más de clase los cuatro últimos días, pero inmediatamente después llegan mensajes diciendo que no se puede reprogramar si no renuevo mi suscripción que vence el 5 de agosto. Lo cual es improcedente pedirlo a mediados de julio. este mensaje se repite varias veces. En el último encuentro de hoy, julio 26 programa de palabra conmigo las últimas dos clases, postergadas por su problema, para el 17 y 19 de agosto. Inmediatamente de terminada la clase aparecen reprogramadas para el 24 y 26 de agosto. Fechas que no son factibles para mí y no era lo pactado. Y Anna B. insiste con que debo renovar la suscripción. O sea, es una estafa bien calculada para la que Preply no brinda ninguna solución. Preply no protege a sus clientes. Además cobra más de lo anunciado pero ese es otro tema. Beware of Preply scams. I booked a trial class with Anna B., expressing my interest in two weekly classes on Mondays and Wednesdays for four weeks, and asking if she was available in the morning. She confirmed she was available at 10:30, but I had to pay for the service to reserve it. Upon payment, the class was almost immediately rescheduled for the last week. I wrote to her explaining it must be a mistake, and she replied that she would be taking a vacation the first week of August. She knew this during the trial session but concealed it. At the next class, I wasted time discussing this issue, and she verbally offered me an extra half-hour of class time for the last four days. However, immediately afterward, I received messages stating that the class couldn't be rescheduled unless I renewed my subscription, which expired on August 5th. It's inappropriate to request this in mid-July. This message was repeated several times. In our last meeting today, July 26th, she verbally scheduled the final two classes, postponed due to her problem, for August 17th and 19th. Immediately after the class ended, they were rescheduled for August 24th and 26th. These dates are not feasible for me and were not what we agreed upon. And Anna B. insists that I renew my subscription. In other words, it's a well-calculated scam for which Preply offers no solution. Preply does not protect its customers. Furthermore, they charge more than advertised, but that's another issue. M C Isoba
