My sons love the games & videos.
I like how the lessons are repeated until the child has grasped the concept; and the variety of lessons for a variety of ages..
I was surprised how much my sons enjoyed writing stories on Skoolbo, since they usually hate writing assignments.
The only issue we have: is there is a glitch in one of the Spanish lessons, and it's very difficult to contact Skoolbo to notify them of it.
Customer service was my favorite part of this program. Very quick to respond and extremely helpful and courteous. I LOVED the program but my boys lost interest before the month trial so we cancelled but I would recommend it to others for sure.

Thanks for trying Skoolbo. Skoolbo is designed for children aged 4-10 years and as your boys were right at the upper end of the spectrum it was always going to be difficult to hold their attention for too long!
We are delighted that your children were able to demonstrate mastery of all the key fundamentals of reading, math, and science. You can now move them forward safe in the knowledge that they have a great platform on which to build.
Kindest,
Team Skoolbo
Skool is a lot of fun for students but doesn't allow me to customize the learning quite as much as I would like. My students love it and it is free so I have nothing to complain about.

Great to hear that your students love the product. Always keen to find out how we can enable you to tailor the learning further still.
We already incorporate the ability for you to set tasks that they do at class or at home. Please drop us your ideas via [email protected]

My students liked the previous format where they were challenging students around the world better than the new format.

Really appreciate it. Have they tried the app version - the racing games are still present, they can still race children from other places.
Keen to find out what functionality like they like in the new version. Other teachers have told us that reading blitz, my writing has become really popular.

Freezes too often -- about to stop using it altogether
While I like the idea of Skoolbo and the program in general, it has almost become impossible for my class to use. Each time they log in it isn't long before it freezes up on them and no amount of refreshing or logging back in will fix it. Very frustrating. It is not our system as the kids can immediately go to any number of other sites and have no problem. We are about to quit using it altogether. I have quit suggesting it to other teachers and parents.

Sorry to hear that you having a problem. Please don't leave! Can you email us on [email protected] so we can clear the problem?
Sometimes even the slightest change in a school network can inadvertently throw us off balance. We put a lot of time developing the web version as a complementary product to the apps so that schools would always have an option. We look forward to hearing from you.

We love Skoolbo! Wonderful practice for my students, they love it, too. Still some technical glitches, but a wonderful program

Skoolbo offers engaging activities and provides helpful analytics. Students love to work independently in the program. One request I often receive from students is that they would love to be able to challenge specific students in their class or school. School-wide leader boards are popular with students too.

Thanks Martha,
Students able to work independently on the platform is critical to our design so we are so pleased to hear that is really working for your class. We did have functionality where children challenged each other but it never really took off so we removed the feature. We love leaderboards internally so will look at how best to bring back that competition format.

We are delighted that your girls love Skoolbo! We work really hard to provide an amazing learning experience for 3-10-year-olds and your family almost covers that entire amazing age range. Please keep recommending!

The main reason I am giving 2 stars is because my students are not able to play on the app due to not able to update to the new app. It won't let my students play at all on the old version. I am disappointed. Even when they could log into the old version, it took forever to connect and most of my kids couldn't play anyway.

Thanks MG,
Really sorry to hear that your class haven't been playing in awhile. Have you tried the webversion (same logins) for quick and easy access. We want to help so please reach out on [email protected] and let's help you get back in the saddle.

My classroom ipads cannot load the new version and for some reason I cannot access my teacher account. I miss the old version, my class hasn't been able to play in months.

I love the fact that my students, who are special needs, are able to work on a variety of skills and levels in this program.

Thanks Suzanne,
We are delighted to hear that. Some of the best feedback we get is from teachers who work directly with special needs students.
You can just hear the difference it has made to their classes. It is simply fantastic and makes all the hard work very worthwhile.
Thanks so much for sharing this. Have a wonderful learning packed 2018!

I love this program. It would be neat to see a version for 7-12 grades.

It is really good to hear! Our mission is to help millions of children across the world grasp the fundamentals of literacy, numeracy, science, music, and art. We are focused on 3-10-year-olds because that is the way we can make the biggest difference! Please keep recommending!

I really liked the old version and so did my students. We can't use the new version on our ipads and when the students are on the web version, they just click around all over the place. There isn't the structured progression like there was on the old version. I'm disappointed.
It freezes up on the students. Sometimes the middle challenges are not downloading so the students can’t complete it and they don’t get their snazzlimals.
The changes were not good. Previous versions were great.
No, it is not free and the new modules are not so interesting. The voice of the Cup is so tricky that even little children don't like it.
Avatar is not so interactive and that was one of the mosts in previous versions.
As teacher I am not using it any longer. As father, my daughters were always waiting to play a year ago. No, I have to remind them this app and they always have an excuse. I also feel that it doesn't adapt to the level, specially for Pre K.
I am very happy to be able to offer a free educational tool for my classroom of students. They are very interested in the graphics, topics, and selections offered in within the Skoolbo app. I have 5 students per day working on Skoolbo. Thank you for offering great educational options to our school!
