I tried this on my Mediaplayer after accidentally deleting a whole folder. Does a good job recovering recently deleted or corrupted files, but don't expect miracles if you have continued using a drive before trying to recover. Older media files were sometimes recognized by title but when recovering it turned out to be a different file altogether. Nevertheless, Recoverit works well on recently deleted or corrupted partitions.

Recoverit did restore the files to another external drive, but the "recovered" video files do not want to play back. Windowes Media player states the following mesdsage: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.", whilst the Film & TV App states" This file isn’t playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt". VLC is not responding at all. What can I do the fix this.

Recovered my photos and documents. Overall wondershare Recoverit was able to recover most of my data from a hdd. User friendly and easier to use.

Works simply and cleanly - managed to find some long-lost photos from five years ago. 100 free MB (can be only 26 photos) and then quite expensive but would be worth it for recovering more memories..

Deleting important data from a hard drive by accident is a nightmare. When it happened to me, it literally took my breath away from being so anxious. Luckily, a quick Google search revealed Wondershare Recoverit. I downloaded it and ran it immediately and luckily was able to recover my lost data. I definitely recommend it if you ever accidentally delete data. It's worth a try for sure.

I lost the contents of a USB stick that contained numerous work files that were not yet delivered. I bought Recoverit because it could locate the files but the end result was something similar to 'file corrupted, cannot be recovered'. I contacted them and they offered support. But at the end, since we could not get the files, they offered to exchange the product I bought to another one from their catalogue. So not the service I needed, but still a good experience.
I work on the road and take car photos at dealership and when I got home at night all my photos were gone from my card. I taught I lost a whole day of work and a lot of money. This software recovered 99% of my lost photos and I was able to upload my photos online, with just a little delay ;)

I deleted my camera card by mistake. I had 2,500 pictures on it and I had very few of them printed. So I looked on line what to do and this web site popped up. It was easy to use and I got most of my pics back. I never got them all but some is better than none. It was worth the effort.

I had a Virus. Perhabs that broke many of my files. But I have a lot stuff now that appears to be files, but can not open and are just empty slots filling up the hard drive. So Recoverit did not do the job for me. Easy interface though.

It did work.I was looking for ‘lost data’. But turned out that I was looking at wrong SD card. But it did retrieve the video clips from the camcorder I had erased before.

I took several thousand images at a recent airshow and the SD card in my camera stopped working - wouldn't read, would only accept re-formatting. Tried the Windows 10 tools with no luck. Tried several free online tools, none of which could recognize the card. Purchased Recoverit after the free version was able to see the card and the images on it .. purchased version recovered all the images, including several that were scrambled. Whew - it was a lifesaver!

I got the paid version but unfortunately it was unable to retrieve accidently deleted video folder, I tried all the methods but no luck. It's good for photos and other files but not at all it could retrieve deleted mov files. The retrieved files recovered were corrupted or not supported format. So try before you spend money.

As a photographer recoverit come in handy when I sd and cf cards fail after years of use I was able to recover a photos with the program on one occasion. Every other time I used the program it would say files were recovered but there was nothing there.
