A Predatory, Outdated Money and Time Waste That Causes Severe Burnout
Choosing this program was a massive mistake. The Princeton Review does not actually teach you how to beat the digital SAT; they just dump over-complicated textbook methods on your desk and expect you to figure it out under a ticking timer.Worst of all, their class scheduling is completely unacceptable. For international students, they expect you to sit through useless lectures until 2:00 AM on weekdays, completely destroying your sleep schedule and school performance. When you ask for your money back because the course is actively harming your health, they hide behind strict "attendance tracking" policies to deny your refund. They track your typing activity and poll responses like micromanagers just so they can lock up your cash.Do not waste thousands of dollars on this company. You can learn better strategies and shortcuts on your own with Desmos in 20 minutes than they will show you in hours of exhausting, draining classes. Avoid them at all costs.

Nothing But Scam
They are a scam, with aggressive marketing and false promises of scoring 1400+. All their claims, like satisfaction guarantees and money-back guarantees, are fake. They even write their own Google reviews by hiring bot companies. I enrolled in their SAT prep course, which was very generic and offered no real strategies—just the same cookie-cutter material with no substance. My score before and after the course was almost the same, but what really irritates me is that before enrollment they claimed you could take the course unlimited times, and after enrolling, they said otherwise. It’s 100% a scam—they’ll say anything to get you to sign up, but once you do, they take your money and leave you with nothing but regret.

I am extremely disappointed with The…
I am extremely disappointed with The Princeton Review’s LSAT self-paced program and, more importantly, its customer service and refund process.
Before you spend hundreds or thousands of dollars, read the refund policy very carefully. If the course isn’t the right fit for you, don’t expect much flexibility. I found the policy to be rigid and completely one-sided, with little regard for customer satisfaction.
What frustrated me even more was the inability to speak with a manager. When I requested one, I was told that wasn’t possible. Instead, the customer service representative documented my questions, submitted them to management, and informed me that someone would call me back within two business days. If you have a time-sensitive issue, this process is incredibly frustrating. There is no opportunity to have a real conversation with someone who has the authority to resolve your concerns.
As a Texas customer, I also found this process concerning. Texas is a one-party consent state for recording conversations, meaning I can legally record my own calls. Yet instead of allowing customers to speak directly with a decision-maker, communication is filtered through an agent’s written summary of the conversation. That means management is relying on someone else’s interpretation of what you said rather than hearing your concerns firsthand. This creates unnecessary room for misunderstandings and leaves customers feeling unheard.
For a company that prepares future lawyers—people who are taught to value fairness, transparency, and due process—I expected a much more customer-focused approach. Instead, I experienced inflexible policies, poor escalation procedures, and a customer service model that felt designed to delay rather than resolve concerns.
There are many LSAT preparation companies competing for students today. Based on my experience, I would encourage prospective students to carefully compare refund policies and customer service before choosing The Princeton Review.
I cannot recommend this program.

I spent nearly $7,000 on Princeton Review's 1500+ SAT program, which included extensive one-on-one tutoring, and was extremely disappointed with both the experience and the results. After completing the program, my SAT score increased by only 10 points.
The biggest issue was the lack of personalization despite the program being marketed as a premium, individualized experience. My tutor did not spend enough time identifying and working on my specific weaknesses. Instead, sessions often felt focused on general strategies rather than addressing the areas where I actually needed improvement.
I was also disappointed that the tutor rarely explained the thought process behind difficult questions. Rather than teaching students how to think through problems and adapt to new question types, the approach seemed centered on memorizing techniques and shortcuts. This left me feeling unprepared when faced with unfamiliar questions on the actual exam.
Additionally, the tutor could be condescending at times, which made it uncomfortable to ask questions or admit when I did not understand a concept. For a one-on-one tutoring program at this price point, I expected a more supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Time management was another area that received far less attention than it should have. Even after months in the program, I still struggled with pacing on test day.
For $7,000, I expected highly personalized instruction, a clear plan to target my weaknesses, meaningful score improvement, and a tutor invested in my success. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Given the cost and minimal results, I would not recommend Princeton Review's 1500+ tutoring program.

