Reliable CAD to MAD Transfers, But Rates Could Be Improved %% %%
Remitly provides excellent and reliable service. However I expect them to offer better currency exchange rates in the future to truly compete.
Cheap and Easy to Use, but the Delivery Estimate Was Meaningless.
Remitly was cheaper than the other transfer options I considered, and the app itself was relatively simple to use. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended. Once the transfer was submitted, Remitly indicated that the funds would arrive within three hours. More than six hours later, the money had still not been received, with no meaningful explanation for the delay. The customer-service experience was equally disappointing. As the recipient—the person directly affected by the missing funds—I contacted support for assistance, only to be told that they would provide very little information unless the sender contacted them. While I understand the need for security, refusing to meaningfully assist the recipient leaves the affected person with no answers and no control over the situation. A delivery estimate should be more than a convenient marketing promise. If Remitly cannot meet the stated timeline, it should provide clear updates, realistic expectations and better support to everyone involved in the transaction. The service may be inexpensive, but the delay and lack of transparency made the overall experience unnecessarily frustrating.
