Not the program anyone is looking for!!!
I know i can get a free version of the product, if i write a review that is 4-5 stars bla bla bla, but yeah NOPE, it gets 2, and yeah not getting a free version, but if i do not think it deserves more than 2, what do i than need a free version for right? [EDIT 1] Any Video Converter Ultimate, 7.1.8, is the review about, thats the one they pushed on me for free version, if their never version 8.2 or what ever it was are better, do not know, it downloaded the 7.1.8 and did not know about the other one until after i made this review, and NO i do not feel like trying it. I pressed the VIDEO TOOL on their site, and this is what was their first choice. Untimate 7.1.8[/EDIT] [Edit 2] As i mentioned this was for the 7.xx version, and NOT the 8.xx, or 9.xx that will come out, i did not even know that the version i tested was not the newest, i presume you do not direct people to a older version, but the newest. so again this was for the 7.xx, the changes made i n 8 or the upcomming 9, i do not know if my rating reflect them still, again i did not test them. If i press Video tools on their site, and they than give me a OLD 7.xx version, that's still on them, there for i stand by my review, since i did state in the "EDIT 1" that it was for a older version. (the site SHOULD have reflected that in a text, v.7.xx (Older version) or some like that, but it is still the FIRST link you get, you have to look specific for the 8.xx version, which i did not do, and was not obvious to me that they would suggest older, rather than a newer improved version.. Here is why. --------------------------- First startup it looks like any other sorry cheap designed programs, sure it got what every other ones have, but thats just lazy design, design i already saw in like 2010+ Sure design is not everything, but the design is where the user is at, so it needs to be easy to navigate, easy on the eyes... well just not like this, get up 2 date. Than its the large amount of templates, omg why? Normal users do not need this, you could make a wizard, ask first time if they want to run the wizard, finding out what the user want with the program, is it used for home videoes, is it for mobile, YouTube, Insta... so many things can be done, that does not overload the users with the list of 200+ formats. The user can than just go to the settings and toggle on show every thing, or a checker at the list... what ever, anything is better than this. Ah well i find some videoes i want to test, finding the Customized MP4 Movie on the huge list, i set it to Video Size ORIGINAL. Quality NORMAL Under Video Options, i pick x265, video Bitrate 2000.... and press convert now! After the first video was done i look in the folder, the file size was larger than the original one, and the bit rate went to 17349kbps lol so it ignored everything i picked, i looked at the place where the Convert Now is, because thats where the STOP convert should be right, but yeah NOPE. I than found the square red stop icon on the video, and OMG it just ONLY stops that one video, but that was ok, because the app crashed when i pressed nr 2 YAKES Well starting it up again, yeah the list was cleared out, the settings i had made was gone, found no way to save a template for next time, so i went and pressed the same options as before, oh holy moly, it saved the settings under the SAME name, so just overwrite the default settings on that one, haha so no turning back to original if you later want YAKES... Well i put in some more videoes, and looked around, oh i found the stop converting button in the menu, hidden away, again WHY? And the program craashed again, but this time every settings from the converter template was reset to original yeah great, so cant save any template, cant rely on it will remember anything, only thing i so far have gotten out of it is 2 x crash. And if you convert and want to reconvert the same file again, you have to remove them from the list and add again, or find the little check mark and press it... Yeah the review already got to long, and i could say 5000 more lines, and i still would not be done, but think every one got the idea by now. It lacks so many things, design is bad, it is just not something one would think off is a final product, but yet it is Version 7.1.8, even their Copy right say 2006-2021, so no new product have come out since i presume, so abandoned, given up on? Or just figured that they have to start over? Not the program anyone is looking for!!!