The SAT 1400 program worked for my daughter
The SAT 1400 program worked for my daughter. She self-studied for her first two attempts and scored 1260 and 1270. We didn’t think she could get her target of 1400 without paying for a program so we spent the $1900 to take Princeton Review. Her third attempt at the SAT: 1400! I cannot say enough great things about it. Not only is she now competitive for admission to our state flagship universities, she has earned herself a 100% tuition scholarship to any public university in our home state. It was worth every penny.

enrolled in the 1500+ SAT course. Student did not accomplish either a 180 point jump or 1500. PULLING TEETH to get the promised refund. Delay, delay, delay. I believe the 1500+ is simply a bait and switch. Not cool!

I was apart of the act money back…
I was apart of the act money back package I did all the classes and finished the homework and I still didn’t qualify for the test because “ I missed the time frame” one time and another time I called and tried they told me “I had to take another test” I have taken 3 test for them to show them I do not recommend this as the money back program is a scam
I had a very positive experience with the course. It is pricy, but it is worth the investment as long as the student is willing to make the commitment. The new flexible attendance policy made it really easy to maintain the money-back-guarantee status, without missing out on life. My instructor, Jane M (Meadow) was truly a joy to work with. She was so knowledgeable and helpful with everything SAT related. Her energy made class very enjoyable and it is shocking how much I’ve learned from the course! Cannot recommend the course—and Meadow—enough!!
Phoebe was such a great teacher and went above and beyond with teaching. I got lucky getting her as mine!

Best Teacher Ever - LSAT - Phoebe B
I just finished the LSAT 170+ Online Course with Phoebe B. as my teacher and cannot recommend the class enough! She takes the material above and beyond in a way that allowed me to understand the components of the LSAT more, getting me to an score increase higher than I expected! Highly recommend! (I also hear she teaches GMAT, so if you're taking that test, I recommend her as well!)

An Ineffective SAT Prep Course
In December 2025 I took my first SAT without preparation and scored of 1460. After completing the Princeton Review SAT prep course, I retook the SAT in March 2026 and scored a 1360. It was a waste of time and money.

Princeton Review do not deliver what…
Princeton Review do not deliver what they promise. Not only their tutor was completely mediocre in his pedagogical capabilities and his weekly feedback to us was an emoji sign that basically means nothing (our daughter scored less after tutoring than before) there was one class left that was paid for and she wouldn’t use and they wouldn’t reimburse us. Incompetent and greedy behavior!
This was a great tutoring program, primarily due to my tutor Ryan Ste. Marie. He was extremely efficient, even with our limited hours, and got me to understand concepts with lots of patience through his adaptive teaching. Additionally, he got my score higher by over 400 points, landing me in a competitive position that I couldn't have reached without his tutoring.
Teachers are fantastic, I have used this for my SAT and PSAT to much success!!!!

We signed up for the 31+ money back…
We signed up for the 31+ money back guarantee. My daughter did not make the improvement that was needed so we qualified for the money back guarantee. We went thru the whole process with the one on one tutoring (My daughter enjoyed the tutor). My daughter was at every single scheduled session and took all but one of the practice test. You have to take 4 total practice test. The tutor scheduled all the sessions and the practice test except the 4th practice test. We asked our tutor about it and she told us due to lack of time and no more sessions to not take it. The last tutoring session was the Friday before the December 2025 ACT test. We followed everything the tutor told us to do. I filed for the money back guarantee to which I WAS DENIED due to not taking the last practice test. Keep in mind our tutor told us not to take it since there was no more sessions and the ACT a couple of days away. The tutor did all the scheduling and did not schedule it during the time frame that we paid for before the ACT.
Professor Aaron was excellent! He was extremely helpful in my overall understanding of LSAT concepts, both for RC & LR. He went into great detail on question types, testing strategies, and so many more topics. He was always open to review questions and really ensured that no one walked away feeling confused or uncertain about an answer. He also made class enjoyable and made a rather stressful test almost fun to tackle.

Helpful course lots of work !
I thought the instructor (Rowan) was really well put together and helpful. It made learning easier because it didn't feel too harsh or lacks. The homework was a large load but that's the only way I saw my score go up
