The cabin is beautiful and in a perfect location. It was extremely clean and had most of the things we needed. The kitchen could use a few more knives, spoons for cereal, a smaller skillet and a muffin tin. The outdoor garbage cans could also have more secure lids because animals got into them two different nights. The yard is amazing for the children to run and play but we never located the corn hole game. The staff was excellent and when we had a couple of issues they sent help quickly. I would return and recommend it to families especially.

Our goal was to provide a wonderful fishing experience for our 90 year old and her friend, who love to fish, and fish they did.
However, the initially reserved located was under construction, which we determined upon arrival.
The support person was very helpful in getting us to another (upgraded) place.
The new place was further from the lake, and the outdoor sitting spaces required a good amount of time to clean for use. The chairs and tables were full of pollen. We live in GA and understand the buildup of pollen, but this place was not fully occupancy ready. There is mention of a game room and apt. I was not clear that the game room is the garage and the apt is the bedroom above the garage. There is no wifi in the living space above the garage. All of this did not deter us from enjoying this beautiful home, the fishing from the dock, and the peace of the area. While one could say that the upgrade was sufficient compensation for the inconvenience, I would have to disagree. Who we are demanded that we enjoy the time and that WE DID. Regards, Orlando Price

The cabin was very nice
The cabin was very nice. However, we were promised as returning guests and because of a horrible smell of mold in the cabin the we stayed in 2025 Hello Sunrise that we would be given an early arrival and receive a late checkout at 12 noon if we booked a cabin again through Southern Comfort. However, on the day of check out, the cleaning crew came to the cabin around 10:30 am stating that we needed to be checked out by 10 am. I explained that Southern Comfort, manager Jeana upon booking Alpine Vista guaranteed a late checkout. The cleaning ladies called the office, then two men came and entered the cabin and rudely demanded that we leave. We were all appalled and prepared to leave. Southern Comfort should have advise the cleaning crew along with the entire staff of the agreement that the Southern Comfort manager, Jeana made with me, which she put in writing.

However, after reviewing our records, our team contacted you on May 12 to let you know that, due to scheduling requirements for incoming guests, we would not be able to accommodate the late checkout for this stay.
That said, we regret any frustration surrounding the departure process. Our records indicate that checkout time had passed when our team arrived to prepare the home for incoming guests. While our staff was attempting to ensure the property was ready for the next arrival, we never want any guest to feel rushed or uncomfortable, and we are sorry that the interaction left you feeling otherwise.
We appreciate your loyalty as a returning guest and your willingness to stay with us again following the concerns you experienced during a previous visit. Your feedback is valuable, and we will continue working to improve communication and coordination between our office and field teams to provide the best possible guest experience.

This cabin was perfect for our group
This cabin was perfect for our group and exceeded our expectations. The spacious layout gave everyone plenty of room to relax comfortably, and the upstairs sleeping areas accommodated our large group very well. The game room and outdoor activities, especially the Frisbee golf course, made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a beautiful property and we would absolutely stay here again.

Our group of 12 ladies stayed at this lodge for a couple of days of golf, and it exceeded every expectation. There was plenty of room for us to spread out without ever feeling crowded. The kitchen was fully equipped...even though we didn't cook. It was so nice to have everything available. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after golf. Every single person commented on how comfortable the beds and pillows were. Truly fabulous place for group outing or family get together.

House was very clean and comfortable
House was very clean and comfortable, including the beds. We had an issue with the fireplace but someone walked us through it via telephone. The only two suggestions - please, please purchase better pillows. Every guest had an issue with them. They were flat and uncomfortable and for such a nice place you could step it up. Also, the bunk beds down stairs are not completely useable. They are set up in a way that would make sleeping very uncomfortable if not impossible. Please replace with bunk beds that a human could actually sleep on

Im consistently pleased with the cabins…
Im consistently pleased with the cabins that Southern Comfort offers for rent. The office staff are top notch, they respond back in a very timely manner if I've ever needed them.
