The 123 Greetings is truly amazing

The 123 Greetings is truly amazing. Whenever I have trouble receiving their cards/notifcations, for example (my e-mail account changes its security settings), they reply within a few hours, explaining the problem, fixing it, offering options. You rarely get sort of friendly and thorough help these days. Just great. And their cards are beautiful, too. ;o) THANK YOU!

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Jasmin, Wow – thank you for your incredibly kind words! 😊 We're so happy to hear that you’ve had such a positive experience with our support team. It’s true that email security changes can sometimes cause hiccups, but we always aim to respond quickly, clearly, and helpfully. Knowing that you found our help “friendly and thorough” means the world to us – especially because, as you said, that level of care can be rare these days. And thank you for loving our cards too! 💌 We pour a lot of heart into making them beautiful for every occasion. Thank you for being such a wonderful user. We’re truly grateful for you, Jasmin! Keeps sending endless emails which cannot be answered or unsubscribed. Very suspicious site as previously reported

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Reginald, Thank you for your feedback – and I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience with unwanted emails from us. What you’ve described is not the standard we aim for, and I completely understand why you’d find that frustrating and suspicious. To be very clear: We are a legitimate ecard service that has been operating for over 20 years. However, we recognize that sometimes technical issues (or even someone else mistyping an email address) can cause our system to send emails to the wrong person. That should never happen, and when it does, we want to fix it immediately. Here’s how we can resolve this for you today: Please share the email address receiving the unwanted emails – either here in a reply or privately via [email protected] – and we will manually and permanently remove it from our entire database within a few hours. You will receive no further emails from us. On unsubscribing: In the past, some users did face difficulty with unsubscribe links. That is why we have recently launched brand new email templates that include: A clear, one-click unsubscribe button that works instantly Verified, safe links (no suspicious redirects) A visible footer with our contact information We have also strengthened our email authentication to prevent spammers from spoofing our name. I sincerely apologize that you’ve had this experience, Reginald. Please give us the chance to make it right. We look forward to resolving this for you immediately. Respectfully, 123greetings Customer Support Team

Avoid these people

I get lots of spam from this site. When I have tried to unsubscribe it does not allow me to do so. I have deleted my account and hope that works.

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Edward, Thank you for your honest feedback – and I am truly sorry for the frustration our emails have caused you. You are absolutely right to be upset when an unsubscribe link doesn’t work. That is unacceptable, and we take full responsibility for past failures in that area. Please know that this was never intentional, but rather a technical issue with our older email system. The good news: We have recently launched completely new email templates that include: A guaranteed one-click unsubscribe button that works immediately Clear, verified links (no suspicious redirects) Full compliance with anti-spam regulations Since you have already deleted your account, you should stop receiving emails automatically. However, if you continue to receive anything from us after deleting your account, please contact us directly at [email protected] with your email address, and we will manually purge it from every single list we have – no questions asked. We are not a fraudulent company. We’ve been delivering free ecards for over 20 years, but we clearly let you down. The new email templates are part of our commitment to doing better. Thank you for giving us a chance to improve, Edward, and again – our deepest apologies. Sincerely, 123greetings Customer Support Team

Impossible to Use

For ~ 20 years I have appreciated using 123 Greetings It has many excellent features. Unfortunately in the past year it has become UNUSABLE. I have just tried to send a Birthday card 5 times- getting a bit further each time, before another ad appears, takes over the screen and when done- I have nothing- have to bring up the website again and start over. I was almost complete on try #5- then gone. This is the worst use of ads on any web site I have ever seen. It is almost unbelievably insane. Good buy 123 Greetings. Sorry!

