Growatt comes to my rescue and fixes a problem with one of my storage batteries.
I had been having an issue with one of my batteries.
I e-mailed Growatt Customer Service UK last night. I received a response at 10 am this morning, was in contact with an engineer over WhatsApp to try to resolve the issue but we were unable to.
Growatt engineer on WhatsApp said they would need to arrange for an engineer to visit. They asked where I lived and it so happened that the engineer was close and arrived within the next 40 minutes!
The engineer has just left after working on my system for 3 hours and it’s now fixed.
He also diagnosed an installer fault which has been causing me issues with my ShinePhone app and the ability to see the load.
Wow, what amazing customer service. I had a really bumpy ride with the company that installed my kit - they ceased trading and disappeared. It is a massive relief to know that my system is in such good hands under the Growatt warranty!

Green Generation Electrical Ltd installed our first Growatt system last week. There was a small issue with a faulty part on the new battery system causing it to go into sleep mode. I spoke to the guys at Growatt on the phone, and they guided me through a check procedure to see if we could ascertain what was causing the issue. They quickly decided a visit from a site engineer was the best course of action. Owen Gao, from Growatt, contacted me within 20 minutes and came to the site the very next day. We inspected the system together and he diagnosed the issue was a faulty comms port in the battery module. He replaced the part immediately, we put the system back together and it worked straight away. He remained onsite and force charged the battery before checking it was discharging correctly and did not rush off, even though it was a Friday afternoon.
Outstanding service and really helpful, friendly staff. Owen was a credit to Growatt and from the experience we had with their installer support team yesterday, I would not hesitate to recommend Growatt products to our clients again.
Products can be faulty; that's part of life and pretty commonplace. Support like this is far more rare. Thanks for your help guys.
I found the initial contact via WhatsApp ok when we had an issue with our Growatt battery/inverter but once the technician I was talking with wasn’t sure of the issue I got ignored!
I opened a new case and had someone much more helpful who told me how to test some components and once we established there was an issue they arranged for a technician to visit our home.
The technician, Owen was great and called to arrange the visit and got to the bottom of the issues straight away.
Infinity Renewables installed our Growatt solar system over two years ago, and it had worked fine until July. Then the batteries appeared not to be fully charging. Infinity tried software updates etc, but problems soon returned. Engineer Owen from Growatt came and sorted problems with battery control boards in 30 minutes. Excellent service. Batteries have been fine for several days now, all we need is more sunshine rather than August clouds!!
We had our Evergreen solar system installed one and a half years ago. I noticed our battery in the system was not charging. After contacting Evergreen and few online investigation and photos of the battery etc. sent to them nothing corrected the fault. After a month they sent Owen Gao from Growatt to sort the problem. He quickly identified the problem and confirmed that the battery is ok but the inverter is the one faulty. Since he had to order a new inverter it took 1 more week and Owen returned with the new inverter and fixed it. Now everything is working properly again. Owen is a polite, friendly and a knowledgeable engineer and I recommend him to any one. Thanks to him and Growatt, now the system is full operational. 🙏🏼
Lingxuan immediately sorted out my problem, and a new dongle is on it's way.
