Chuck and his team were fantastic!

Chuck and his team were fantastic! We had an excellent experience with our recent shipment from the USA to Italy, and couldn't say more positive things about Chuck and his team. Chuck explained everything thoroughly, and did his best to keep our costs down, despite the fact that we were sending items from two different locations and had to have a shuttle at destination. He was also quick with each question and had nearly immediate responses, which was fantastic given we live on the east coast. (When does he sleep?!) The packing was careful and professional, and none of our breakables - including specially crated art - were damaged in transit. Additionally, the colleagues in Italy went out of their way to ensure that our shipment wasn't delayed at port or due to a national holiday AND a transit strike in Italy. They took their time and unpacked all of the items that we requested, assembling tables and other furniture with care and respect. We are a military family and have made several international moves, so we aren't newbies. We would rank Chuck and Rainier Overseas at the top of the list! Highly recommended.

USA to New Zealand, excellent movers!

We recently relocated to New Zealand from the United States, and we hired Rainier Overseas Movers to transport our cargo. While it was difficult to be without our belongings, our shipment was handled expertly on both sides of the globe, and has arrived safely without any issues whatsoever. Dave was our main contact in the states. He was a patient and helpful resource. No question was left unanswered... and I asked a lot of questions! The packing team was exceptional and within 2 days, our items were packed and ready to fill a 40’ container. Additional questions that arose during transport were responded to promptly by either Dave in the USA or Teresa, the New Zealand contact. It was great to see the vessel tracking site and know where our cargo was at any given point. Once our cargo arrived in New Zealand, Teresa of World Moving and Storage became our main contact. She was as patient and kind as was David. Everything went extremely smoothly. We were very impressed with the delivery crew; they were polite, careful, and very professional. We are still unpacking boxes but so far, we have found everything to be in excellent condition. Five stars — wouldn't use anyone else I have used Rainier Overseas Movers twice over the past 12 years for moving and shipping from the US to the UK, and on both occasions the service and communication were absolutely unbeatable. I have dragged this process out literally for years, with countless message back and forth, delays, rescheduling, all my fault, and all along he has been patient, good-natured, and supportive. Everything occurred exactly as…

Everything occurred exactly as promised. Our contact person was David Wiviott out of the Seattle office, and he was very helpful and responsive. I was particularly impressed with how smoothly their process went, from doing the video inventory, to the packing, and shipping. We were transporting some fragile items, and some irreplaceable art. It will be some time before we unpack it all, but everything we have unpacked (which includes all the furniture and many art items) arrived intact, and we have been impressed with how carefully they repacked it. They coordinated our delivery to Panama with a trucking company out of Panama City, and that end of things worked smoothly as well. This operation was handled very professionally and we are extremely satisfied with how it all went.

A few days before our container was loaded, Don discovered that our originally assigned local origin agent was potentially facing bankruptcy. Rather than stay quiet and hope for the best, he immediately flagged it, switched us to a better local company, and absorbed the price difference himself to keep our original quote intact. That kind of proactive honesty is rare in any industry, let alone moving. Throughout the entire process Don was responsive, transparent, and genuinely invested in getting us to the finish line. He answered every question without hesitation and made sure the handoff to our destination agent in Greece was seamless. Great Overseas Move

We used Rainier Overseas Movers for our move from Washington, DC to London. Both in DC and then again in London, we found the whole process well-organized and efficient. All of our stuff--furniture, kitchen wear, clothes--came unharmed and in easily identifiable boxes. Rainier packed and unpacked all the boxes, making packing very easy. Communication was constant and questions answered. The whole process, from departure to arrival took just over 6 weeks. I cannot recommend Rainier highly enough.

I used Rainier Overseas Movers to ship over 2,000 pounds of personal belongings halfway around the world, and I honestly could not be more impressed. Shortly after my initial inquiry, I was contacted by Don Arroyo, who guided me through the entire process from start to finish. Don took the time to clearly explain what was required, what documents I needed, and how everything would work to ensure a smooth and successful move. What truly stood out was his responsiveness — every single question I had was answered quickly and thoroughly. In an age where you expect delays and silence, Don was consistently prompt, helpful, and reassuring. On collection day, the crew arrived and packed everything quickly, carefully, and professionally, creating a detailed inventory that I was able to submit to HMRC, allowing me to avoid paying import duty. This, too, had been clearly explained in advance by Don, which made what could have been a stressful process feel straightforward and manageable. Throughout the shipment, I was kept informed of progress and expected delivery dates. While there were a couple of minor delays (which are understandable given the scale of an international move), I was genuinely blown away by how quickly my belongings ultimately arrived. On delivery day, Christopher (and another team member whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch) arrived and unloaded everything into my ground-floor storage in under 30 minutes. Once again, they were professional, efficient, and extremely helpful. To say that I am thrilled is a massive understatement. Given the sheer logistics of shipping household goods across the planet, I am genuinely astounded by how smoothly everything went, how well I was taken care of, and the fact that everything arrived intact. Fantastic experience

Moving 8000 miles from home was a scary endeavour. Don and his team at Rainier made this component a dream. Super communication, very transparent, no surprises or drama. With this being our first international move, I had so many (likely dumb) questions and they were so helpful and patient with me and my panic. I will say that there were less expensive options, but paying a little bit more for a personal, almost bespoke experience was well worth it. I can't thank them enough!

Small Groupage from the US to Italy

Rainier recently managed a small groupage from the US to Italy and all the people I had contact with were very helpful and friendly. All went well except for the actual delivery that had the minor inconvenience of the movers arriving unannounced in spite of having been asked to call when they had an ETA. Not a big deal, as we happened to be home but it could have been an issue if we had been out on errands. I don't blame Rainier but that was a bit of a mark on an otherwise fine shipment.