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear longtime user, First, thank you for being with us for nearly 20 years – that truly means the world to us. ❤️ And we are genuinely sorry to see you go under these circumstances. You're right to be frustrated. We hear you loud and clear: the ad experience on our free website has become overwhelming, and that's entirely our fault. What you described – getting almost through a card only to lose everything – is absolutely not the experience we want for anyone, especially not a loyal user like you. Here's what we've done to fix this: We have just launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (available for both iOS and Android). For only $5.99 per year (that's less than 50¢ a month), you can: Enjoy zero ads – no pop-ups, no interruptions, no lost cards Send unlimited ecards smoothly Save drafts and favorite cards Get faster performance We built this specifically for users like you who loved our service but couldn't tolerate the ads anymore. The mobile app experience is completely different – clean, fast, and peaceful. If you're willing to give us one more chance: Search "123greetings" in your app store, download the free version, and you'll see the option to upgrade to Pro for $5.99/year. We genuinely believe it will restore the experience you enjoyed for two decades. Again, I'm so sorry we drove you away. Whether you stay or go, thank you for those 20 years. We hope to earn you back. Warmly, 123greetings Customer Support Team

Infected

I received a notification of a Christmas card from a friend via an email from 123greetings.com. I checked the email address carefully to verify it was the right domain and the friend also let me know separately that she had sent the card, so I know I clicked on a real email from 123greetings.com. While waiting for the card to open, the browser page was redirected to virussweep.sa.com, which is a fake antivirus site full of alarming popups that try to scam you into believing you are infected and that you need to click on something or call a number to fix the PC, upon which you get the real malware download. I closed the page and that was that (I also ran a couple of scans and all fine), but clearly this company can no longer be trusted to deliver greeting cards in a safe manner. I know for sure my in-laws would have panicked and clicked on one of the fraudulent links if this had happened to them. I will make sure to never use this site or open another email from them and have told my friend not to use them to send me greeting cards in the future.

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear user, Thank you for bringing this to our attention – and I am genuinely sorry for the frightening and unacceptable experience you had. First, I want to reassure you: 123greetings does not intentionally redirect to scam sites like virussweep.sa.com. What you encountered is almost certainly a malicious advertisement that slipped through our ad network. We do not control every individual ad, and unfortunately, bad actors sometimes manage to inject scam redirects into legitimate ad platforms. That is absolutely not okay, and we completely understand why you no longer trust us. You did exactly the right thing – closing the page and running scans. We are very glad your computer was not harmed. What we are doing about this: We have reported the malicious domain to our ad partners and are tightening our ad screening. However, the only way to guarantee zero risk from ads is to remove them entirely – which is why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android). For only $5.99 per year, the Pro app has: No ads at all – zero popups, zero redirects, zero scam risks A clean, safe environment to send and open ecards Faster performance and saved drafts The mobile app does not rely on mobile web browsers where malicious redirects can occur. It is a fully contained, secure experience. Regarding your friend: Please tell her we are sorry as well. She used us to send you love, and instead you got a scam scare. That breaks our hearts. We are not a fraudulent company – we have been delivering free ecards for over 20 years – but we have failed you on safety due to bad ads. If you ever decide to give us another chance, please use the mobile app with the Pro upgrade, or ask your friend to send cards that way. Again, our deepest apologies. Thank you for being honest and for taking the time to warn others. Respectfully, 123greetings Customer Support Team

Avoid 123 greetings Leads to scam site

Clicked on a free E card to send and before I had had the chance to say to whom to send it I got a message saying quick-tutor had done an active card check and would be taking £50pm. All without me visiting their site and now I haven't sent the E card. Looks like total scam. AVOID

