Dont use this service, they open your package and dont ship to you the entire content of it. And with Borderlinx fees almost equal to your content value...ridiculous. order:15364912

Dear Mathieu, Firstly, its unfortunate to hear that you received a partial order. At Borderlinx, we ensure professionalism & transparency. As such, instances of missing/lost items are very marginal. We've received shoes inside your package and accordingly same information was updated to your account for your reference. We strongly believe the seller split the order and shipped them two different tracking numbers. We advise you to coordinate with seller in this regard. We open all parcels for inspection when we receive them. This is to ensure no illegal, restricted items are shipped- to ensure the items are not damaged etc. and most importantly to recover the seller invoice so we could update all the details of the parcel to your Borderlinx account. Please note that we only open the outer box and will then reseal it. Additionally, please be advised that all air cargo's consider both the size and weight of the package when calculating the shipping cost. As such, your package being a shoe box, inside another protective outer box, had a higher volumetric weight and was charged accordingly. We understand it can be difficult to understand how international freight charges are calculated. That is why we provide an online cost calculator to our customers to estimate the total landing cost and plan their shopping accordingly. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. So far, so good.
Very easy to use, convenient and quick. I am however slightly annoyed by the methods used to check parcels as one of my items was close to being damaged. No significant damage occurred though and I hope that this is an isolated incident.

Expensive but gets the job done
Misleading local partner options given; poor repacking service
Borderlinx account offers options of local providers, but whichever you choose, the expensive DHL Express gets used in the end, both internationally AND locally. So, if you ship something small, the cost will be quite prohibitive. The customer support is only provided via live chat and the support person refuses to acknowledge the problem of misleading the customers by providing an option to choose the local partner which is then not used in the end. If this option was not given, I wouldn't have created an account as I only needed to ship a small and inexpensive letter so obviously DHL is an overkill for that and I would get overcharged compared to sending the letter via regular mail which would get handled by the local regular mail as well. Furthermore, the original letter contained a small transparent bag of spare screws for a laptop. This small bag was apparently cut open at the corner and checked by Borderlinx upon receipt for whatever reason and they didn't bother to close it back so when the letter was received and opened to retrieve the bag of screws, the screws were spread out outside of the original bag and ended up on the floor. The repacking service consisted of opening the original letter and the small transparent plastic bag and then resealing and reusing the letter, but not the small bag. Not sure if I'd risk sending something valuable through this repacking service.
