I think it is ironic when reading the other reviews with a low rating. I rarely have used this program, but I only have it because I found a list on the internet of the supposedly preferred different converters from different companies and trying many of them, this one, "Any Video Converter" was the only one that came close to what was being advertised as well as not (so it seems) putting some code on my computer that has it either taking over some things I do or just following me everywhere, a code that cannot be found nor therefore deleted. So the only thing I can say at this time is that maybe our different downloaded applications on our individual machines are somehow giving us different results? I downloaded this months ago so "when I used it" as asked in this review cannot be accurately answered. Even so, with my own experience, I give this 4 Stars. April 22, 2024/Monday

Pretty good convertor

Pretty good convertor, definitely can't beat the price. Best around.

Alas, left me with a disappointment..

The older version of the software, v 7.0.7, that was released in 2020, was a super easy and convenient program for converting many different video and audio formats. Alas, after a very short test of the new version, I was left with a deep disappointment. The free version is NOT really free. Only the download is free. After converting 2 audio CD tracks to MP3, the program stops working completely. A window pops out asking for upgrade. Ironically, there's a button that says "continue free" but that does not work - the popped up window stays put, asking you to upgrade. This software doesn't work the way it used to. Instead, I'm using NCH software now, which is not as heavy (only several MBs)..

AVC Pro Not Working

After downloading and installing the file the Software is not running and not showing any interface. THERE ARE 100s OF BUGS, ANVSOFT IS REQUESTING FOR 4 AND 5 STAR AND GIVING 1 MONTH FREE LICENSE. HOW CAN YOU EVEN TRUST THE TRUSTPILOT ???

Always, I enjoy this Any Video Converter software. It's so user-friendly and has all the features I need to easily convert my videos to different formats. I like the versatility and the options that are there.I have Any Video Converter Free and Any Video Converter Ultimate.I would very much like to get a license so I could make full use of Any Video Converter Ultimate. Convert your video into a format that meets your requirement.

I have been using the "Any Video Converter" complimentary software for many years, already. As I create more and more video content or share video content in all kinds of formats, I find that an upgrade of the free AVC to a higher level was due. Thus, I finally decided to try out their AVC Ultimate. I am not disappointed! The Ultimate offer a premium and unlimited set of options to create and convert between various video formats easily. No fussing around. Just load and convert, as required. You are ready to use the converted video format in no time! Certainly, there are many other options and features to try out. But, suffice to say that, "If you wish to play around with video formats for differing purposes and requirements, this is the "better" software for the job".

AVC is a useless, trendy modern app.

I have been using AVC for a very long time. I found it to be very useful BUT when I installed the new version, I found it to be far too complicated - couldn't even begin to use it as had done previously so I uninstalled it. Good bye AVC. I'm off to another, better video editor.

j'ai acheté any video converter…

j'ai acheté any video converter ultimate et je suis tres decu.....le logiciel ne reconnait pas le graveur dvd,ou il y a un dvd pret a graver.... ca m'indique ''aucun disque....de plus s'il y est indiqué ( a de rare occasion) qu'il y a un disque apres la conversion du fichier video ,le graveur ne demarre tout simplement pas......j'ai pourtant suivi les instructions.....decu

Not the program anyone is looking for!!!