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Elspeth, Thank you for reporting this – and I am truly sorry for the alarming experience you had. Please let me be very clear: 123greetings does not charge any fees for sending free ecards. We have never taken money from users without explicit, voluntary payment (such as our Pro app upgrade). The message you saw from "quick-tutor" claiming they would take £50 per month is a fraudulent popup scam – likely generated by a malicious advertisement that hijacked the page. You did not visit their site. You did not give them any payment details. They cannot take £50 from you because they have no access to your financial information. These scams rely on fear to trick you into calling a number or clicking a link. You are safe as long as you closed the page. That said, you should never have seen that scam on our site. This is completely unacceptable, and we understand why you feel the site is untrustworthy. We are actively working with our ad partners to block these malicious redirects, but the only guaranteed way to avoid them entirely is to remove ads altogether. That is why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year. It contains: Zero ads – no popups, no redirects, no scam risks A completely safe environment to send and open ecards No unexpected messages or third-party interruptions The free website will continue to have ads (which we are trying to clean up), but for users who want peace of mind and a smooth experience, the mobile app Pro version is the solution. Again, to be absolutely clear: You have not been charged £50 by us or anyone else from that popup. Please run a security scan on your device if you are concerned, but simply closing the page was the right move. We are deeply sorry that your experience led to fear and frustration. If you ever decide to give us another chance, please try the mobile app. And thank you for warning others – your feedback helps us improve. Sincerely, 123greetings Customer Support Team

Yikes

I received a greeting card today, supposedly from 123greetings. When I clicked on view the card, a porn site popped up.

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Suzanne, I am truly horrified and deeply sorry that this happened to you. What you described – clicking what should have been a greeting card and instead seeing a porn site – is absolutely unacceptable, disturbing, and not what 123greetings stands for. Please allow me to be very direct: This should never, ever happen. We do not create, host, or knowingly link to adult content. The most likely explanation is one of two things: A malicious ad redirect – A bad advertisement slipped through our ad network and hijacked your browser to another site. This is a known issue with some third-party ad providers, and we are aggressively working to block these bad actors. A spoofed email – The email may have looked like it came from 123greetings, but scammers sometimes fake our brand name to send dangerous links. If you still have the email, please check the sender's full email address – scammers often use addresses like [email protected] or similar misspellings. What we can do for you right now: Please forward the suspicious email to [email protected] so our team can investigate and try to trace the source. If you clicked from our legitimate site, please let us know the date and time so we can track which ad network was responsible. How to protect yourself going forward: The only guaranteed way to avoid malicious ad redirects on any free ecard site is to remove ads entirely. That's why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year – zero ads, zero popups, zero risk of being redirected to inappropriate content. Again, from the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry that you were exposed to that. It is not okay, and we will do everything we can to identify and block the source. Thank you for telling us – and please don't hesitate to reach out if we can help further. Respectfully, 123greetings Customer Support Team

stop verification at the end does not…

stop verification at the end does not work no matter how many times you do it does not approve. this is a mess & negative to anyone.

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Beverly, Thank you for your honest feedback – and I am truly sorry for the frustration you’ve experienced with the verification step at the end of the process. You are absolutely right: if the verification doesn’t work no matter how many times you try, that makes the entire site feel like a mess, and we completely understand why you would feel negatively about it. We hear you, and we apologize. Let me explain what might be happening and how to fix it: Browser or cache issues – Sometimes older browser data or extensions (like ad blockers) can interfere with the verification popup. Please try clearing your browser cache, disabling any ad blockers temporarily for our site, or using a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). Mobile vs. desktop – If you are on a mobile browser, verification can sometimes be glitchy. That is one of the reasons we built a dedicated mobile app (iOS and Android), which has a much smoother, reliable verification process with no popup issues. If you just want to get your card sent right now: Please try the 123greetings mobile app – the free version includes the same verification but works much more reliably than the mobile website. If you upgrade to the Pro version ($5.99/year) , you get an even faster, ad-free experience, but the free app should solve the verification problem on its own. To help us fix this for everyone: Could you let us know which device and browser you were using? You can reply or email [email protected]. Our team will investigate and correct the verification flow. Again, I am so sorry this has been a negative experience for you, Beverly. We are working to make things better. Thank you for giving us the chance to improve. Sincerely, 123greetings Customer Support Team

I'm glad I'm not alone

I'm glad I'm not alone. I thought it was just me, but after reading a lot of recent reviews, I see this once helpful website has become a time wasting piece of AI garbage. I'll go elsewhere, or just cards the "old fashioned" way. I'm sure I'll have better results. Oh, and I see I have to use more "Trustpilot" to get this review to 123greetings. Forget it. They'll notice all the customers they're losing.

