About this business

Viwoods stands out by combining high-end E Ink hardware with a privacy-first, AI-assisted productivity system, offering more than just digital handwriting or reading. While many paper tablets focus on isolated functions, Viwoods integrates notes, tasks, calendars, and cloud sync into one seamless, focused workflow. What truly sets us apart is our balanced system philosophy. Unlike fully closed systems that restrict user choice or open systems that invite distraction, AiPaper offers access to essential productivity tools, like calendars, AI, and email, while intentionally excluding entertainment apps such as video and audio players. It creates a clean, minimal environment that supports deep thinking, planning, and creative work.We also prioritize long-term trust and security. All files are stored locally on the device's 128GB memory, without relying on cloud servers, eliminating data exposure risks. Features like fingerprint unlock and on-device encryption further protect user privacy from the ground up.And to ensure users can truly explore whether AiPaper fits their needs, we offer a 100-day unconditional return and exchange policy — one of the most generous in the category. This trial period reflects our confidence in the product and our commitment to helping users find a tool that genuinely supports their workflow.

What people say

I rarely write negative reviews

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Viwoods was extremely disappointing. I purchased an AiPaper, but I never actually received the package. FedEx marked it as delivered and provided a delivery photo, but there was no signature, no confirmation from me, and no proof that I personally received it. I contacted FedEx and went through the claim process, but the claim was ultimately rejected. What disappointed me most was how Viwoods handled the situation. Instead of providing a fair resolution, their final offer was essentially a 50% coupon and a colour case. Considering I paid for a product that I never received, I found this completely unacceptable. I understand that shipping issues can happen. What matters is how a company treats its customers when something goes wrong. In my experience, I felt like I was left to deal with the problem myself rather than Viwoods genuinely standing behind my purchase. This experience completely changed my opinion of the company. A product can look great and have impressive features, but customer service matters just as much. Unfortunately, based on how this situation was handled, I cannot recommend Viwoods and would personally think twice before purchasing from them again.

Buyer Beware When Purchasing from Viwoods AiPaper

Caveat Emptor: Buyer Beware When Purchasing from Viwoods AiPaper I gave Viwoods every reasonable opportunity to resolve this privately before publishing this review. They chose not to. What follows is simply an account of my experience. I hate writing poor reviews, and they are an exception, but this one is well earned. I liked my Viwoods AiPaper and had previously spoken positively about it. The original cover eventually began deteriorating. The stylus holder became loose enough that the $100 stylus repeatedly fell out and was ultimately damaged. I did not ask Viwoods to replace the cover or reimburse me for the stylus. I simply ordered another cover. While traveling, I accidentally ordered an AiPaper Mini cover instead of the full-size AiPaper cover. I do not own an AiPaper Mini. The cover was new, unused and of no use to me. I contacted Viwoods approximately six days beyond its seven-day accessory return period. I did not request a refund. I asked to exchange the unused cover for the correct full-size cover, offered to pay the difference and was willing to pay return shipping. Viwoods declined. They initially offered a 20% discount on another cover. Only after an extended, time-consuming conversation did they increase the offer to 50%. I acknowledge that offer, but it did not resolve the issue. I wasn't asking for free merchandise. I was asking to exchange an unused product after an honest ordering mistake and purchase the more expensive cover I actually needed. The way Viwoods handled the conversation made me increasingly doubtful that a human with authority to exercise judgment had actually reviewed the circumstances. When I asked whether management had personally considered my request, Viwoods did not answer. Instead, it stated that the matter had been "reviewed and enforced under our corporate customer support guidelines." I cannot know whether a human reviewed the matter, but their responses did little to demonstrate that anyone considered the circumstances beyond applying the seven-day rule. Viwoods described covers as "consumable items" and compared them to ordinary personal gear or footwear. Planned obsolescence? Their characterization raises a reasonable question. My original cover's stylus holder deteriorated enough that it could no longer securely hold the stylus. The stylus repeatedly fell out, landed on the nib and was damaged. I spent approximately $100 replacing it and never asked Viwoods to reimburse me. My concern is no longer the cover. It is the customer service standing behind their products. The issue was never the price. It was the refusal to apply reasonable judgment to a straightforward situation involving an unused product, a customer willing to pay all associated costs, and a customer who had previously liked and recommended the brand. What makes this particularly unfortunate is how easily it could have ended differently. Viwoods could have resolved it almost immediately with a modest exercise of discretion. I would have returned the unused cover at my expense, paid the difference and come away with an even more favorable impression of the company. Instead, an extremely simple customer-service issue became a surprisingly time-consuming exchange and a substantially larger issue than the problem itself. We live in an age when companies, particularly technology companies, increasingly use artificial intelligence to communicate with customers. I have no idea whether AI played any role in my correspondence with Viwoods, and I am not suggesting that it did. Ultimately, it doesn't matter. Whether the responses came from a person, a computer, or some combination of the two, the experience left me with a much simpler conclusion: The problem isn't artificial intelligence. It's real indifference. The facts remain simple: I ordered the wrong cover. It was unused. I contacted Viwoods six days beyond its stated return period. I requested an exchange, not a refund. I offered to pay shipping and the price difference. Viwoods declined. Their offer moved from 20% to 50% only after a lengthy exchange. When I asked whether management had personally reviewed the circumstances, they did not answer. I liked my AiPaper. This experience changed my opinion of Viwoods. I am returning to my reMarkable. Other customers can decide for themselves what this experience says about the company standing behind the product. RL

