The staff was excellent, Amy and Noah answered all my questions. Its great to have a local Company that knows the houses and locations. The Cabins are never misrepresented. Just recently rent a home in Sarasota, web site said the house had 4 full Bathrooms, only had 2. Was told it was enough Bathrooms and wouldn't affect my stay for 8 people. Can't wait for my summer visit.

This was a wonderful cabin in a great location. We had a few issues that kept it from being a 5 star. We were greeted with rotten pumpkins to start. The home truly is cozy and met all of our needs. The beds were great! There was a problem with the kitchen sink not draining well. We reported this and they said it would be addressed asap. Which it was. However, the maintenance man came without us knowing, (no text, call or even email) so when we got home there was someone inside the house. We had no way of knowing who this was. He had nothing to identify him as a maintenance man. We thought someone had broken in. This was our main problem with this experience and sadly it is what we remember as it was pretty unnerving. I do hope the rental property will do things differently in the future. All of that said, we really did enjoy the home. And I would rent it again.

Excellent company to work with!

Home conveniently located

Large home, convenient to Boone. Very nice view of Grandfather Mountain. During our week long stay, we did not have a working gas fireplace. Check to be sure it is repaired. There was also a problem with the deck railings on the top floor and they were marked with yellow caution tape to warn people not to lean on them. As others have said, could use larger TV in Den, and utensils could be updated in the kitchen. Master bedroom would benefit from some comfortable seating for reading in a location away from the main activity area on the top floor. We felt it was located well for Boone and Blowing Rock access. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was great

Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was great. Everything at the Bear Valley cabin was clean, everything worked and was in place. BRMR stayed in touch with us before, during, and at the end of our stay. Can't ask for a better property management company.

Furniture was very old non functional and uncomfortable. Kitchen sink was under repair and water pressure was 15% of what it should have been. Hot tub was nice, all else adequate. Would not stay there again nor recommend.

Blue Ridge is always easy to work with. I have been renting from them for years. They are a much better option than other companies. You get one on one help . They are very responsive and quick to help should there be any issues. I highly recommend.

Blackberry Hill 10/10

The house, amenities and location were fantastic!! The drive to Blowing Rock is only a few minutes from the house! Beautiful views from the house and deck with plenty of space for our family inside and out! The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and the house was super clean! I highly recommend the Blackberry Hill property based on all of the factors above and responsiveness of the BRMR staff, great communication!!

Fun at a "A Family Tradition"

The cabin was beautiful, clean and spacious. Fit our holiday gathering of 8 adults and three dogs perfectly. We especially enjoyed the open kitchen which made holiday cooking easy even with several cooks cooking at once. We were so grateful for the expansive pots and pans, and serving ware that was available for our Thanksgiving feast. The location was central to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather mountain and Banner Elk- which made our holiday hikes easy. Although only a few miles off 105, the cabin felt miles away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and was in a quiet neighborhood. The only down side was that the hot tub was not working properly which we were notified on the day of check in which was disappointing, but the pool table was a big hit! We would absolutely rent this cabin again in the future!

Very comfortable cabin, and better with just a few adjustments…

Very comfortable and well thought out and stocked 3 story cabin in Valle Crucis. Great location for a mountain stay in northwestern NC. Loved the 2 sets of leather/leather-like sofas and love seat ALL with full reclining capability for perfect maxi-sized TV viewing next to wood-burning fireplace. Master bedroom was hunormous. A real PLUS with extremely well functioning Levolor comb-horizontal blinds. The walking closet was also beyond sufficiently large. The master shower was extremely spacious with shower being very enjoyable with stationary as well as sprayer arm and a wrap-around built-in tiled seat. Would definitely be much better -especially during winter/cooler months- if it had a glass shower door vs. a shower curtain. Same is true for basement bedroom with similar smaller tiled shower that also had curtain vs. glass door. Basement area was plenty useful with shuffleboard/stone-curling table and wet-bar area. The dinning table on the main floor, although made from remarkably beautiful wood and I highly glossy finish and one of a kind, could use being bigger to accommodate as many people as the cabin itself has room for. Be VERY CAREFUL with the last, 3 or 4 bottom, wider, non-connected to the blue-painted bannister guardrails of the outside stairs leading to the front door on the 2nd floor from the car parking level. Those irregularly wide steps could most certainly be much better marked-off with caution/all-day reflective tape as they completely blend-in with the steps/bushes next to them as compared to the actual stairs especially as it (start of the bannister) is where a semicircular rubber mat sits giving the distinct impression that is where those steps end/begin. Took a pretty bad tumble on those last wider steps resulting in much less activity during our Thanksgiving week than we’d planned. Otherwise, all-in-all, this is a very good cabin and one which we’d reconsider for future trips (no pun intended.) 😉

The house was beautiful

The house was beautiful! Plenty of room for a family of 8. Kitchen had everything you would ever need. Beds were comfortable. Kids enjoyed the games that were in the bedroom/den. Easy flat area for parking. One of our favorites!