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Rachel, Thank you for your honest feedback – and I’m sorry you’ve had a disappointing experience. You're not alone, and we hear you. We appreciate that you once found our site helpful. It sounds like your recent experience hasn't lived up to that, and we take that seriously. You're right that we've been reading all the recent reviews, and we are actively making improvements. One of those improvements is our ad-free Pro mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year. It offers: A clean, fast, and simple card-sending experience No popups or interruptions Carefully curated cards – no unnecessary clutter We built the app for users who want to send cards quickly without the distractions that can come with a free website. If you ever decide to give us another chance, we hope you'll try the mobile app. Either way, we respect your choice, and we thank you for the years you did spend with us. We see the customers we're losing, and we're working to earn them back. Sincerely, 123greetings Customer Support Team

SHOULD BE LESS THAN 0 STARS!

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Today was the 1st birthday my dad had without his wife (of 45 years) who passed away 4 months ago. The first thing he does every morning is check his email. I wanted to try to start his day with a smile because I knew he was going to be extra sad, and feeling the absence of his wife even more. So, I sent him an eCard using 123Greetings.com. He is very computer literate, extremely smart, and even though he turned 81 today, he is still sharp as a tack! So I'm confident this WAS NOT a user error situation! As soon as he clicked on the "download and view card" the link downloaded a ton of software, and made several changes to his desktop. Plus he never was able to "just" view the card. He was so upset, angry, and frustrated that he dropped his glasses, which broke them. What should have helped make his day a little brighter, ruined most of it. I WILL NEVER use 123Greetings.com again!

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Cynthia, I am so, so sorry. Reading your review broke my heart. First and foremost: please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your mother, your father’s wife of 45 years. That first birthday without her is incredibly painful, and your intention – to bring a smile to your dad’s face on such a hard morning – was beautiful and loving. You did a kind and thoughtful thing. What happened instead was absolutely unacceptable. Your father, who you describe as sharp and computer literate, did nothing wrong. He should have been able to click a simple link and see a birthday card. Instead, he was hit with software downloads, desktop changes, a broken pair of glasses, and a ruined day. That is not your fault, and it is not his fault. That is our failure. Please know that 123greetings does not intentionally or knowingly attach software downloads to our ecards. What you’re describing sounds like a malicious ad redirect – a bad advertisement that hijacked the page and tried to install unwanted software. This is a known danger with free, ad-supported websites, and we are deeply sorry that it happened to your father. We cannot undo the damage to his birthday, but we want to be honest with you: The only way to guarantee this never happens again is to eliminate ads entirely. That is why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year. The app has: No ads, no popups, no malicious redirects, no unwanted software downloads A completely safe, clean environment to send and open cards A simple, reliable viewing experience We understand if you never want to use us again. That is completely fair. But if you or your father ever choose to give us another chance, please do so only through the mobile app with the Pro upgrade. It is the safe version of what we should have always been. Again, Cynthia – from the bottom of our hearts, we are sorry. Please tell your father that we wish him a belated happy birthday, and that we are sorry his day was hurt by us. We will do better. With deepest respect and apologies, 123greetings Customer Support Team

I have used 123 greetings for decades now it is a waste of time!

Have used 123 greetings for decades now it has become a useless piece of unusable site ads pop-up covering the information you need to put in. It keeps on resetting I’ve spent a half hour trying to send a card when before it was all automated you would think that was AI and all the improvements that they would’ve improved not declined. I have to now say I will never ever go to 123 greetings again. It is a total waste of time and very poorly accessible. Ads block where you need to send text.

