I used it for my passport renewal, mine and my brother’s. We even had to pay like $34 to get it done at the nearest Walgreens (goodbye my money😭), but this PULLED THROUGH. I saw a post on Reddit recommending it, LIFESAVER!!! I’d give you a kiss, but let’s settle for a virtual one. I kept getting “this doesn’t follow ICAO photo standards!!” anytime I submitted my photo. Any longer and I’d probably be bald from pulling my hair out of frustration.
Anyways, I saw a post recommending it and I said “why not”, plus, there’s even a refund if it doesn’t work out. I tried it and it worked. I feel so thankful, YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!! Seriously, thank you for your work. I can stop feeling stressed about my passport renewal and not spend so much on getting it professionally done (love all you professional photographers tho :)

Extremely disappointing and stressful experience.
I used this service to generate a visa photo for IRCC (Canada), where requirements are very strict. The photo I received was clearly not compliant: visible editing artifacts (halo around the head from background removal) and a white border issue when downloading the file.
I contacted support multiple times, provided screenshots, and explained the problem clearly. Instead of addressing the issue, they kept denying it and gave irrelevant explanations.
Even worse, they stated that a refund would only be possible if the official IRCC website rejects the photo. This is not acceptable — customers are paying for a compliant photo, not to take risks with an official application.
This kind of service should be reliable and professional given the stakes involved. Unfortunately, this was not the case at all.
I strongly advise against using this service for any official documents.

About the issues you mentioned:
• The file itself doesn’t contain any white border. What you’re seeing is most likely how your image viewer displays the photo (for example, macOS Preview shows images on a white background, which can look like a frame).
• We also reviewed the image for editing artifacts (like a halo around the head) and didn’t find anything that would affect compliance.
To help, we re-sent the file, shared screenshots with the exact dimensions, and even changed the background color so the edges are easier to see in different viewers.
Regarding refunds: we do offer a full refund if the photo is officially rejected by IRCC. This way, the decision is based on the actual requirements, not how the image may appear in a specific app.

EASY, FAST and ACCURATE
We were extremely worried about the photo we needed perfectly formatted for our Brazil EVisa. Visafoto was EASY, we basically took general photo against a blank wall and sent to Visafoto, paid 8 bucks and we got a formatted and shadows and background all fixed within minutes. They keep to their words
I needed a photo done for my passport renewal. Nothing I tried worked. Then I read a review that Visafoto works, so I tried it. My initial photo didn't work. Paul patiently explained that the shirt colour I had on and my proximity to the camera were causing issues. I took another picture, sent it to him, and he manually edited it to meet my passport requirements. 5 stars.
I am blown away by the quality support that Visafoto provided me from past couple of days.
