Brett did an outstanding job representing me with the IRS
Brett was extremely helpful in representing me through the tax audit. He was professional, knowledgeable, very responsive and helped me immensely in reducing the amount of taxes owed. I was able to verify the expenses and provide receipts for my Sch C1 and Sch C2 expenses, along with work mileage and travel expenses. I am so glad I paid the extra, through Turbo Tax, for the audit defense.

Auditor got switched and had to start over
I worked with a specialist and provided all the documentation, then I got a message he was no longer working. I was assigned a new person a couple days later and at that point decided to just handle it myself.

My first time ever having to really use the service I was really not quite sure how it was gonna go panicked and paid upfront and your service was able to get me my money back and prove that the IRS was wrong which was really cool

Friendliest Tax Audit Ever
I thought being audited by the Dept of Revenue would be a horrible experience, but working with the TaxAudit team was actually enjoyable. My TaxAudit rep was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, patient, and friendly. Instead of having to deal with the stress of an audit, I feel like I made a new friend who also happens to be a tax expert and took care of everything!

Communication problems
Correspondence was fairly quick and they did offer assistance with my issue. The main problem is the people they have working there don't speak English. The last thing I need is someone helping me that I can't understand. To be fair I must say they were polite and professional (from what I could understand). I was actually able to handle my issue myself with the IRS. In hindsight I seriously doubt I will purchase this coverage again.

While we employ many individuals for whom English is not their first language, we assure you that all our employees are fluent in English and capable of handling the tax matters we see. Since your review is anonymous, we requested additional information from you so we could review your specific case and address any additional concerns. However, you did not respond. Thus, we wanted to clarify that the IRS sends multiple types of inquiries regarding tax returns. For example, they could request additional information to process your original tax return, such as a physical copy of the W-2 or Form 1099-B that you received. A processing notice is not technically an audit, but sometimes they just need to see the source document to confirm the amounts agree with what they have on record, or because the W2 may not have been fully processed in the IRS database yet. Other notices can be more complex and require either additional supporting documentation or a complete review of the relevant tax code. No matter the reason for the notice, all of our TaxAudit employees strive to provide professional, polite service, as you noted. ~TaxAudit Team