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear So, Thank you for being a loyal user of 123greetings for decades – that truly means so much to us. And we are genuinely sorry that your experience has changed so dramatically for the worse. You are absolutely right to be frustrated. Ads that cover the information you need to enter, the page resetting, taking half an hour to send a simple card – that is not the service you loved, and it is not the service we want to provide. You expected improvements over the years, not decline, and we failed to meet that expectation. Please know that we hear you. We are not ignoring reviews like yours. What has changed: Our free website relies on ads to stay free, but we have allowed those ads to become too intrusive. That is our mistake. The good news is that we have created a better alternative for users like you who just want to send a card quickly and peacefully. Our ad-free Pro mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year gives you: No ads at all – nothing covering your text, no popups, no resets A fast, smooth, reliable experience All the same great cards without any interruptions The mobile app is what our website should have become. We built it specifically for long-time users who are tired of fighting with ads. We understand if you say you will never use us again – that is completely fair after what you have experienced. But if you ever decide to give us one more chance, please try the free mobile app first, and if you love it, upgrade to Pro for less than the cost of a coffee per year. Thank you for your decades of trust, and our deepest apologies for letting you down. Sincerely, 123greetings Customer Support Team

Not free Even though you say so online

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Ellen, Thank you for bringing this to our attention – and I’m very sorry for the confusion you’ve experienced. You are absolutely right to be upset if a site claiming to be us asked you to pay for a card. However, I want to be clear: this was not a mistake on our part. What you likely encountered is a clone website – a fraudulent copycat site designed to look like 123greetings but that charges users for things we provide for free. These fake sites are illegal and unfortunately becoming more common. 123greetings itself is still completely free to send ecards – no payment required for standard cards. We never ask for credit card information just to send a greeting. How to be sure you are on the real 123greetings: Our official website is: www.123greetings.com Our official mobile apps are published under "123greetings" in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store We do not charge for sending regular ecards – only for our optional ad-free Pro app upgrade ($5.99/year) We appreciate you letting us know, Ellen. Please visit our real site – free as always – and thank you for your understanding. Sincerely, 123greetings Customer Support Team

That’s exactly why we built something better: Our ad-free Pro mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year offers a clean, simple, professionally designed experience – no popups, no mess, no frustration. Just beautiful cards that are easy to send. We understand if you’re done with us. But if you’re willing to give us one more chance, try the mobile app. It’s what our website should have been. SCAM!!!!!!!

SCAM!!!!!!!! Do not open! A friend Of my mom's just sent her a greeting card from there. When she opened the link for a card, it launched a virus that locked her computer and gave her a phone number to call. It said it was a phone number for Apple, but of course it was scammers. Beware!

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Teri, I am truly sorry for what your mom’s friend – and your mom – experienced. That sounds terrifying, and you are right to be furious. To be very clear: 123greetings does NOT intentionally send viruses or lock computers. What you described – a locked computer with a fake Apple support number – is a classic malicious ad redirect or a spoofed email pretending to be from us. Scammers sometimes fake our brand name to trick people. That said, it happened because your mom clicked a link that came from somewhere claiming to be us. We take full responsibility for the fact that our free website’s ad network has allowed bad actors to slip through. That is unacceptable. What we have done to fix this: New email templates – All legitimate emails from 123greetings now use verified, secure links that are clearly marked and cannot be spoofed easily. Stricter ad screening – We are aggressively blocking malicious domains. The only safe way to use us – Our ad-free Pro mobile app (iOS/Android, $5.99/year) has zero ads, zero popups, zero redirects. It completely eliminates the risk of these scams. For your mom right now: She should not call any number on the locked screen. Restart her computer in safe mode or have a professional remove the malware. Please ask her to never click a link from an ecard email unless she is 100% sure it came from our official domain (@123greetings.com). Even then, using the mobile app is safer. We are not scammers – we have been a free ecard service for over 20 years – but we have failed to keep our free website safe from bad ads. We are fixing it. In the meantime, please tell your mom we are deeply sorry, and if she ever wants to try again, only through the app. Thank you for warning others, Teri. Respectfully, 123greetings Customer Support Team

I am so disappointed with this company

My husband and I are so disappointed with this company. We were hoping we could send e-cards to Facebook friends, and many of us don't know contacts emails, or phone numbers! We would also have appreciated a notification before they took the 49.95 out of our account! (Some of us live busy lives and get distracted!) ...of course, there are no exceptions (or understanding) so we can get a refund!

