I am extremely disappointed with Universal Translation Services. I paid for a professional certified translation for an urgent legal matter with a hard deadline of March 12th. It is now March 15th, and the project has NOT been delivered. The portal lists the status as "Awaiting for approval," but the company has disabled the approval button and all functional communication channels. I have sent messages (Project S-258671) with zero response. To make matters worse, the draft provided was of appalling, machine-generated quality, and the company actually requested that I perform the translation work myself. This is a complete failure of service and a breach of contract. I have attempted to resolve this internally, but the "Send us a message" feature is unresponsive. I have now initiated a Bank Chargeback for non-delivery and filed a formal report with the BBB. You provided an appalling machine-translation and formally requested that I perform the professional work myself . Editing your failures is not 'approval'; it is evidence of your non-performance. It's amazing that you speak as if I work for you, and therefore need to edit your translation. I am a PAYING customer, not your translator. I am not an employee of your firm. I paid for a professional, accurate translation suitable for court submission. The fact that I had to manually rectify machine-translation errors today—errors your firm failed to catch—is the definition of a service failure. I expect the refund to be processed immediately for the labour I performed on your behalf.
I translated two documents: an employment contract and a certificate of no criminal record. A very good experience. Excellent translation quality, document structure preserved, and speed of translation. Furthermore, the price, even with translation certification, was lower than that of competitors without certification. I'm very satisfied.
I had a good experience
Extremely fast and very responsive. Saved me !
You made a great job I am always satisfied I will translate 5 documents today 😃
Excellent service. Fast, efficient, accurate, and very transparent in terms of costs. The communication was especially good. Thank you so much!
Professional services for my certified translation, Just took a picture and sent it to them. Instant quote received.
Super quick and accurate at translating complex legal documents. Excellent communication.
Worst quality translations I have ever seen. Some of things translated make no logical sense in any language
it was quite a simple job , 1 driving licence, 1 passport, 1 certificate of residence . It was very costly to correct a simple typo mistake . final documents and certificates were very good.
Honestly I got my docs back with errors. Typo errors and this is a waste of time. Maybe you should have a separate QC before it's returned.
Excellent customer service, very fast and responsive!!
We had two projects with Universal Translation Services - basically two times the same drivers license with different personal data. The drivers license itself has around 15 words and is openly available as translation online. Therefore the translation effort was close to zero. The first project was delivered way over the promised 24 hours. Moreover they mistranslated some single letters AND forgot two of the 15 words which I then had to translate on my own. The second translation as a separate project was also delivered with delay. Moreover all of a sudden the price doubled - this time the readily translated document, which only needed another signature, counted as two pages. Chatting with the customer support wasn’t helpful at all as they didn’t care. We had to pay as time was ticking, knowing they are way slower than they promised. So summarized: No translation in time, pricing varies and quality needs your own translation for the simplest thing. Only good thing was that it was accepted.
Sunday, March 23, 2025 5:06 AM (CET), I received an email from Universal Translation Services with a link to the "client account". I have regularly checked the progress of project S-248046 (no. AQ-248046). Until today, project S-248046 (no. AQ-248046) had the status "Translator Finished" in my "client account". Since today, the project has the status "Review Client." Today, on March 28, 2025 11:15 (CET), you sent the tenth email about project S-248046 (no. AQ-248046). In contrast to the information in the client account, the email stated that the project has the status "Translator Working". According to your own statement, the estimated delivery date was March 23, 2025 21:59 (EST). It has been five days now and I have not received a translation yet. My impression is that you have not worked on the translation yet and that no translator has been assigned yet. FOR THAT REASON I request that you inform me in detail what you have done so far for project S-248046 (no. AQ-248046). Furthermore, I urge you to set a new delivery date.
