SDC International Shipping has been absolutely wonderful to work with. Every person I spoke with was friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. They took the time to explain all of my options, what each step of the process looked like, and what to expect along the way. Moving internationally can feel overwhelming, but they made it simple and clear. I never felt rushed, and every question I had was answered with real care. It’s rare to find a company where the staff makes you feel supported from the very first call, but SDC does exactly that. Highly recommended.
Awful communication. Unclear instructions about what was expected from us. They also take days to respond at the critical moments. All throughout the process they just try to reassure that everything will be fine. Then on the day of the move the shipping container doesn't show up on time. Then they are upset that demands aren't met, even though we had told them about it before hand.
We had a bit of an unusual move going from the Bay Area to the UK with a fair amount to ship and none of it being furniture. We were moving a substantial amount of artwork and musical equipment including lots of guitars and amplifiers. This also included the logistics of packing up an office first and then a household. Because of the items involved I elected to pack it all myself. Obtaining the boxes, packing materials including humidity controlled pack inserts was an extensive and stressful process. This kind of sets the stage as I could have let SDC pack it all but simply chose otherwise. SDC was very helpful and sent a great crew which had to open and reclose all the boxes for insurance purposes. They did have their own box labeling system which paralleled our own. They kept us up to date on our shipment. They helped us deal with our concerns about the UK TOR system which was confusing to deal with. On the destination end they worked with the Eurogroup who were very efficient and ultimately delivered every last box to our UK storage facility. Phone and email support of their service was really good from the beginning to the final delivery. I’m glad I picked them, best moving decision I have ever made.

The guys phoned ahead so we knew when they were arriving. They were professional and courteous and took care of our furniture and boxes well. Hope they are treated as well at the other end!

I love this company. They’re competitive with their prices, but more than that. They are the kindest people they really care. They’re always available to talk to you to answer any of your questions to help you through anything you need and they’re always joyful happy and kind. I just love them.
In my opinion, my shipment was overpriced. In the end, I felt like they take advantage of people who only need half a container. I wish I had left more things behind and just mailed a few boxes. They always stated the shipment would take 6 weeks. It took ~5 months.. we needed to buy a lot of winter clothes which was such a headache knowing our boxes had a lot of winter clothes. Very expensive and you get different information from one person to another.

I hired SDC on April 13, 2026 to pickup 1 bedroom furniture from storage in NYC and deliver to South Shore Nova Scotia by June 2nd, 2026. Once I signed the contract I started getting jerked around by different logistics handlers and was told the truck is dedicated, the truck is shared, the pickup date is mid April then May 12/13 then May 19/20 then May 25th then June 3rd. No delivery timeframes or dates were given, no information on customs, inventory list, etc. I gave up and had a house with no furniture and no communication so planned to fly back to US and suddenly got a call and was told to meet them at Halifax customs and get my shipment. I had to re-arrange my travel more than once and my work schedule (I was delighted my goods finally showed up) but I can not recommend anyone use this company. Once you sign the contract you basically get what you get if you get it when they feel like it. It also cost alot!! for less than 500 cf one bedroom. In the end the move was done I got my furniture end of.
I found SDC through several searches, comparing videos and reviews among multiple recommended moving companies. After a phone call reviewing the quote, I decided to choose this company for our move from Wisconsin to the Philippines. I should preface this with, I chose to only pack boxes and no furniture, but we did pack delicate things like china and many dishes and wine glasses. The boxes were picked up Feb and arrived in mid May, they did well communicating the unforseen delays as a result of the global transportation logistics (expected because of the rapid rise of gas prices at the time). The delivery time doubled, and communicated well in advance. All of this to say, even with the delay, None of our items arrived damaged. Everything was intact and I was very grateful. The communication by all members of the company were kind and cordial and the moving companies they worked with internationally were also amazing. This company had such good communication which made my anxiety go down a lot. Highly recommend this company for moving services.

SDC International is a very professional, up-front, and skilled organization. They had answers for all my questions about how to get my stuff from L.A. to the UK...and how to do so without killing myself packing! They got a me quote quickly, sent a speedy team of packers to box up everything I couldn't do on my own, and provided my invoice quickly. Such a relief to have this part of a BIG life change done and dusted!
