Great experience with consultant Danielle Early!

Samantha Parker, Sam Parker, was exceptional to work with throughout my application process. From our first few conversations, she took a lot of time to deeply understand all of my background, experiences, and goals. Based on my experiences, she presented a number of highly strategic options for how to approach and frame my narrative and thinking about how best to approach the specific things that admissions officers look for. Thanks to her, I received an acceptance to my top choice law school, Harvard Law!
Hiring a consultant is a difficult decision to make, and is one that you should reflect carefully on based on your personal needs and goals. However, as someone who has shopped/looked around the market, I believe that if you are looking for one, Sam Parker is where you should go.
She combed through my materials and caught nuances and angles I'd completely missed. Her feedback was fantastic and drew on her rare and specialized expertise as a former HLS admissions officer, which gave me a genuine edge when it came to top law school admissions.
Beyond the quality of her guidance, she is very kind and personable. Working with her was refreshing for me in that she struck a great balance between warm, natural conversation and efficiently establishing clear goals for each session. I would also receive thoughtful and substantive edits within a day or two and she was always available when I had questions. That responsiveness made the whole experience feel much less stressful.
Definitely do your research, but for me, Sam was a standout.

Sam Parker is Amazing!
Throughout the law school admissions process, you need a friend -- a friend who is sharp, kind, understanding, and most importantly, honest. Sam Parker is the best friend for which I could have asked throughout my law school admissions cycle.
From our first conversation to my final deposit decision (including even waitlist deliberations), she was an outstanding guide every step of the way. Her attention to detail is exceptional; every essay and application received thoughtful feedback, and she consistently found ways to strengthen my materials. Her turnaround time with edits was fast but thoughtful. I always felt confident in the value she added to my narrative.
I truly appreciate how Sam gives clear, honest advice. She is straightforward about what works and what does not, and I knew I could trust her judgment. Hiring Sam Parker was, hands down, the best decision I made as a transfer applicant to law school. Her shrewd wisdom, candor, and thoughtfulness carried me in the application process, and I attribute much of my success to her guidance. Despite being below some medians, I gained interest from many top schools, and I even secured an acceptance into Penn Carey Law, Columbia Law, and Harvard Law as a transfer applicant!
I was also very impressed by the knowledge Sam has about the application process and what schools are actually looking for, and her insight is exceptional. This helped me put my best foot forward and approach my application strategically.
For my essays, Sam helped me every step of the way. She helped me brainstorm and edit my essays, with attention to detail, and I believe her edits made a huge difference. She introduced ideas I never thought about, and I appreciated her directness when telling me what works and what doesn't.
Applying to schools can be an isolating experience, especially as a first generation law student, but Sam made me feel supported and confident throughout this daunting process. If you have a chance to work with Sam, do not pass up the opportunity!

Going into the law school application process, I did not have a full understanding of the level of nuance involved. I am so glad that I chose to work with Spivey Consulting, and specifically, Julia Truemper. Julia is so thoughtful and prompt. For me, as someone who absolutely hates talking about themselves, writing a personal statement is practically physically painful, and it really helped to have someone to give honest feedback and encouragement along the way. Having someone who could also speak personally to the application process was invaluable for my peace of mind through what ended up being a longer and more convoluted process than I initially anticipated. I remember Julia assuring me that "waitlist admissions do happen!" and, like most things, she was 100% right- I am now headed to my dream school in the fall, with a scholarship that I definitely didn't anticipate. I worked with Julia Truemper this past cycle, and she was so helpful throughout the entire application process. Working with Spivey and Rodia Vance was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions I made during my law school application process. Starting with our very first call, Rodia patiently took the time to get to know me, my story, and my goals. Sub 2.5 GULC A bc of Spivey
I have a story and stats that make admissions complicated: an old GPA under 2.5, a very unusual background, and a story that was strong but hard to organize. They helped me turn all of that into an application that actually made sense.
Mike helped me personally, which says a lot about the kind of person he is and the kind of culture he has built. I worked with Mike, Paul, and Anna, who kept it extremely real. They took my application seriously, pushed me where I needed to be pushed, and helped me see what was actually compelling in my own story.
Anna was wonderful throughout the process. She was kind, calm, and thoughtful at moments when this whole thing felt pretty brutal. Also, Paul Rollins is amazing. If you can choose him, choose him. He is direct, smart, and really good at helping you sound like the best version of yourself instead of some polished admissions robot.
I ended up getting into Georgetown Law with an old sub-2.5 GPA. That is still pretty hard for me to believe. Spivey made this possible, and I'm beyond thankful.
