We do not charge any fees and are funded entirely by the voluntary generosity of donors and organizers through optional tips, which allows the platform to remain free for folks like yourself.
The fees you mentioned are actually processing fees charged by payment processors. Credit card processors will always deduce the standard 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction. These fees are deducted before the funds reach us - we then distribute the entirety of the funds raised to the campaign organizer/beneficiary.
These fees are laid out on the top of our homepage and also during the bank linking process.
Kindly note that credit/debit card processing fees are an unavoidable reality when processing payments online and are present across all fundraising platforms worldwide. It is important to note you are not losing out on funds you would have been able to receive elsewhere.

I would highly recommend using spotfund! Very easy to set up, great reminders, and even better tips to help you collect all the money! Then when I had some difficultly, customer service did an amazing job helping me figure it out!
I love how I can easily share and see it inc edit happens but the sharing to Facebook took a little longer and the percentage taken out is kind of high knowing we need a large amount for our fathers funeral
What a positive help this was, in a very difficult time. Family needed help and it was given. Thanks Spotfund. You really helped a Family in need.