I know i can get a free version of the product, if i write a review that is 4-5 stars bla bla bla, but yeah NOPE, it gets 2, and yeah not getting a free version, but if i do not think it deserves more than 2, what do i than need a free version for right? [EDIT 1] Any Video Converter Ultimate, 7.1.8, is the review about, thats the one they pushed on me for free version, if their never version 8.2 or what ever it was are better, do not know, it downloaded the 7.1.8 and did not know about the other one until after i made this review, and NO i do not feel like trying it. I pressed the VIDEO TOOL on their site, and this is what was their first choice. Untimate 7.1.8[/EDIT] [Edit 2] As i mentioned this was for the 7.xx version, and NOT the 8.xx, or 9.xx that will come out, i did not even know that the version i tested was not the newest, i presume you do not direct people to a older version, but the newest. so again this was for the 7.xx, the changes made i n 8 or the upcomming 9, i do not know if my rating reflect them still, again i did not test them. If i press Video tools on their site, and they than give me a OLD 7.xx version, that's still on them, there for i stand by my review, since i did state in the "EDIT 1" that it was for a older version. (the site SHOULD have reflected that in a text, v.7.xx (Older version) or some like that, but it is still the FIRST link you get, you have to look specific for the 8.xx version, which i did not do, and was not obvious to me that they would suggest older, rather than a newer improved version.. Here is why. --------------------------- First startup it looks like any other sorry cheap designed programs, sure it got what every other ones have, but thats just lazy design, design i already saw in like 2010+ Sure design is not everything, but the design is where the user is at, so it needs to be easy to navigate, easy on the eyes... well just not like this, get up 2 date. Than its the large amount of templates, omg why? Normal users do not need this, you could make a wizard, ask first time if they want to run the wizard, finding out what the user want with the program, is it used for home videoes, is it for mobile, YouTube, Insta... so many things can be done, that does not overload the users with the list of 200+ formats. The user can than just go to the settings and toggle on show every thing, or a checker at the list... what ever, anything is better than this. Ah well i find some videoes i want to test, finding the Customized MP4 Movie on the huge list, i set it to Video Size ORIGINAL. Quality NORMAL Under Video Options, i pick x265, video Bitrate 2000.... and press convert now! After the first video was done i look in the folder, the file size was larger than the original one, and the bit rate went to 17349kbps lol so it ignored everything i picked, i looked at the place where the Convert Now is, because thats where the STOP convert should be right, but yeah NOPE. I than found the square red stop icon on the video, and OMG it just ONLY stops that one video, but that was ok, because the app crashed when i pressed nr 2 YAKES Well starting it up again, yeah the list was cleared out, the settings i had made was gone, found no way to save a template for next time, so i went and pressed the same options as before, oh holy moly, it saved the settings under the SAME name, so just overwrite the default settings on that one, haha so no turning back to original if you later want YAKES... Well i put in some more videoes, and looked around, oh i found the stop converting button in the menu, hidden away, again WHY? And the program craashed again, but this time every settings from the converter template was reset to original yeah great, so cant save any template, cant rely on it will remember anything, only thing i so far have gotten out of it is 2 x crash. And if you convert and want to reconvert the same file again, you have to remove them from the list and add again, or find the little check mark and press it... Yeah the review already got to long, and i could say 5000 more lines, and i still would not be done, but think every one got the idea by now. It lacks so many things, design is bad, it is just not something one would think off is a final product, but yet it is Version 7.1.8, even their Copy right say 2006-2021, so no new product have come out since i presume, so abandoned, given up on? Or just figured that they have to start over? Not the program anyone is looking for!!!

The best converter of several I have tried

I have used AVC pro for a couple of years. I have found it extremely useful for converting .wav sound files created with "Audacity" to .mp3 files which reduces the file size. I have also found it extremely useful for converting video to MP4 format which i use in PowerPoint presentations for talks and lectures I give. It took a little while to learn how to use it and select the correct conversion options as for me the display was not immediately clear on what to do. I create sound effects for our village Pantomime and AVC is really invaluable in enabling me to convert various formats to mp3 to run in the specific sound effects programme we use for the Show. I highly recommend AVC software.

Simply does not work as intended.

I've used several other video converters in the past and none of them failed to convert from .mkv to .mp4, even with a free version. Followed the online tutorials in case the rudimentary skills needed to figure this thing out were somehow not enough. This program recognizes the videos, and can play them, so you would think Any Video Converter would be able to at least list a reason besides the "AVC failed to convert...try again later" message. Not shelling out money for the full version if this is what I can expect. The company offers a free license for a positive review of 4 or 5 so consider this when reading any of the overwhelmingly excellent remarks.

My experience with Any Video Converter

My experience with Any Video Converter has been great. I have been able to pull videos from anywhere and use them in my work. The only drawback is that the free version is too limited to be helpful. The Pro version is awesome.

Awesome software....

This program was very easy to setup and use. Simple to understand. My wife has even used it and she is it not a tech-savvy person. I like the many different conversion options available. (we use MP4-MP3 conversions the most) The only issues we had is every time we start the program, it would pop-up telling us a new version is available. This would happen even after we unchecked the check for new version option. However recently it stopped doing that when starting the program. Guess it was a weird random bug that corrected itself. So removing one star just for that annoyance. But overall this is a great program, even my son downloaded and tried it... though he's not using it now as he dropped his laptop and it needs to be replaced. I have also told several friends about this app. Definitely looking forward to new features in the future. Thank you!!
