Repeat Customer and Always the Best of…
Repeat Customer and Always the Best of the Best! Beautiful Black & White Photographs on Real Black & White Peper, the images are consistently as perfect as can be, Many Thanks as Always!!!
Very Satisfied with True Black & White processing
As always, your quality is A+ and the processing and delivery is super fast. Thank you.
Great picture
The enlargements were dark, and whites were not white
The enlargements were dark, and murky, and not at all like the images on screen. In particular, the whites were dark, and not bright white. While I know that there is some loss of dynamic range when going from screen to images, this was awful.

Sorry to hear this. Unfortunately we cannot match prints to YOUR monitor. We print from a calibrated monitor so we are seeing what the image really is. First, calibrate your monitor. We adjust the print to what we think looks best to most people, unless you told us not to adjust anything. We guarantee our work, so please send the print back with your instructions, your name from the order, and the Print Order Number. We will take another shot at it and if that still isn't exceptable, we will refund your purchase. Please take a minute and read some of our 306 reviews. John
Great service
Great results! Better than just using a filter!
I sent some vacation pictures here for printing, as I wanted a dramatic, classic effect. This came out much better than applying a filter on my phone and having it printed elsewhere. No regrets!
great service
great service, on time delivery, very professional and quality print
Great looking print!
color digital to Black & white
Happy; uploading easy, I was worried about converting a digital color image to B&W print but they did an excellent job, as good as when i used to shoot with 35mm B&W film. Paper, resolution, contrasts, all 1st class.
I like the speed of the process.
I like the speed of the process. I was hoping you offer more variety in sizes and paper choices.
True black and white
Started process online and next day has a beautiful print
Excellent prints… better communication would help
Excellent prints! I only wish your website allowed tracking of the shipping process. Even a simple automated email that the “prints shipped today via ___” would make a difference - so the package doesn’t end up by the front door in the rain. Either way, I will be back!
Easy process
The black and white prints look great
The black and white prints look great - just like I am used to seeing from my old darkroom! ….and reasonably priced as well👍👍
So pleased with my photos
So pleased with my photos. They were all black and white, and came out just as they looked on my screen —pretty much as i would have done it myself in a darkroom. Great quality and fast service.
This Black & White Portrait was a dark & muddy
This Black & White Portrait was a little dark & muddy. It is not crisp like it is on my Mac Book Pro. I am having a series of prints made for a gallery showing. So this was a test.

Thomas, We print B&W to what we think looks best. Everyone has a different opinion when it comes to contrast, density, etc. We guarantee your satisfaction and will reprint any order if you are not happy with it. Unfortunately we cannot see your Mac Book so we cannot match it. Please call or email us with a little more information and we will try again. Thanks, John
Superb Pro Lab
Impressed with Fromex True Black and White—quick delivery and thrilled they offer digital-to-true silver gelatin black-and-white prints—the gold standard process. Inkjet can’t quite compete yet when it comes to the very best quality. It’s great to still have the traditional choice through this superb pro lab.
The print quality was very good
The print quality was very good. I would give 5 stars if you'd off the ability to track when the package was sent out of the lab, when it's expected to arrive and where it is along the way.
Continued excellence!
I have been using Fromex for my B&W prints for several years now, and they always exceed my expectations. Lately I shoot most of my B&W on Ilford film, and send the scans to Fromex. The silver halide true B&W prints I receive via the USPS are gorgeous; exactly what I have come to expect from Fromex. The Ilford Pearl photo paper they use is superb. I have also sent digital files from my DSLR cameras with excellent results. The proprietor of Fromex is a great person, and a pleasure to deal with. I will continue to use Fromex as long as they are in business, or until I am too old to hold a camera!
