I deeply regret using Universal Relocations.

Based on my experience, I seriously question the authenticity of the positive reviews. Universal Relocations lost my package and has shown no accountability. I received six packages, but one of them was not mine and had to be returned. My actual package is still missing, and no one at the company has been able to locate it or provide any meaningful resolution. The missing package contained expensive books worth more than USD 2,000. I deeply regret using Universal Relocations. If any employee is reading this review, my booking reference is UR-145797. Please locate my package and resolve this matter immediately.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. I understood that an international groupage shipment would take time, but getting even basic updates has been extremely difficult. Communication has been vague, callbacks have not happened, and I have repeatedly had to chase the company for information about the shipment’s location and expected delivery. Even after several months, they were unable to provide a firm delivery date or clear tracking details. Delays can happen, but customers should not have to fight for routine updates. Based on the lack of transparency, responsiveness, and ownership, I cannot recommend Universal Relocations.

1 Star - Avoid at all costs! Horrible experience. They missed their own estimated delivery timeline by over two weeks, and then held my shipment hostage at the port until I paid surprise, last-minute fees. When I asked for the actual invoices to verify the charges, they dodged the question. Customer service is completely useless and just feeds you generic excuses about "logistics." They will bait you with a quote, take your belongings, and then trap you with delays and hidden charges. Do not use this company!

Good professional service at a reasonable price.

We recently used Universal Relocations to ship our belongings from the USA to Abu Dhabi, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The team were friendly, professional, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Despite the current global logistical challenges, their pricing was very reasonable, communication was clear, and all of our items arrived safely and in perfect condition. Cargo sent on 15th December

Cargo sent on 15th December. Still in Oman!! We sent our house hold items and were given a 45-60 day time frame for delivery in Ireland. Guess what!! It is still in Oman! Worse though! we were constantly lied that the cargo has now arrived in Ireland. Only a deep dive could find that this has been a lie all along! Must avoid!!

Excellent experience with Universal Relocations LLC in Phase 1 of our relocation plan. The company’s strong ratings (4.9) are well deserved. We felt we were in safe hands from the moment we spoke to Sheena Sonu who became our guide and gave us excellent advice throughout the process. It is noteworthy that her advice always created a Win-Win situation. Each team member that she introduced namely, Sonali and Somya, exceeded expectations. The process was structured, transparent, and professionally managed, and Sheena and the team were always proactive, responsive, and highly supportive. The packing and moving team were efficient and delivered well. This is a company that executes well and gives importance to customer experience. People like Sheena and the team make good companies great. Universal Relocations LLC is a 100% reliable relocation partner and is wholeheartedly recommended.

There was absolutely no coordination…

There was absolutely no coordination among their staff. I kept receiving incorrect and misleading information throughout the process. Then, at the last moment, they unexpectedly changed the pickup date, which caused significant inconvenience and put me in a very difficult situation. Very bad experience.

Smooth pickup experience

I recently used Universal Relocations to pick up my furniture from Chennai for international shipping to Dallas, and I’m very happy with the experience so far. The pickup process was seamless, well-organized, and handled with great care. A special thanks to Kavin, Arjun, and Shantan, who did an excellent job. They were professional, efficient, and made sure everything was packed and handled properly. I’ll be sure to write another review once my furniture is delivered in Dallas, but based on the pickup experience alone, I’m very satisfied with their service

Unreliable handling of goods, multiple delays, inconsistent communications

Having shipped the goods from Seattle, WA to receive those in India, I was utterly disappointed to see the condition in which they were delivered. The boxed goods were stuffed at the very end of the container and were placed very poorly with no regard for fragility of the goods inside the boxes. The boxes themselves were torn severely, so much that 2 of the boxes were taped one above the other and loosened to a point where the goods were falling out of the boxes. I emailed pictures in an email to Universal Relocations and was asked to reach out to the insurer. In those pictures it is clearly visible how one of the artifacts (golden ceramic) that I requested from the very beginning of being fragile and to be handled with care, was broken completely and is now useless to me. There are goods that are missing in the boxes like a digital alarm clock, a full size golden framed mirror and a lot more. Also, none of the goods were in the same condition as they were packed. More than 2 boxes had everything (including office stationary) taken out, dismantled and stuffed in the boxes like trash. The electronic equipment and other goods in the boxes were unpacked, damaged and boxed together. As some of you can try to imagine the plight of having to relocate between countries located so far apart, this service I purchased from Universal Relocations must not add to the list of things that cause further stress or damage to the process of relocating. The whole point of relocating my belongings to India was thrown out the window as the goods were delivered as broken and like garbage in a trash bag. Except for a couple of my check-in bags, everything else I received is damaged to a point of being unrepairable. UNACCEPTABLE !!!

We selected Universal over 4 other…

We selected Universal over 4 other relocation companies for our move from New Delhi to Washington DC. They have a Universal office in our area in DC and costs were also reasonable. So far our household goods have only been packed and picked up, and the rest of the journey remains! We are very happy with the professional Delhi team of packers led by Vishal, and also the backend team headed by Santhan, along with Arjun, Priya, and Kavin, that has coordinated the efforts so far. We are hopeful that the rest of the journey will be as smooth.

International shipping with Universal

Recently, we contracted Universal for our international shipping needs, and they did an excellent job with both packing and shipping. Priya and Santhan were our shipping coordinators. Priya took the time to understand our requirements and provided a well-thought-out quote. Once the quote was finalized, Santhan handled the scheduling of the pickup in a timely manner and kept us informed throughout the process, including insurance coordination. Overall, a smooth and professional experience.

I recently used Universal Packers and Movers for the second time, and once again, they were absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, the whole process was smooth and stress-free. Relocation experience

The packing ,moving and unloading was done professionally and within TAT for my movement from Chennai to Bangalore. Would like to thank Ms. Sandhiya S for coordinating and assisting in timely delivery of goods. Hence I will recommend the company to my friends and relatives in case they have any future relocation requirement.

One of the worst companies to deal…

One of the worst companies to deal with. Do not ship with them. They are nice and collect your deposit. They harass for the payment in advance. When it comes to delivery they do not give delivery dates. Our shipment has arrived 15 days back. We shipped from Chennai in Dec and it is not even delivered to us in March in CA. Priya the head of operations is nice but ignore to tell us it will take six months instead told us it will take three months. I would have gone with different shipper. Also to ship to CA they ship to New York , then ship to Newark and then to LA and then to San Diego. They keep delaying seeking at each location. Do not pay them till you get the shipment. They are worst scammers . Priya cannot even get us a committed delivery date.
