The cakes are very delicious with attention to detail. Love the Honey Cake it is my new favourite.

The attractive appearance of the Caffe Concerto in Leeds along with the varied choice on the menu appealed to me and were the deciding factors in booking this venue for a pre Christmas family 'get-together'. However, what a disappointment to say the least! I booked the table for 18:45 (there were tables available for later). When we arrived we were greeted and shown to our table but that is were the customer service ended. We were given menus and left at least 20 minutes before I had to ask if we could order drinks, these arrived another 15 minutes later after again asking. I will add at this point that the restaurant was less than 40% full. Following a further 20 minutes, I asked if someone could take our food order and at this point we were asked if we required the starters bringing at the same time as our main courses or before (I haven't been asked this before unless dining at a street food restaurant. We asked for our starters to be served before our main courses. Our order was; starters - Chicken Liver Pate, Brushchetta, Main Courses - Lobster Ravioli, Tagliatelle King Prawn, Spaghetti Bolognese. Following a further 30 minute wait, I asked if our food would be arriving at our table soon, the starters were then brought to our table. However, when the starters were placed on our table we were informed that we would have to have our main courses at the same time as the kitchen would be closing. We explained that we didn't want all of our food on the table at the same time as the main course would be cold by the time we had finished our starters, that is also not what we requested when asked earlier. We were then informed that if we didn't have our main courses now we would not get them at all as the kitchen would be closing. We told the waitress that as we had asked for our starters serving before the main courses and that the delay in both ordering and receiving our food was not our fault, we would like to eat our starters first. Another person came over who, I can only assume, was a manager and explained that they only had one chef today and he was closing the kitchen. I asked why this wasn't explained to us at the offset and why then was there such a delay with service, in fact we didn't receive any service unless we had to ask for it? The restaurant wasn't busy and there were sufficient serving staff to more than cover the tables that were occupied. All the manager could do was apologise, she had no justification for the poor service. We finished our starters, our main courses were brought to our table however, two were cold. One was sent back and a replacement was refused. I cannot understand why a restaurant in such a beautiful location can get away with such dire service standards, I can only assume that they rely on passing trade and not returning customers. This may be their business plan however, this will not make for long term success. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Me and a friend visited last Saturday in leeds with our daughters we booked a table for lunch. Upon arrival we were told they didn’t have our booking so glad she kept the email confirming our table, so we had to wait to be seated. I was disappointed with the food which was ok for sandwiches and chips but nothing special, my daughter had to send her food back as it tasted awful, my goddaughters order they got wrong so this had to be sent back also. The burger looked light a birdseye frozen burger and looked dreadful with the burger far too big for the bun it was in. So whilst we were out for lunch together this wasn’t the case eating separately. We had to ask for condiments, re ask for drinks. In all a poor impression of what looks like a fantastic place to be. We won’t be returning and left without ordering a dessert and minus a tip.

Tasteless, expensive food and weak coffee. This is my second time trying this place. The first time the cake was stale and this time so was the cinnamon bun. Chocolate eclair was so tasteless we didn’t finish it. Coffee very weak too. Never again!
I was in the area for work, and having had such a lovely experience the last time I came (only a month ago) I thought I’d pop in for a spot of lunch in between meetings. Vito was the ultimate host as were the rest of the team. The food was lovely just as before. I feel I may be becoming a regular. 🤩

Took me a while to post a review. I purchased a strawberry gateaux for delivery on my mum's birthday. The cake looked nicely decorated - it had glazed strawberries on top which looked good, but on tasting the cake, i found it was made from the cheapest ingredients. It tasted mass produced. I had a close look at the ingredients list on their website and they say it is made with fresh cream, however, it is whipped cream with sugar like the stuff you get in a can. Also,the vanilla sponge has a lot of E additives, so my concerns are correct. If you think you are ordering quality, you are not. No issues with ordering or delivery - this was great -but cake was not good. You won't get the patisserie experence, freshness or authenticity -just an approximation of it.
After Harrods reluctantly popped into the Knightsbridge branch at my wife's insistence. This was because last time (I did not leave a review, lucky for CC) the service was slow and terrible - we felt ignored. There were staff around but they were busy with God knows what and not serving and very slow, and they were not busy, there were many empty tables. Anyhow, sat down and shortly after that 'Rustem G' came over and took care of us. He was polite, quick and helpful from the word go. We also tipped before we left as the service was good. I just wish they would all be like Rustem, thank you.

Yesterday, 24/10/25, I took my wife to a theatre show in Covent Garden as it's her birthday this weekend and she hasn't been in good health for the last few years and I wanted to treat her, she absolutely loves the theatre. We arrived a couple of hours early so she fancied a coffee and a piece of cake. As we were walking up St Martin's Lane we saw Caffe Concerto, a glance through the window revealed some very nice looking cakes so we thought we'd give the place a try. The disappointment was instant, we weren't greeted with a friendly "hello", in fact we weren't greeted at all, the girl at the front of house just marched us off to a table and when my wife asked where the toilets are the girl just abruptly pointed toward the sky! Now the girl didn't know about my wife's health problems, but her attitude was absolutely disgraceful, she treated us like something nasty she had stepped in, then off she went without a friendly glance, smile or a word!! Needless to say our backsides didn't even meet the chairs, it was outrageous behaviour from this girl so we left immediately and found a friendly, welcoming face in Coffee Island nearby. My wife and I are in our fifties, so we're not that old, but we do expect good manners and a friendly welcoming reception when we go anywhere! In summary, the girl in Caffe Concerto was unwelcoming, unfriendly and down right rude! We WILL NOT recommend this establishment to anyone, we will recommend it to be avoided, the customer service is absolutely appalling, in fact the whole place had no warmth, no real welcoming ambience. Remember folks; avoid Caffe Concerto Covent Garden, there are nicer, friendlier places to enjoy a coffee.
After visiting Harrods we popped into the Knightsbridge branch. After looking in the window we were tempted with the cakes available. We were shown to our table quickly but that is where the speed ended. We ordered 2 teas and 1 scone and 1 slice cake. We were given our scones which were warm and then after 8 mins our teas arrived and we had to ask for the cake(by this time the scones were no longer warm). After we finished we asked for the bill after 10 mins we asked again as we hadn't received it. Overall the venue is lovely and the food is nice, but on this occassion the service was slow. There were plenty of empty tables too.

Sooo yummy i had seafood pasta and coffee eclair + strawberry tart with creme and it was so good. Also Yassin the server was really on it and sweet! He gave us a free macaroon to try :)
