It was the worst experience of my life, I bought a table, it is EXTREMELY difficult to contact anyone, you can't call them, you speak with some stupid AI bot that cannot help you at all. After 2 months of waiting I wanted to follow up and they have given me a voucher, what? How can i use a voucher in a company that doesnt even exist? It's a total scam and I won't leave it like this. Dont you ever try to buy anything from them. I dont have money and the product. A THEFT!

Too late

I ordered napkins with the bride and grooms names and the date of the wedding. Kept chasing the order only to be told that the order was delayed - until after the wedding. I had two days to order new printed napkins. The order finally arrived too late of course but no way of getting a refund. Easier to get hold of the Pope I think. So disappointed. I will not use Etsy again.

If there was a 0 star option would be appropriate. Several items have been charged in advance, and expected to be delivered for many days. Suddenly an email arrives with bo justification that the order has been cancelled and a refund was issued. Money should not be taken if the product cannot reach the customer. That is wrong in all levels of understanding. The worse is wait for the refund to be reinstated when the money is taken from the client straight away. I am posting here one order but this happened several times and I am upset. I do not trust Etsy as a reliable and reputable website to purchase anything. I make etsy responsible for this. It is etsy portal being used to scam customers. That is wrong!

Unable to Place Order with Credit Card

I recently ordered an item without any issue. I am now unable to sign in and if I attempt to order using my personal info it states my credit cards are not valid. I know they are not. I am surprised there is absolutely no phone line to contact a human for assistance. I love this website but I guess I will learn to live without it

I have ordered various items on Etsy. Each time I was very disappointed with what I received - the `Italian?` handbags were of very poor quality and the last one I would not even look at if they sold it for a dollar at Woolworths - it wasn`t even leather, although that`s what they labelled it as. The dress I ordered was of equally poor quality and although they assured returns would be accepted - it wasn`t. I ordered a pack of 4 fairy lights - I only received one. Etsy seems to be in the hands of unauthorised scam dealers. I will never buy though Etsy again.

I am extremely disappointed with Etsy. I have made more than 2,200 sales on Etsy, yet when a customer simply misunderstands how a product works, Etsy expects the seller to absorb the cost. In my case, they decided to issue a full refund and deducted the money directly from my account without a fair discussion. What makes it even more frustrating is that it’s almost impossible to speak to a real person. You end up communicating with automated responses, and there is no meaningful way to explain your side or appeal the decision. It feels like Etsy makes a decision, takes your money, and that’s the end of it. As a seller, this leaves you feeling completely unsupported and unprotected. Based on my experience, I would not recommend investing your time and energy into building a business on Etsy. There are better platforms where sellers are treated more fairly.

I want to warn new Etsy sellers about my recent experience with Etsy Pattern. On the same day I opened my Etsy seller account, I decided to try Etsy Pattern to create a website. Unfortunately, I was immediately met with error messages stating that the site was not secure and could not be opened. As the service wasn't working, I cancelled my Pattern subscription that very same day and also emailed Etsy to let them know. Despite cancelling immediately, I was charged £21.94 within 2 days for a domain. For almost a week, I have spoken with several Etsy support agents trying to resolve the issue. I was eventually told that I would receive a refund, but only after making my first sale on Etsy. I find this policy difficult to understand. A refund for a charge relating to a cancelled service should not, in my opinion, depend on whether a new seller has made a sale. This has been a frustrating introduction to selling on Etsy and has left me disappointed with both the service and the way the issue is being currently handled. I hope Etsy reviews this process so that new sellers don't have the same experience. I will come back and update the public on the outcome each week.

They do a great job with eco friendly…

They do a great job with eco friendly initatives like carbon offsetting (paying for the gas necessary to ship your items). They are actually a LEADER in eco friendly stuff, though I'm not sure how much of it is "greenwashing"(making the website appear ecofriendly when it's actually not)... I had an issue with my account being frozen a few years ago and the customer service was useless. But it seems like they've improved since then and actually respond to emails now. I would recommend for anyone that likes to purchase from small businesses. Remember, it's always best to buy local!!! Would recommend. Good delivery service and consistent good customer experience.

