We’re sorry you are unhappy, but we do want to clarify the situation. We shipped you a healthy, larger tree than expected, which is considered an upgrade in value.
After receiving the order, you stated that you actually needed a 3–4 ft tree. If that was the size needed for your space, that size should have been selected when the order was placed. The tree received was not incorrect or damaged; it was simply larger than what you now want for the area, and a 5-6ft would have been too big as well by you requesting a replacement with a 3-4ft.
Because this was not an error on our part, we are not able to cover return shipping and then also cover shipping again to send a smaller replacement. That would result in multiple shipping charges due to a size preference change after delivery.
The best solution would be to prune the tree down to the size you need. Loquat trees can be shaped and reduced in height, and pruning will allow you to fit it better into your desired space.
Plants appeared to be in good shape and were already blooming

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear your plants arrived in good shape and were already blooming. We truly appreciate your business and hope they continue to establish well.
I was disappointed with my experience and would not order from this company again.
The biggest issue is that there is essentially no true plant warranty. If a plant dies, you must go through a fairly extensive process to prove it wasn't due to something you did. Even after meeting their requirements, they would only offer store credit rather than replacement plants.
The timing of the credit policy was also frustrating. Credits were not issued until after July 1, but the company had already stopped shipping for the season by then. They also would not send replacement plants until the following season, leaving customers with little practical resolution.
Packaging was another major concern. The roots were wrapped extremely tightly in plastic, making removal difficult and potentially stressful for the plants. To make matters worse, all of the plants were bundled together, requiring me to carefully untangle root systems from one another after removing what felt like an excessive amount of plastic wrap.
Overall, my success rate was around 50%, with several plants failing shortly after planting. When I reached out for help, customer service was unhelpful, offered no apology, and took little accountability for the issues.
Based on my experience, I would recommend purchasing from a reputable local nursery or working with a local garden center that can special-order uncommon varieties. You'll likely receive healthier plants, better support, and a much better overall experience.

We’re sorry you were disappointed, but we do want to clarify several important details for future readers.
We do offer a one-year Plantsurance guarantee, and the details of that guarantee are clearly explained on our website. Plantsurance is not advertised as an instant refund or automatic replacement program. It provides store credit for eligible plants that do not survive, and that credit is intended to be used during the next shipping season. This is explained in our policy before purchase.
We do not begin processing current-season Plantsurance claims until July 1st because plants need adequate time to establish, adjust to their new environment, and show whether they are truly non-viable. It can take weeks or longer for some plants to leaf out or show new growth, especially after being shipped, planted, and adjusted to a new location. This timing is not meant to delay customers, but to prevent premature claims on plants that may still be alive and simply need time and consistent watering.
In your case, we went beyond our normal terms and conditions. We reshipped one of your orders, and then still processed a Plantsurance claim just one week after you received the replacement, which is outside of our normal policy. That is not something we were required to do under the stated terms, but we did it in an effort to help resolve the situation.
Regarding packaging, our plants are wrapped carefully to keep the roots protected and moist during shipping. Bundling plants together and using protective wrap helps prevent the roots from drying out in transit. We understand it may take some care to unpack them, but the purpose is to protect live plant material during shipping.
We stand behind our plants and our policies, but we also ask customers to understand that live plants are not the same as boxed retail goods. They need proper planting, consistent watering, and time to establish. Our policies are clearly posted so customers know what to expect before ordering, and in this case, we went beyond those policies in an effort to assist.
I have wanted a variegated banana for along time. Due to your wonderful 50 % off sale I treated myself to that and some other winter hardy bananas for SC. Things like that people remembers and will kept coming back. All my products came to me fast and in good condition.. very pleased.

We love hearing that everything arrived quickly and in good condition. We truly appreciate your business and look forward to helping you again on your next order.
The plants always arrive healthy and after the frost. Frost is a worry in N.E. Pennsylvania.

Thank you so much for your kind words and continued support. We’re glad to hear your plants have been arriving healthy and at a good time for your area. We understand frost can be a real concern in Northeast Pennsylvania, so we’re happy everything has worked out well for you. We truly appreciate your business.
Run away from this place! They sent a dead tree and they told me to wait a month because it’s “ in shock “ then they told me I would get a refund which they cancelled the following day! So I’m stuck with a dead tree and no refund!
Reply from Ty Ty Nursery2026-06-02
I believe there may be some confusion. We processed a full refund in the amount of $212.77 on 6-1-26. We did not cancel your refund.
We have also sent two emails with the receipt from the payment processor showing that the refund was issued. Once a refund is processed on our end, it can take the credit card company or bank 7 to 10 business days to post it back to your account.
We understand the frustration, but the refund has been issued and is not canceled.
Sending plants way to early to plant in ohio first of April
I ordered big ass blueberries in late winter and was promised that they would ship for appropriate planting in our zone. Sounded like that would work out. They were sent the first of April and we still had snow o.n the ground. Put my 500.00 order in pots and moved them in and out of the garage on nice days till it was appropriate to leave out. Took care of them like new born babies. Dead all of them now trying to get a refund a whole new disaster.. My advice stear clear the other reviews of customer service problems are not exaggerated. Good luck