Reply from 123Greetings.Com2026-05-09

Dear Michelle, Thank you for sharing your experience – and I am so sorry for the frustration and disappointment you and your husband have gone through. Please let me be very clear: 123Greetings.com is completely free. We have never charged anyone $49.95 to send ecards, nor do we take any payment without explicit consent. Unfortunately, what you've encountered appears to be a clone website – a fraudulent copycat site that mimics our brand to trick users into paying for things we offer for free. We completely understand why you're upset, and we wish we could issue a refund on their behalf, but because we do not operate those fake sites, we have no access to their payment systems. The best course of action is to contact your bank and dispute the charge as fraudulent. That said, we would love to show you what the real 123Greetings is like – warm, genuine, and truly free. As a small gesture of goodwill, please accept this free Mother’s Day e-card that you can send to anyone you love, with no payment or sign-up required: 👉 Send your free Mother's Day card here: https://www.123greetings.com/events/mothers_day/happy_mother/you_are_so_very_special_in_every_way.html To stay safe in the future, please only use our official website at www.123greetings.com or our official mobile apps. Stay away

Stay away. They take your money but they never send out any cards. And there's no way to contact them for a refund.

Dear Halona, Thank you for your warning – and I am truly sorry you’ve had this experience. Please know: The real 123greetings.com does not take any money to send ecards. Our service has always been free. What you’ve described – being charged for cards that never send, with no way to get a refund – is the hallmark of a fraudulent clone website that has copied our name and design to trick users. We are not those scammers. We hate them as much as you do. Here’s how we can help: If you were charged, please contact your bank immediately to dispute the transaction as fraud. Please also forward any emails or the website link you used to [email protected] – this helps us track and report clone sites. To show you what our real, free service is like: Please visit our official website at www.123greetings.com or download our official mobile app. You can send a beautiful, heartfelt card right now at no cost – no payment, no hidden fees. We also have real customer support. Email us at [email protected] anytime, and a real person will respond. We are so sorry that fake sites are using our name to hurt people like you. Thank you for speaking up – and please stay safe. Sincerely, 123greetings Customer Support Team

Beware!!

Signed up for free 7day trail and then had money deducted from my credit card for a n unwanted 12 month subscription. I have contacted 123cards twice regarding refunding my money with no response.

Dear Janice, Thank you for sharing your experience – and I am so sorry for the frustration and stress this has caused you. I want to be completely honest with you: 123Greetings (123greetings.com) is a completely free e-card service. We have never offered a free trial, nor do we charge for subscriptions or take any credit card payments for sending cards. What you’ve described sounds like a different company – most likely 123cards.com or another similar-sounding service – which does offer trials and auto-renewing subscriptions. We understand how confusing this is. The similar names have caused many people to accidentally contact us about charges from other companies. We hate that you’re caught in the middle of this. Here’s what we recommend you do right now: Check your credit card statement – Look for the exact merchant name (e.g., “123cards” or something else). That will tell you who actually charged you. Contact the correct company – If it was 123cards, you’ll need to reach out to their support team directly. We have no access to their billing systems and cannot issue a refund on their behalf. Dispute the charge with your bank – If the company won’t respond, your bank can help reverse an unauthorized charge. We truly wish we could do more, but because we are not the company that charged you, we have no way to help with a refund. What we can do is invite you to experience our real, 100% free service at www.123greetings.com – no trial, no credit card, no hidden fees. Just beautiful cards to send to the people you love. If you have any other questions, please email us directly at [email protected]. We’re here to help clear up the confusion. Sincerely, 123greetings Customer Support Team
