Easy check-in and rental pick-up - Drop off in Malaga was a little complicated
Booked a rental several months early. Go to pick up rental it's not there, in fact they were turning around everybody that day. Completely stranded in a city that I've never been before. Had to spend $$ to Uber to another rental agency and get a last minute booking for even more $$$. Soon after they charged me a "no show fee".
Always friendly and fast so I’m I. And out with my busy schedule
The Hertz counter at the San Jose (SJC) airport are real professionals. I love it when I arrive to the counter and everything is in order with the car waiting for me.
Booked a van, used for 3 hours and paid. Simple, quick service all via mobile Hertz 24. 1 month later receive an invoice of traffic violation, a bridge the van crossed and didnt pay. Money was taken from my account without any prior notice or chance to dispute. A)I never went over this bridge B)On closer inspection of the fine, the crossing was on a completely different date to my rental The company are impossible to get through to and dispite email, using chat bot, you get nowhere. Avoid ! Complaint reference 34349919
Great office, great staff, clean cars. All Hertz locations should strive to be as professional as the Gardena location.
70 Euro car upgrade ended in 210 Euro extra cost My experience with the Hertz rental desk at Palma de Mallorca Airport was extremely disappointing. I booked my rental through DiscoverCars. At the Hertz desk, I was offered an upgrade to a larger 7-seat vehicle for €7 per day (around €70 total). That was the only additional cost that was explained to me, and I agreed to the upgrade. I was then asked to authorise the security deposit with my Mastercard. Only afterwards was I presented with the rental contract, where I discovered additional charges, including an extra driver fee and taxes that had never been mentioned. When I questioned these unexpected charges, the Hertz employee told me they could not see the final price until the contract was printed. I was also told that, because I had already authorised the deposit, I could not cancel the upgrade or return to my original booking through DiscoverCars. I therefore felt I had no realistic option but to continue with the rental. Immediately after the rental, I contacted both the local Hertz Palma de Mallorca Airport office and DiscoverCars by email to dispute the additional charges. DiscoverCars responded and attempted to assist, but I never received any reply from Hertz. Instead, a few days after the rental ended, Hertz simply charged the disputed amount to my Mastercard without ever responding to my complaint. In my opinion, this process is not transparent. Customers should be able to see and review the complete rental agreement, including all charges, before being asked to authorise a deposit or commit to the rental. I also believe customers should receive a response when they formally dispute unexpected charges, rather than having the disputed amount collected without any explanation. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend renting from the Hertz rental desk at Palma de Mallorca Airport. I would strongly encourage anyone renting there to insist on seeing the full contract and every charge before authorising any payment or deposit.
No issues. I appreciate it when people don't blatantly attempt to rip me off.
On Monday night around 10:30PM, Lady was very rude. Other staff member was dealing with us and got up from her seat and started rude talking, very unfriendly location.
Left stranded. Broken promises and zero customer service. Absolute nightmare experience. My flight was delayed, so I proactively called Hertz to let them know. The agent explicitly confirmed they were tracking my flight and promised someone would be at the desk for 30 minutes after my plane landed. When I arrived, the counter was completely abandoned. No staff, no note, and absolutely no way to get my keys. They completely broke their promise and left me stranded at the airport after a stressful flight. Utterly unprofessional and zero accountability. Avoid this company at all costs.
I hired from Hertz in Béziers In France. Newish car with no problems. I returned it when the office was closed and put the keys in the drop box. Shortly afterwards, I received an email from Hertz claiming the car was damaged They demanded €350 to repair it. They failed to supply evidence and, only after I submitted photographs taken before and after the hire period did they back down. The claim was fraudulent. It is up to the claimant to provide proof of damage not the hirer to defend himself. ALWAYS TAKE PHOTOS BEFORE AND AFTER. CROOKED OUTFIT.
The staff at Green Bay road were very pleasant and helpful to customers but you can tell they are not happy with the company. Management needs to do something about that.
The wait time was ridiculous. You offer a pre-check in, free from going to the desk but it wasn't available. This is the second time I have waited in line for over an hour and a half to pickup a vehicle.
We were able to get the vehicle we needed for the amount of time we needed it. They worked with us to accommodate the holiday weekend. Overall good experience.
1 star and that’s to high We rented a big van 2-3 months ago knowing we was going to Destin Fla from Ky Long story short We fly into the airport go to hertz rental No van In no way did they attempt to help Very rude We cancelled and got a lot better deal and very friendly through another company Do not deal with Hertz
Warning for anyone renting from Hertz in Cancun: I prepaid for the rental through CarRentals.com and also paid for collision coverage. When I arrived at the Hertz Cancun counter at around 11 p.m. with my family, I was told I had no choice but to pay almost $400 more for liability insurance. The additional charge was more than the rental itself. I understand Mexico may require valid liability coverage. The problem is the lack of clear disclosure before booking and the pressure at the counter when travelers are already there late at night with no practical alternative. If liability insurance is mandatory, it should be shown clearly in the total price before payment, not added at pickup. Ask for all mandatory insurance charges in writing before booking, especially in Cancun.
DO NOT USE HERTZ I cannot believe Hertz have done this to me. I have been changed £80 for a van I never leased. I tried to book a van but didn’t get a confirmation email or any details. To make sure there was definitely nothing booked, I contacted their customer service via chat as not phone service. I asked to ensure any booking under my name was cancelled. I was rudely told they could not find any booking and “cannot cancel a booking that does not exist” I have raised a ticket via the customer help service but absolutely nothing as I expected. I needed the van to move from an upsetting domestic situation and I just needed things like this not to happen. I had to get a van with Europcar in the end who were fantastic I now have £80 taken from my bank account which is 2 weeks food shopping and I am having to borrow money for food. I am sure that Hertz will not do anything about this, but on the off chance someone does see this, please can you help me sort this out. With no phone number or proper escalation channels, and your terrible customer service, I have no other way of tying to get attention
Corporate customers will probably be unimpressed with this location - no President Circle, no free upgrades, and fairly slow service due to this being a single person operation. Gave location credit for calling ahead to confirm our reservation (requested specific sized vehicle) and having a mostly clean vehicle ready - and had tires pumped up to correct settings. Vehicle was quart of oil low, and had to clean fingerprints off insides of windows. Also, don’t trust hours listed or AI generated by Google - unit closed Saturday and Sunday regardless of what Google claims.
