Great customer service and products!

Good unit

Great unit. Mounting hardware brackets are cheaply made and Flimsy. The whole unit bounces around on the roof rack even though it’s right to the Gobi rack. The brackets actually bend when it’s bouncing. Also the mounting bolts from the bracket to unit are too short. They send it with locking nuts but the bolts are to short to even engage the lock ring on the nut. Shower is nice though. Just could improve mounting brackets though.

Was very pleased overall with our new rooftop tent, but the mounting hardware is very cheap. Called to report the issue and was told that new hardware (bolts) would be sent out at no charge......still waiting t ok receive those.

Don't get me wrong I love my tent and…

Don't get me wrong I love my tent and happy that I have it. But my customer service experience wasn't the best. I kept receiving emails that my order was being pushed back but offered no explanation. When 8 called i left a message for the procurement dept but never received a response. A little communication to your customer goes a long way. It puts them at ease and improves the customer experience as we all need them to come back. I am hoping that my experience was not common as I would feel bad that I have recommended this company to so many others.

Somewhat satisfied

For the most part I am happy with the tent. The crate that it was shipped in was WAY under built. The UPS delivery man even commented that it was “junk”. Luckily there was no damage to the tent. The “Alpha” applied decals on the outside of the shell are already peeling off after only one week exposed to the weather. Not sure how to correct this problem. Other than that it appears to be well made.

Great until it wasn't. Beware of warranty terms.

I purchased the Trailhead roof top tent back in December 2019 and received it sometime in February 2020. Took it out for about 3-4 camping trips in 2020 and it was great, until it wasn't. I was unpacking it to check it for the 2021 camping season and the tent failed catastrophically. This resulted in me falling off the ladder and the tent falling off the trailer. I immediately contacted customer service. Chris was great to work with after sending pictures of the failures. Unfortunately, the best that they could do is offer me $150 off a replacement Trailhead tent because the one I had purchased only had a year warranty (I was just outside this by a couple months). He also mentioned that sending replacement parts weren't cost effective ($600 for a floor). This is disappointing to say the least. I expected this tent to last longer than a couple months outside of the warranty. A $150 discount is still more than I paid for the original tent. I'll be looking elsewhere for a replacement with hopefully a better warranty. I would suggest anyone looking do the same before purchasing from Tuff Stuff.

Normally I have had a great experience…but

Normally I have had a great experience with Tuff Stuff and I have their Extreme Trailer and many accessories . But when one of my slides broke after one week of ownership , I ordered two replacement slides ( at my cost ). I understood that they were going to take a bit to get here ( China ) but after about 2 months I had to call to have them ship them to me. When arrived , I received 2 ( single sides) not 2 pairs of slides. I called a number of times but since the trailers are now part of Tribe Trailers, I went into a black hole with zero follow up, which is disappointing to say the least .

Just starting into the RTT world

Just starting into the RTT world. We've been avid off-road enthusiasts for 20+ yrs. Our 1st night in the Tuff Stuff Alpha during a torrential thunderstorm was better than expected & we stayed dry. Shipping was as described with no problems. The Alpha RTT is the perfect size for us & our JKU. Roomy & comfortable. Looking forward to our future adventures in the Tuff Stuff Alpha RTT.

bought the tuff stuff alpha love it…

bought the tuff stuff alpha love it only couple of gripes, rivets are loose and brackets do not fit 3.25inch wide bars i have xtrusion bars 3inches and it doesn't fit at all. I ended up spending more money for a security mount since the stock bracket dont fit and I bought alpha security mount that I cant use, other than those 2 issues I'm happy with my tent

Had to wait a couple months for delivery but it was well worth it. Materials and construction of my Alpha II seems to be really solid. Tuff Stuff kept me informed of the status and sent delivery updates when it was on it's way. Excellent service and quality product!

Great Tent! Great Staff!

We were between a few different types of tents.. Condor, Skylux, and Skycamp. We decided on this one because of the size of the mattress, the space for bedding, and price. The price being the most important. The mattress is great, though if you're a side sleeper, it can be pretty stiff.. but that is the case of all RTTs. It does feel much softer than the Skycamp that I tried out. The staff is great to work with, extremely responsive and very helpful when correcting orders. They seem very well organized.