My Experience With Viwoods

My Experience With Viwoods: Paid for a Device I Never Received I am sharing my experience with Viwoods because I believe other customers deserve to know how my case was handled. I purchased a Viwoods device and paid for it in full. FedEx later marked the package as delivered and provided a photo showing the package left outside at a location I recognize. However, I personally never received the package. When I checked for it, the package was not there. I also checked with people around me and confirmed that no family member or other person received the package on my behalf. The most frustrating part is that the delivery photo does not prove that I actually received the product. It only shows that a package was left at a location. There was no proof of my personal receipt, no signature, and no confirmation that the package remained there until I could retrieve it. I contacted Viwoods and explained the situation in detail. I was willing to cooperate with any investigation and provide additional information. However, their position remained that because FedEx marked the package as delivered, they could not provide me with a refund or replacement. Their final solution was to offer me a 50% discount to purchase another device. To me, this was not a fair solution. I had already paid for a device that I never received, and I was then being asked to spend more money to purchase the same product again. Viwoods told me to check with family members, neighbors, local authorities, and cooperate with FedEx’s investigation. While I understand that an investigation may be necessary, I believe it is unreasonable for a customer to be expected to accept the complete financial loss when the item was left unattended and never actually received. My concern is simple: I paid Viwoods for a product, but I never received the product I paid for. I cannot speak for anyone else’s experience with Viwoods. I can only share my own. However, based on the way my case was handled, I personally cannot recommend purchasing from them. I would encourage potential customers to carefully consider their shipping and delivery protections before placing an order, especially for expensive devices. In my case, a delivery confirmation and a photo of a package being left outside were treated as sufficient grounds to deny me both a refund and a replacement, even though I never received the device. I hope Viwoods reviews this situation again and improves the way these cases are handled. A fair resolution, in my opinion, would be either a full refund or a replacement shipped with a more secure delivery method. Until then, I believe customers deserve to know exactly what happened in my case and decide for themselves whether they are comfortable with that level of customer protection. This review reflects my personal experience and is based on my communications, tracking information, and the facts of my specific order.

Warning

Warning: "Free Returns" is a trap. Avoid this company. I bought a device from Viwoods EU because they explicitly advertised free returns. After trying it out, I decided to send it back. However, they deducted €15 from my refund for shipping, claiming that my order was placed during a "promotional period." This is deceptive advertising. Save yourself the headache and avoid companies like this.

Disaster

Despite the frustration and the enormous waste of time caused by using the AiPaper Mini, it is perhaps a great relief to finally leave a terrible review for a product whose software is nothing short of disgraceful. It is packed with bugs that persist release after release without being fixed. The whole experience is clunky, overly complicated, and unnecessarily frustrating. I’d rather have fewer features that actually work than a long list of broken ones. Never again. I wouldn’t use it even if it were given to me for free.

