I have had success transfering money to Medellin Colombia. However, I have been trying to send money from my account in the United States to my account at BCR in Costa Rica. It continues to tell me that the account number is not valid. I keep telling them that I had put in my valid account number. I am in Costa Rica and went to BCR and they confirmed tha the number I have been submitting is in fact my correct account number. They keep telling me tha they are looking into but cannot resolve. WHY?

used a debit card but still charged to 1% transfer fee
I asked to send an amount of $492.00, but the clerk entered $490.00, but I told him that amount would be acceptable. But then when he gave me the final amount, he had charged me an additional 1% transfer fee. I used a debit card and I don't think I should have had to pay this additional fee. When I asked him why, he just shrugged his shoulders and said, well everything cost more these days. Thank you!

One star because I wanted my recipient to receive the money in dollars but the WU in the Philippines gave the money in pesos telling my brother that they don't have dollars on hand.. and their exchange rate is lower than other places! WU needs to honor their service and customers.
