We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed, but we do want to clarify the history of this order. The first shipment was reported as delivered empty, so we shipped the order again 3 days later. Two months after that replacement was delivered, you contacted us to report the trees had failed. In the interest of customer satisfaction, we sent another replacement and explained at that time that the replacement would not carry an additional warranty. Even so, when that tree was later reported as failed, we still processed a Plantsurance claim and issued another order. Our guarantee is a one-time coverage, not a lifetime replacement policy. In this case, we went beyond our normal policy and covered the plants multiple times. We are sorry they did not work out for you, but there is nothing further we can issue on this order.

It is completely normal for fruit trees to arrive with little to no visible greenery, especially when they are dormant. Dormant trees may not look active right away, but that does not mean they are not alive. With proper planting and consistent watering during the establishment period, they should begin to show signs of growth when conditions are right. We truly appreciate your business and are glad your experience with Ty Ty has been superb so far.

To complete your claim, we will need you to send scratch test photos of the tree. Please lightly scrape a small section of bark near the trunk until you reach the cambium layer underneath. If it is green, the tree is still alive; if it is brown and dry, that indicates the tree has died. Once we receive clear photos of the scratch test, we’ll be able to move forward with finalizing your claim. Please note that we begin processing claims in July for this season’s orders to allow adequate time for establishment. We do not offer direct replacements or refunds back to the card through the Plantsurance warranty. Once a claim is approved, we issue store credit for the purchase price of the plant, and that credit can be used toward a new order. We do understand your concern about the pruning. Some trees do have to be pruned before shipping so they can safely fit within carrier size requirements and arrive protected during transit. Peach trees respond very well to pruning, and with consistent watering during the establishment period, it should push new growth and shape out nicely over time.