Aftersales: trying to scam you

The product is kinda ok. Used Remarkable before and that was plain old tech. Viwoods AI Mini is faster and has way more functionality. But, when my styles broke I send them a request askimg if they could help. I got a honest reply stating the styles is defected. Only having it for less than one year, they stated that I was in luck, I could get 50% off the retail price for a replacement. What? In EU we got atleast 24 months of warranty. “We are sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing with your stylus. Based on your description, it appears the issue is specific to the stylus itself. As your order has exceeded the 100-day free trial period, it is no longer eligible for a complimentary replacement. Additionally, please note that the stylus is classified as a consumable item, which is generally not covered under our standard warranty. However, we want to help you get back to using your device. As a gesture of goodwill, we are pleased to offer you a 50% discount on the W2 stylus or a 40% discount on our ceramic stylus. Please let us know which option you prefer, and we will provide the discount code for your purchase. Thank you for your understanding.” Replied and stated your mistaking and point out the EU law. After wich they send it to me only by paying 15 euro for sending and handling costs. Are you mental? This results in never ever buying a product of Viwoods ever again. What are you thinking. Viwoods scams the customer in my opinion. Edit 13 okt: second new pencil same problem.. Never ever again!

I regret putting my trust in this company

From the beginning i found this tablet not user friendly, and when I contacted them they told me that it is new tech and there would be frequent software updates over time, and that should make the operation of it easier. Now comes the serious matter, when I was informed of a new update, an then I tried to switch on the ai paper, nothing happened the tablet was fully charged. I contacted customer service and they gave me steps to reflashing, but I could not achieve this as the tablet would not switch off and switch on, so it could not be recognised by my pc. I have not been helped by customer service, excuses like it Chinese new year etc. I have now a very expensive tablet that does not work and is frozen in like a stby condition. I now regret putting my trust in this company

Great E ink reader and note taker

The e ink reader is great and I have both sizes. Main benefits are: * Being able to take notes on either device and upload to the cloud service of your choice and then see the notes on the other device. * Full Google store access, I really love using my newspaper app on here. * Viwoods constantly making updates to improve the user experience. * Taking notes and linking these to the calendar to make looking back by time really easy.

AiPaper: an incredible e-ink device

Viwoods creates a great e-ink device. The AiPaper is well made both on hardware and software side. It runs on a custom version of Android then it is easy to find and install applications of daily usage. In addition, the Viwoods team releases software updates frequently to add new features. It is equipped with, probably, the best screen on the market for resolution and contrast. I like this product a lot!

Well done Guys!

My expectations have been completely fulfilled. The writing experience is almost better than on certain types of paper: the ability to quickly jot down notes and reorganize them later is what I needed to be more effective and productive. The new voice recognition and automatic transcription features are what I was waiting for to have a complete work tool that suits all my needs. Congratulations to the development team—the ability to use Android apps is the definitive distinguishing factor. Well done guys!

I love my Viwoods AiPaper

I love my Viwoods AiPaper. I bought one of the first released in the US last October. I bought it to help me with taking notes for classes. I investigated a number of the other e-ink devices and when it came right down to it the AiPaper was the number one choice. I love that it does so much more than just take notes. I use it for meetings; for reading and annotating pdfs; and keeping my daily schedule. It is also great that I can utilize my Google apps. On top of all the features, the response of the development team to provide continuous updates to improve the user experience it another reason for review rating. All I can say is keep up the good work.

I’ve really enjoyed my Viwoods devices

I’ve really enjoyed my Viwoods and have both their large and mini device. The company itself is very trustworthy and responds well to customer feedback, and helps quickly if you have any issues. I would recommend them as a reputable company and would recommend the device as well, as it is being continuously improved with iterative updates.

Viwoods has done a great job

Viwoods has done a great job of providing a solid e-ink tablet experience. The screen is one of the best I've seen, and having access to Google Play really helps increase my productivity with the device. I appreciate how responsive the team is to user feedback and community suggestions, and the continuous updates are great.