We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your blueberry order. In the interest of customer satisfaction, we issued a full refund for this order.
We understand planting conditions can vary greatly by location, especially early in the season, and we appreciate the care you put into trying to keep the plants watered and protected while they established.
I ordered two grape vines. They arrive in a dorminant state. One vine is doing great but the other never showed any life. I reported the issue and was told I would receive an IN-STORE credit to buy something else; however, I would have to pay the very high cost of shipping again. So I am only getting money back for a plant that never "came to life", but money that I can only spend with a merchant that I choose not to do business with again. And if I choose to spend that money with them, then they get to rip me off again with the high cost of shipping. Sometimes lessons are expensive, and this one has definitely been that for me. Buyer beware

We’re sorry you were disappointed with the Plantsurance store credit process. While our standard policy provides store credit for plants that do not survive, we issued a 100% refund for the entire order in the interest of customer satisfaction.
Please enjoy the grape vine that is currently growing. We hope it continues to establish well with consistent watering and proper care.
Their plants are always awesome. I will definitely purchase more.

the "tree" arrived bare rooted and stayed that way...
the "tree" arrived bare rooted. I followed the planting instructions and watered accordingly. 4 months later I still have a "tree" that appears lifeless. According to their scratch test, it is not dead. It has no leaves or buds. It looks like a dead tree to me. (and my neighbors) No refunds given. They only offer in store credit. Why would I want anything else from them? Good Luck sending an email. They did not reply to mine. And phone calls are very slow. Be prepared to be on hold for a while. I suggest buying from a company that ships a potted living active tree.

Normally, we would ship a replacement. We do not have any more Dwarf Peppermint Crape Myrtles Trees at this time. I am going to go ahead and ship you a replacement. Thank you for your business and I am sorry to hear the tree did not survive transplanting. I hope this helps bring this to a positive resolution.
The trees I received were in good shape and should do fine even planting this late. My only problem was a ordered 5 amling and 5 Lakota even trees and only received 4 ambling trees So there your feedback

Thank you for sharing this. We’re glad we were able to get your special delivery needs set up quickly and give you peace of mind. We truly appreciate your business and are happy everything came through as requested.
I received two plants, 8-12 weeks ago. Both were bare root. Neither ever budded. Both are now dead. 38 bare root trees from other providers are thriving. I contacted TyTy regarding a refund or replacement. They asked for photos. I sent photos. They asked for photos again. I sent more photos. They stopped responding. I’m filing complaints today with the BBB and trying to reverse the charges with my bank. These delay tactics and failing to respond appear to be an intentional policy to make receiving a replacement or refund so time consuming, slow, and difficult that customers give up. Really a complete failure of customer service and definitely a practice that guarantees no repeat customers. Angry frustrated and disappointed but not giving up until I have replacements or my money back. Not okay, Ty Ty! Why not just go the right thing and offer a clear honest truthful guarantee policy and do the right thing?
Reply from Ty Ty Nursery2026-05-26
We’re sorry to hear about your frustration. We do want to clarify that our Plantsurance claim process is not a delay tactic. Per our policy, current season claims are processed after we stop shipping for the season so plants have adequate time in the ground to establish, leaf out, and show whether they are truly non-viable.
We did receive your photos, and your claim had already been confirmed. However, in lieu of continuing through the Plantsurance store credit process, we are canceling the Plantsurance claim and issuing a refund check for both orders.
Since these orders are older than 6 months and were paid through PayPal, we are unable to refund the original payment method directly. A refund check will be mailed instead.
I am thrilled with the quality and careful packaging that was done to give me top quality healthy and thriving trees. Teresa in customer service spent her time to update me on how to plant, when to plant and how to care for them going forward. I will not shop anywhere else for my trees!!

Thank you so much for your kind words and support. We’re thrilled to hear your trees arrived healthy, carefully packaged, and ready to establish. Teresa will be so happy to hear your feedback, and we’re glad she was able to help with planting and care guidance. We truly appreciate your trust in Ty Ty Nursery and look forward to helping you with your trees for years to come.
Update: Thank you for the follow up information. I see where we processed a full refund for your order yesterday. Thank you for your business and I hope a full refund brings this to a positive resolution.
We are sorry to hear this was your experience and would like to look into it further. Can you please provide your order number? We are not able to locate an order under the name Janice for any size crabapple tree from this shipping season. Once we have the order information, we can review the details, photos, and any prior communication to better assist you.
