One of my mosquito trap cups had a hairline crack in the bottom which I didn't notice until I went to empty it and there was no liquid, just an inch of stinky bugs. Tougher Than Tom replaced the cup and it's back out trapping all kinds of flying insects. Great customer service!

The product simply does not work. I emailed and got troubleshooting suggestions, followed the tips to the letter. I placed 16 jars around my yard. We could see literal swarms of mosquitoes any given day, but found a total of about 10 dead ones in the traps after 2 weeks. We have millions of mosquitoes and these did absolutely nothing to solve the problem.

I can’t say that these work although I really wanted them to. The liquid evaporates within a week in our hot Texas summers so they are basically useless. Filled them about 14 days ago and they have about a half inch of fluid in left in them and absolutely NO Bugs. Don’t waste your money .

We’re sorry to hear Mosquito TNT didn’t perform as expected. Texas summers do not play around, and evaporation can definitely happen faster in very hot or windy conditions.
If there’s only about half an inch of liquid left after 14 days, the bait may have dried down too much to keep working properly. We recommend topping the jars off with water as needed to keep the liquid level just below the funnel ears, and placing them in shaded, damp areas away from direct sun.

This product did not work
This product did not work. Despite following all the directions to the T, there was not a single mosquito in the trap after 3 weeks time...and we have plenty of mosquitoes in Savannah, GA. The company did try to rectify the problem (going over the instructions several times), but as mentioned before, every direction was carefully followed. The company was great in refunding my money, but I did have to repackage the product to be sent back and pay for the return shipping. A return label would have been appreciated.

These dont work at all. Dont waste your money. Mine have been out for 2 week and have caught nothing. Not to mention. I order a 6 month supply and didnt even receive enough for 6 month. Stay away from this product.

Does not work
Does not work. I have been using for 60 days with zero reduction in mosquitoes. The only thing these have managed to do is ruin the finish on my patio table when the wind blew & spilled some of it, attract squirrels who have painted my deck with it, and catch bees and other bycatch insects. I wasn't even going to review, but being as I got 4 mosquito bites in under a minute yesterday sitting less than 6 feet away from the thing, I'm fed up & disappointed and decided to leave my thoughts. I bought enough for a whole summer. :( Don't waste your money.

I wanted this to catch mosquitos and decrease the mosquito population. Instead the container is filling up with flies. I have tried it for 2 months amd even bought replenishment thinking I did not have enough. But it keeps attacking flies and overfilling the containers. I would like a refund. Do not buy this product

We were hopeful that setting up the four little jars of Tougher Than Tom's bait juice was going to make our yard mosquito free! Unfortunately, they didn't work at all. The proof is in the jars. We just took them down and each one of them is filled with flies, mostly, along with probably a few other gnats and other bugs. But no mosquitoes. What's worse is that with all the dead, decaying fly carcasses collected, it attracted live flights to come in and feed on the others. And then, to top it all off, I saw white larvae in the mix, which means these little jars attracted flies to come and lay their eggs in there. It's disgusting. And the fact that it's disgusting isn't why I'm rating this so low - if it were full of mosquitos, it would probably be somewhat disgusting as well and I wouldn't mind that. But, I did not expect it to be full of flies. Ugh. Their website lists hassle free refunds and 100% guaranteed. Then again, their refund policy requires you to ask for a refund within 30 days, even though in order for the full effect of the product to take place, it's supposed to last for 30 days. And they require you to ship back the product at your own cost. That doesn't sound like a 100% guarantee. Just words. I'm hoping to get a refund from the company, but from other reviews I've read, this will probably prove to be difficult. Seeing how terribly this product performed leads me to believe the company knows it does not work and continues to take people's money. That's not cool.

NO MOSQUITOES IN THE TRAP
I followed instructions carefully, after a month using 4 traps in the corners of my yard and restarting the traps 3 times with fresh bait, I have never observed a mosquito in any of the traps even at the time of recharging the solution. None of the comments state they have seen mosquitoes in the solution in the trap. They only state that the trap must be working, but never a mention of observed dead mosquitoes in the trap? How can this happen if no dead mosquitoes in the trap solution? I ordered a dozen of your traps to give away as gifts to my friends. No one has observed any mosquitos in their trap solutions, many other types of insects killed by the traps, moths, wasps etc., no mosquitoes? I threw mine away after seeing the type of insects killed and still having similar mosquito problem as usual here in Payson AZ. I figured your refund policy was as valid as your product so why frustrate myself any further than I already have, besides making me look foolish with my family and friends I gave them to. I'm one who never gives reviews unless they are rave reviews about how pleased I am with a product or service. I just had to say something so I could let it go. I see your commercial on youtube and it reminds me of what a disappointment the whole experience was with your product. By the way, your support team explanations don't sound very scientific to your poor dissatisfied customers, sounds more like placating them about any product that is probably known to not work. I placed 4 of the traps out. Over a 2 week time span only 1 had 1 single mosquito. Mostly flies and bees. Then when I asked for a refund and send back my unused product they expect me to pay the shipping cost. Thats not 100% money back guarantee in my opinion. Don't waste you money folks.

Peace in the Garden!
We put out the Tougher Than Tom mosquito traps on June 26, 2026 and today, July 2, 2026 I was able to walk, water, and work in the backyard WITHOUT A SINGLE MOSQUITO BITE!!!
