I paid $5.99 for a 7-day trial on beenverified.com. However, they subsequently started charging me $35.77 every month without my authorization. I wrote to them to dispute this charge, but I have not yet received a response.

Additionally, upon further review, it appears we did not receive a request to cancel prior to the end of the trial. In that event, we tried to automatically renewed your service to the monthly subscription of $32.89 USD but we were unable to bill the card on file.

They make you spend a $1 to access a single report. You don't think much of it when you sign up as they don't mention in clear writing that it's a 7-day trial and that you'll be charged $35 at the end of the trial.
It's not necessarily a clever scam as they're just taking advantage of the fact that most people aren't going to read the fine print in the agreement terms. It's obviously very shady and really should be illegal but I suppose it's my fault for not reading the whole agreement.
I emailed them 3 times about a refund but haven't heard back and I'm not expecting a refund as this is practically their bread and butter in how they make money as a company. They said that they cancelled my account so there better be no more future charges. A lesson learned on my part.
I look forward to the automated damage control message of theirs in my reply as everyone else has gotten.

Basically, I've had the same bad experience as most people who have reported here. I thought i was paying for a onetime service but only found out it was a subscription that I didn't sign up for when I was billed for $32 last month. I complained then but I was billed again this month. They have supposedly stopped their fraud now but I have removed all possibility of them receiving payment through PayPal.

I would give negative stars if I could……
I would give negative stars if I could… first day trick you by making it seem like they can find information by looking up a number and then you pay and they give you no information pretty much for what you’re looking for.. it tells you it’s one dollar a month and I instantly canceled the subscription but they still tried to charge me $33. Two days later.. this is a scam bullshit website do not trust them don’t use it.. you can literally find anything they can find on Google. Screw beenverified

Unfair Deduction- Tricked Subscription
These guys have taken funds out of my account for a service I did not subscribe for. I did a short subscription of $1 for 7 days, but now I'm seeing them deducting $33.88 without my approval and without any communication about an extension. I did not want to continue receiving their service and even canceled my account! I need my funds refunded.

Where the dealerships would list a vin number as clean title, , no accidents, one owner...Been Verified found liens, multiple owners, recalls and frame damage. It wasn't perfect but super close.