ETSY INCOMPETENT FOOLS SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNT FOR NO REASON

Etsy Support, I received a notice today alleging that my shop violated Etsy policy and that I was permanently suspended. I have already filed an appeal under ID 26328899. The allegation is false, unsupported, and unacceptable. My shop has two legitimate sales, one active listing, and a $25 daily advertising budget that I personally authorized. I have also executed external promotional operations through professional public relations agencies distributing press releases to national media outlets. Every action taken has been lawful, transparent, and compliant. This suspension was imposed precisely as my visibility increased — a timing that is neither accidental nor defensible. It is unjust, predatory, and procedurally improper. I am issuing a direct order: this suspension is to be removed immediately. Furthermore, failure to comply will result in Etsy forfeiting substantial fee-based revenue, as my product is priced at $50,000, and your fee system would have directly benefited from every sale. If Etsy chooses to maintain this frivolous suspension, I will redirect my business operations to Shopify and/or Stripe without hesitation. Let this be clearly understood: this must never occur again, especially at the moment I am making sales or gaining visibility. Any repetition of this misconduct will result in immediate legal action to protect my business, my revenue, and my rights. Also, I selected Greater Visibility in Etsy Ads. You will explain why I am being punished for paying for a legitimate feature that you placed on your own platform. The fact that I am being penalized for using an authorized advertising tool is unacceptable, irrational, and indicative of internal incompetence. This must be corrected immediately. Avoid this seller

On Wednesday 22nd July 2026 I purchased a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV427E Hi 8 Pal Camcorder for $384.85 from a seller in the UK. On Tuesday 28th July 2026 the seller promised me I would receive the Camcorder by Friday 31st July 2026. On Friday 31st August 20026 I never received it because it came on Monday 3rd August 2026. I wouldn't recommend buying from this seller because he lies to this buyers.

Etsy was truly a great place to support and buy wonderfully unique products created by exceedingly talented individuals. That still exists. However, the site is polluted with scams, drop-shippers and predators preying on customers. I wish the best for Etsy; it has the potential to be an amazing platform. Please clean up your site to save yourself and the talented craftsmen who need a trusted site to reach their audience. Please stop using AI to resolve customer disputes with sellers. It is truly not fair to either party.

Suspend my BUYER ONLY account over $5 legit purchase.

Suspended my account that is used for almost 10 years with ZERO dispute over a $5 order purchase that I made when I traveled aboard but shipping to EXACTLY THE SAME ADDRESS that I always use, which is BEYOND RIDICULOUS. The email address is linked to my FB, which is a 20 years account, absolutely no issue. Customer service insisting that my account is "compromised" when EVERY SINGLE login record is LEGIT. It seems almost as if they couldn't understand the concept of "travel aboard". They insist that my email address is compromised, when again, every login record, 2-step-verification tied to my phone number, is legit. Etsy believes their extremely outdated security protocol is better than most trusted 2-step verification. Their management must be the WORST that I had ever seen, that you can ever imagine since the 20 century. I am requesting to delete my account and never going back. If the customer service of a company do not even have common sense over an issue as minor as this, how could you trust them with your business or they are able to resolve more complicated issues?? ANYTHING absurd could happen with them. RUN.

Every time I order wooden furniture or chairs from Etsy - It looks beautiful online and reviews are all 5 and 4 star about seller, no issues - Nothing major or negative to report, etc - So you place your order and wait anxiously for your piece to arrive! Then your piece arrives and the furniture looks like a child in a third world country has made it! Just purchased a console table, hand made, rustic, made to measure @ a cost of £115 with delivery....It arrived and it could barely stay up right and was wobbling all over the place! WTF. Contacting the seller was very easy and he has promised a full refund, no questions asked - He blamed the courier. I blame the shabby making of it...no support and just 3 slabs of rustic wood nailed together and called a console table. Previous to this I purchased 4 kitchen stools, brown leather, chesterfield, and so on £295 each. When delivered the Leather on the seats was coming away from the chair. Contacted seller who was aggressive and sent two aggressive sales people to my house to check chairs. I gave in and kept the chairs due to intimidation. I said i would never buy from Etsy again AND THEN I DID DUE TO DESPERATION OF AWFUL ONLINE FURNITURE SHOPS THAT HAVE NOTHING AUTHENTIC AT A PRICE THATS REASONABLE! I am so sick of buying online and wish we had independent furniture stores again! Please lord this online buying is fake and rubbish! I believe reviews are not real and sellers are importing goods from Europe and Asia and selling as homemade furniture.

AI everywhere!! Mostly scams now

Almost all of the products I look up are scams with fake products created by AI. This need to be regulated and fixed. I used to love buying things of off Etsy, gave me a chance to support artists but now I’m worried to buy anything off of it. Use a different platform to buy from artists, Etsy can’t be trusted anymore!

Is there a way to give 0 stars??? This company is a joke. I have been scammed numerous times with people selling patterns they do not own and the instructions are non existent. I have tried to send a message numerous times. I have tried again and again to speak to anybody in ‘customer service’!! What a joke and a rip off!
