Easy to purchase

I paid for this insurance to travel to Israel and the insurance stole my money!!!!!!

I paid for this insurance to travel to Israel. The dates changed numerous times due to terrorist attacks in Israel. I was able to transfer my dates but was sometimes charged more. If you read the coverage and non-coverages, there was no mention of not covering of terrorist attacks or war. The issue is that when you are not able to go because another country attacks Israel it is up to the insurance company to define war not the actual definition of war. The definition is below: a state of armed conflict between different countries or different groups within a country. The terrorist attack on Israel by Iran, not war, was not covered. Since the dates were in limbo and I made a claim, the insurance claim was denied and there were no funds available to use. Total fraud. The dates for the travel finally opened up and this fraudulent company said that since I made a claim, but no refund was provided there was no more policy. Their idea of insurance is take your money with no real coverage but instead just take your money. " STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSURANCE AND SHOP AROUND NOT USING ANY SEARCH ENGINE THAT HAS THIS INSURANCE ON IT!!!!"

No Hiccups!

I signed up for insurance from World Trips as I prepared for my first ever trip to Hong Kong and China and those destinations are very far from my home country. It was a 'just in case measure'. The online process was quite easy and the service affordable. I received the policy quickly via email in good time for my travels. Fortunately I had a very enjoyable vacation with no negative experiences and did not have to make a claim. Based on my experience, I would recommend WorldTrips.

Great customer service

I wasn't able to complete my purchase online. Called for help the representative was able to enter everything in for me was done very quickly.

Repeat user experience

I am a repeat user, this is my 3rd policy. I wish, when I sign in, you would 1) make it easy to start a new policy and 2) remember my data and present it for review (name, address, citizenship, etc)

I liked that I had the coverage if…

I liked that I had the coverage if anything unforseen happened. (God forbid), But I've bought your insurance before, (twice) and didn't have to utilize the plan. That's good in one sense, but as I've never had to use it, I really cannot give a fair and accurate review of your company's performance. It's really good to have the coverage while traveling. I'd encourage seniors like myself to obtain a plan from World Trips.

Great Communication

While I didn't end up using the insurance, communication was very good and made it appear that claims would be honored. Everything was professionally handled.

Top-notch customer service!!!

After purchasing my policy and receiving my confirmation email with documents, I still had questions regarding the pre-existing conditions clause to verify I was covered because I purchased the policy 21 days after my initial trip payment. I called and spoke with Leah who was friendly and knowledgeable. She answered my questions, even when I thought they were small and stupid. As someone who works in customer service myself, her soft skills are something that is hard to teach and is something that usually comes from within.

Good website & claims process

Their website is easy to use and their coverage / price is equal to or better than many other companies. This is the second policy we have bought with them. The first was a lifesaver because my husband was injured as we were leaving for the airport. The claims process was relatively easy, and we had our full coverage payment in just under 2 months. We hope to not repeat that experience!
