Newbies to cruising
Having never been on a cruise before My husband and I were a little concerned it would not suit us.
However we were won over within the first day.
The Queen Mary 2 is a stately dignified art deco wonderful place to spend a week on. We felt relaxed and so well cared for by pleasant well mannered and happy staff. Nothing was too much trouble. It is not overly ostentatious but still retains an old world art deco charm. With a slight touch of stepping into an Agatha Christie scene. (I hasten to add without the murders). For us the best bits were some wonderfully interesting and informative lectures. We made good friends and conversations were stimulating and fun.
The food standard is superb!
We will definitely consider Cunard again for its high standards of excellence.
If you enjoy good food, stimulating conversations, fun, music and dancing, wonderful views and a sense of occasion. And also don't mind putting on your best ‘bib and tucker’ to enter into the spirit of the Gala Evenings. You will love the voyage on the Queen Mary 2, to New York.

The staff are the very best thing about…
The staff are the very best thing about Cunard. They are world class. The ships are beautiful and the seamanship of the highly professional captains make you feel safe. However, over the past few years, some standards have fallen. The room service is much worse. The pub grub has markedly declined. Much more expensive, worse quality supposedly improved by celebrity chef Michel Roux. He’s made the food much worse and chargeable. The buffet on Queen Victoria is terrible, bland and tasteless. Cost cutting across the board is so blatantly obvious and risks Cunard’s long held reputation. I guess that’s the price paid by having a ruthless new CEO from Carnival. Sad really.

Rip of Cunard
Recently been on Cunard Queen Anne . Whilst on board we booked another cruise for next year .. it was a good price plus they gave us 600 dollars per person on board spend .
All confirmed by email re invoice etc plus a low deposit paid .
When we arrived back home another email arrive from Cunard stating we only had 235 dollars per person on board spend ! Plus they wanted another £600 deposit . Couldn’t believe this so rang Cunard customer services up the lady on the phone kept going backwards and forwards to her bosses who wouldn’t budge .
We have come away absolutely fuming with Cunard so effectively has given us two invoices different on board credit etc plus one with an extra payment for the deposit .
Basically all they said was future cruise staff on ship made a mistake with discounts plus onboard credit .
Surely this can’t be right !!
When we go back on ship next year we will take invoices to pursers office and see what they say .
Underhand business from Cunard .
So advice to anyone booking a cruise on ship with Cunard watch out as they are scammers don’t book onboard !!

Crossing the Atlantic Ocean should only be done by ship.if time permits.
Traveling on QE2 elevates that experience in all aspects related to such a trip. This lady crossing was not my first an not my last.

We just got back from a week on the Victoria, we had only been back a month but got a fabulous deal so we did it again. But this time omg the entertainment was fabulous, we had the Cunard singers and dancers deliver 2 fabulous shows, the energy they give and passion was fabulous. We loved the flyrights, they gave 2 fabulous evenings of entertainment, the second evening they were in the ball room, people could dance whilst they were singing. It was just a shame for anybody sitting at the rear, as they wouldn’t see anything. I’d have swapped with the violinist and gave the flyrights the theatre as everybody loved them, the passion they gave was amazing. We had lovely food, met some lovely people. Only thing that did annoy us was on a sea day, people dont just want a sun lounger they want a chair in the shade too. So lots of towels on sun loungers and in the shaded areas. 1 morning this guy went off for 2 hours came back to find some body had moved his cap and towels, well he hit the roof, he didn’t let it lie, he carried on and carried on. It was pathetic.
They could do with a bigger shaded area as it gets so hot, not enough shaded areas.
But overall a fabulous cruise, just the flight back was 2 hours delayed due to the cases not getting on so fast and air traffic controls.
It hasn’t out us off though, we will be back next year.

We travel Cunard in premium cabins…
We travel Cunard in premium cabins because of its Heritage, we are top level loyalty members and was disappointed that the dress code particularly in the Queens Grill has slipped, jeans and scruffy t-shirts in the dining room in the evening? ( Non gala night) Come on you can do better than that. They make it clear enough in all the literature on board. Wish children could be seen and not heard especially at dinner it's very irritating.

depart on 9-12-26…and no group instructions but for $1000 you can.
We’re do depart on 9-12-26 transatlantic cruise to be told all fitness packages are sold out! 6 weeks till we depart. But they’ll upsell us to a $1000 fee for 16 minutes with a personal trainer daily! So they don’t have enough instructors for group but plenty of staff for $1000 fee. Such a negative experience and rip off by Cunard. Don’t walk run away from this ship . Arthur
Just returned home following 15 day cruise around the Baltics on the Queen Anne. Overall we had a really lovely time onboard. I would give the food 4 out of 5 as if you didn’t fancy the main dining room for your evening meal the artisan food hall was a bit lacking in choice of food and quality. The ship had ample sitting areas and never felt too busy . It’s our first time on Cunard and we were very impressed with both the embarkation process and disembarkation process all went very smoothly and the ship is overall lovely to be on.

The Queen Elizabeth is always a…
The Queen Elizabeth is always a pleasure to sail on. Each time I have had the opportunity to go on a vacation with her crew, I have been delighted. The crew are very focused on making their passengers feel special and important. They take the time to get to know your preferences and try to have it ready for you without having to ask. The design of the ship feels like stepping back into time with old luxury gleaming from every corner. I will be sailing with Cunard again.

Alaska for 11 nights was just the ticket
Alaska for 11 nights was just the ticket for my first cruise. Lots covered, and lots of variety in a land that is, as the license plate says, The Final Frontier.
Service is the trademark of Cunard and certainly those who went were sure to be satisfied by the professionalism both on view and behind the scenes. The whole ship from the bridge out is a very well-oiled machine to the benefit of passengers.

Loved my time on Queen Victoria. The food, entertainment and activities are superb. Went to both shows as part of their insights programme - very interesting. And the show Come From Away was fabulous ! I love that Cunard keep the high standards re dress code - I love dressing up for dinner.
Spoke with Toni in US on Friday midafternoon for help with our booking. I had a very negative experience. Toni tells mw system is down. My further comments were again repeat met by " system is down. What can I do? go to " Cunard.com came the ropy ! Unreal All this money for pathetic support.
