Once I started writing

Once I started writing, I couldn't stop. It was cathartic. I recommend it to everybody. I'm so glad my sons put me up for it.

Being young and growing old.

I am 84, and this book allows me to review the life I have lived and share it with my sons. There are so many experiences that are left unsaid. I hope it gives them a chance to see my life, then and now, through a different lens.

As i put in my dedication in my book to my son Ryan and his wife Katie I was thankful that were interested in knowing more about my life. In addition the book allowed me to leave a legacy for my grandchildren Mackenzie and Henry. It was also cathartic writing while I was going through a divorce during this period. My daughter in law provided thoughtful and insightful questions. Thank you.

I find your questions, which you say my daughter made, are not hers, but yours. Why do that?? I also find some of the questions superficial and shallow.

This was a gift from my son to celebrate a milestone birthday of mine. I am not quite half way through, but I truly have enjoyed responding to the weekly questions! It has been thought provoking, and has brought back so many wonderful memories of mine. The final product for my family will take them on many of my life journeys and life experiences which I have had the good fortune to take or make.

I received this subscription as a gift

I received this subscription as a gift. I've never kept a diary, so the thought of writing a book was daunting. But this was an outstanding experience. I will say that even though it is setup as a one per week prompt. That was too hard for me to keep up with, so I extended the subscription for a second year so I would have the time to write meaningful stories about the topics my daughter was asking about. It was worthwhile. A very rewarding experience for me, and a book of my life for my children to have.

I have not seen the final product

I have not seen the final product; however getting me the questions was always helpful and encouraging me to do the work is outstanding. I wish I had more time to go over the questions as they came quickly; however it was a joy to do the work.

My Memories

I have enjoyed the memories that your questions evoked. They have led me to look up old photos and family trees. I have also enjoyed the challenge of writing these memories into stories, which, I hope will be interesting for those reading it.
