Good work by Claims Consortium
Claims Consortium handled the various services and trades which were needed to make repairs and redecoration following a water leak taking out two bedrooms. Their service took out all the stress of me making the arrangements myself, and especially in lining up the services to follow one after the other. It took time, but I am more than pleased with the result, and am glad I used them. It was easy to contact them when I needed to, and they were swift to respond, always understanding what I needed, and very sympathetic. It was a first class service. My insurer, who used Claims Consortium, was also very helpful when I needed to contact them, and I can't speak more highly of them both. The insurer was Ageas, by the way, from whom I obtained cover via Post Office insurance (who evidently do some things well).
My mains water supply (under my driveway) was leaking as advised by the water board in December 2024. I decided to go via insurance thinking it would be more thorough than patch fix and quicker service to rectify BUT March 2005 and whilst the leak is finally fixed I still have no driveway - as it’s now been assigned to someone else to reinstate by drive and the digger has yet to be collected. As well as going without a driveway (in a busy street by a school) it was an utter mess with buckets of rubble covering holes for months on end so was a little dangerous considering I live next to a school.
I was appointed a provider that were good BUT they had to visit 5 times. The issue was not with the provider as such but the duration as in between each visit needed a report and approval to then do different works (1 man, then two men, then moling did not work, then finally a digger approach with whole new pipe), then the new internal entry was leaking.
Anyway, surely they could have just approved a two man job upfront and plan for the worse (new pipe) , as the providers have seen these sorts of issues many times when the job seems to be bigger than just one area. My nominate provider assured me they sent the reports within 24 hours of each visit but there was always at least a two week duration between every visit - sometimes more.
The online portal was useless in giving me updates and even when I messaged I got the reviewing the report response.
The small puddle of water in our lounge turned into a major leak which warranted the removal of our existing floor and sub flooring. It was a massive undertaking involving several agencies including plumbers, insurers, builders, removal companies, decorators etc.
CCG throughout the whole process were in regular contact and always available to answer questions and to coordinate workers.
The team from Insurefix were exemplary in their professionalism and attention to detail. They made every effort to minimise the impact of such a dirty and protracted undertaking.
Overal we are very pleased with the support that we received from everyone involved.

REALLY BAD
REALLY BAD. Apart from my original loss adjuster that cam to my home in October 2024. They are totally useless and unhelpful. Read my review on Home protect who are just as unprofessional (once you get past the first response on the phone, (if you get through!))

Not Impressed with this company
Andrew Wallace - Water damage to property
This company is employed by insurance companies to arrange/oversee works. 18 months after the incident (December 22) the works on my property were still incomplete leaving my home without running water or heating. My Insurance company gave me the go ahead to appoint a replacement company to finish off the outstanding plumbing works, which I did, 6 months later the works were completed and I was finally able to move back home after 2 years. I paid for the outstanding work and was told that this would be reimbursed, I am still waiting for the final work to be paid, my emails are not being responded to.
Over the period of 2 years there has been 5 loss adjusters who were given my claim to deal with. I am a registered disabled man who for 2 years has had to live with the stress of this company’s lack of professionalism and empathy to my situation.,
Please avoid this company if your insurance company appoint them to manage your claim.
Actual claim date 21st December 2022

This company is employed by insurance…
This company is employed by insurance companies to carry out works, works that are meant to be completed professionally and on time . Four months later and works are incomplete due to inadequacy and shoddy workmenship and terrible communication. Insurance companies should be made aware that this company is unable to carry out their promise of professional workman ship and should avoid them . They are playing with an 89 year old woman who is widowed mental health who is having to live in a hotel room . Please avoid this company at all costs if your insurance company recommend them to carry out works refuse to have them any where near your property .

Avoid this company at all costs!
My Nan had to move out of her bungalow due to a flood. This was in October… it’s now February and this company has made empty promise after empty promise and we find out this week …. No work has even started! Check out their google reviews as how they have 4 stars on here is beyond me! The mental suffering they are causing is awful , my Nan is 89 years old and just wants to go home!!
They need looking into by the FCA as they should not even be allowed to be trading!

Slow comms, delayed payments (Hastings Motor)
They are the 3rd party dealing with Hastings Motor claims. Slow responses and nit-picking reductions on the claim. They ask for 2 quotes, take the lowest, and then try to screw it down more.
Our wall has been destroyed by a Hastings insured driver - Claims Consortium are slow to respond to emails, try to reduce the claim for "non-standard blocks" that aren't available in Wickes! We live in a conservation area and all we want is for the wall to be re-instated as was. The Hastings client has had her car repaired with OEM parts, why should we accepted non-original, non-matching bricks?
Once the claim had been accepted they offer payment within 14 days - now on day 15 with tradesman having been paid the deposit and nearing completion, with no money received, so out of pocket!
- telephone conversation with Jay today to chase payment (Jay was great). Apparently CCG had sent the correct paperwork to Hastings, but it's Hastings that haven't paid up. Jay will chase them - watch this space!
Jay has chased and came back to me within minutes - Hastings is the delay and it will take another 3-5 days to receive payment!

Efficient and professional service from all parties involved. My telephone conversations with Tesco Insurance and then with Claims Consortium Group were friendly, courteous and reassuring, as were the Engineers who first of all assessed the problem and then carried out the work.
I pay for a comprehensive insurance policy that also covers 24 Emergency Cover. I was left without ANY running water in my property (and therefore no heating) for 12 days, throughout Christmas and the New Year period. People came and went, saying it would take two men, a whole day and specialist equipment to fix. No offer was made to give me a temporary water supply. In the end I had to leave home and stay with family in London. When someone came on the 5th January it took just 40 minutes to put a temporary fix on the problem - and the specialist equipment required was a spade!! I am a 76 year old widow and I don't think I should have been left without any water for twelve days.

Good afternoon,
I am sorry to hear that you have been without water for 12 days. Unfortunately CCG are not affiliated with Home Emergency, however if you would like to email us at [email protected] I would be happy to see if i can find their details for you and i can refer this to your insurer.
