What people say

I haven’t had any real liquor for more…

I haven’t had any real liquor for more than 30 years because of my intolerance of alcohol drink. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this Ritual Zero Proof tequila is in my opinion. This thing makes great Margarita. My wife and I enjoy it very much. This is my second bottle.

Delicious! Especially if You are a Fan of Botanical Forward Gins

Delicious! Makes it very easy to trade alcohol calories for excellent flavor. I enjoy it with a splash of a good lite tonic. It's a great way to end the evening. If you like gins with a strong botanical profile then you'll enjoy the flavors in this heady, aromatic substitute.

Does not taste like gin

Does not taste like gin. I've had a lot of gins over the years, keeping 3-4 of my favorites in my liquor cabinet and regularly trying new brands and styles. I typically have a G&T and/or gin cocktail most evenings Spring through Fall, and consider myself familiar with the range. To me this 'gin alternative' has a taste of toothpaste and jalapeno. After trying Ritual's 'gin alternative' three different ways, I cannot think of an occasion where I would want a gin and would chose Ritual's 'gin alternative'. I've gifted the rest of my bottle to a friend who likes a challenge -- we'll see what they can make of it.

Gift card process seemed clunky.

It was really easy to purchase a gift card for my friend who loves Ritual Zero Proof, but I never saw an option for putting her email address in the order so that she was the one who received the details about the gift. Instead, I forwarded her the email I received.

Alcoholism Averted

It arrived quickly and well-packaged. Obviously it’s not tequila, but when used to make a margarita, my “blind”-taster’s comment was that it tasted “smokey”. When I made a real margarita, but substituted 1/3 of the real tequila for the Ritual tequila, I couldn’t tell the difference.

The whiskey alternative is horrendous…

The whiskey alternative is horrendous and more so a Scotch alternative than a bourbon alternative. Super smokey on the noise, SWEET, and horrendously spicy for no apparent reason other than to emulate the alcohol burn. The tequila is a slightly better representation but also way too peppery on the finish. I asked my husband if he added jalepeno to my margarita. It's THAT spicy. I'm dreading the gin because gin is my favorite spirit. I just don't think I can stomach it if it's anything like the whiskey.

Close, but no whiskey

First off, ordering, shipping and all of that was great. I ordered the sample pack and all bottles arrived in perfect condition (which can be touch or go with shipping glass!). As for the taste of the different liquor substitutes... They were alright -- they're CLOSE to the original, but there is definitely a difference. The blend of spices and herbs is really heavy up front on the nose and palate. And for the whiskey at least it's spicy, in like, a lot of spices, but also a little spicy spicy (which isn't great if your preggers and having nausea/heartburn issues... like me). All in all, it'll be great for those "in a pinch" times when I want to feel like I'm having a drink, but not something I'll go to regularly. It is nice to have an option though!

I love your tequila so much

I love your tequila so much. I’ll say I make my husband only put 1 oz. in my margarita because it’s a little too spicy for me with 2 ozs. I haven’t had a chance to try the whisky I just got but I’m looking forward to trying it.
