Thanks for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your Youtube video has received a copyright claim; we have included information below to explain why this sometimes happens and how to resolve it. We share your frustration when it comes to Youtube copyright claims. Unfortunately, Youtube copyright claims are a difficulty faced by stock media in general (which is not specific to Pond5) and, sadly are entirely out of our control. This happens when the composer or someone representing the composer has entered the music into the YouTube Content ID. The Content ID system is how YouTube keeps track of everything that's uploaded. It prevents fraud, piracy, and people uploading content they have not purchased. Although frustrating, this seems to be where the stock media industry is heading when it comes to Youtube, and there is still no way to prevent this other than by filing a dispute. However, on the bright side, we are the only stock media company that is happy to help you out with releasing these claims—outlining the steps in our Help Center article here: https://help.pond5.com/hc/en-us/articles/200944663-How-to-Dispute-Clear-a-YouTube-Content-ID-Claim and offering to reach out to the content ID company ourselves if needed. I hope this information has helped to clarify why sometimes stock media is copyright claimed on Youtube, but please know that Pond5 requires its composers to release their claim on any videos uploaded by Pond5 customers so that they are freely able to monetize their videos or show them without ads if they choose. Please reach out to [email protected] if you need some help with this claim, and one of our support agents will give you a helping hand!

We hope that helps.

We appreciate your feedback, Bran. We understand your concerns. As business needs change, pricing can be affected. Pond5 does its best to stay competitive whilst providing alternative pricing options to help in these uncertain economic conditions. As a marketplace, we enable our individual artists to choose a pricing tier for their content or set their own prices. We feel that this is the fairest way for them to take into consideration the time, money, and equipment used to produce their work. However, we do offer some more affordable options for our buyers through the Subscription program. Subscriptions include ten downloads per month from a special collection featuring many of our top artists — all for one low price. You will need to filter your searches to see only the files available in the Subscription Collection. You can find out more here: https://www.pond5.com/subscriptions. This program creates more exposure for our artists' work, but, in turn, would sell their content at a lower price. It is completely optional for our artists to take part, which is why not all content on the marketplace can be offered at this discounted price. Again, as we are a marketplace for creative production, please know that the content doesn't belong to Pond5, and therefore, we can't always offer it at a lesser price. We would recommend using our price filters on the search page if you decide to buy content from the marketplace individually or "à la carte." This way, you can find content within your budget right away. Our newsletters occasionally have promotions, including a free weekly Clip offering, so please check that your Email Preferences are set to receive them. We offer Pre-Paid Credit Packages with free Bonus Credits with our larger packages (https://www.pond5.com/credit-packages). We also host one of the largest and most openly accessible collections of completely free Public Domain content for you to use. Link to our Public Domain page: https://www.pond5.com/free. Pond5 is a marketplace open for anyone to join and sell their media. You are welcome to join our team of contributors, which may also help you earn income! We have a very detailed resource to help get you started. Here is some information on our site outlining this for you: https://www.pond5.com/sell-stock-footage Please check it out and start the process when you are ready! If you have more questions, you may also read through our comprehensive Contributor Portal for further information about selling. I hope this information was helpful!
