I subscribed to VidIQ on December 16. On December 17, my channel’s views dropped to almost zero and never recovered. This timing is not a small fluctuation. The change was immediate. VidIQ strongly pushes creators to modify titles, descriptions, tags, and overall strategy based on its AI recommendations. I followed those recommendations in good faith, and the result was a complete loss of momentum on my channel. Instead of helping, the tool led me to over-optimize, constantly change settings, and lose stability. When I realized the situation was getting worse and asked for a refund, I was refused. I was told to “keep using the product” and wait, with no consideration for my dissatisfaction or the immediate negative impact I experienced. I was also locked into a yearly plan, which I would never have chosen knowingly. For creators, especially artistic or non-SEO-driven channels, this tool can be harmful. It creates anxiety, encourages excessive changes, and offers no safety net when things go wrong. The lack of flexibility and the refusal to refund are serious red flags. I do not recommend VidIQ.

Since using vidiq I feel like my views got worse. It focuses mainly on shorts rather than your channel as a whole. Ive followed everything it told me to the T for titles, seo keywords, descriptions. When i do all of that and it gets little no views, they say heres where you went wrong. Even if it was all them.. Now, with a new update, they limit what you can do even if you pay for a monthly subscription. I'm just about done with the app
I really like the channel audit feature, especially how it scores my video titles and thumbnails. The lessons in VidIQ have also been valuable. Overall, it gives me clear visibility into how to optimize and grow my channel, which is especially important as a new YouTube content creator.
