I had autocad 2007 LT for years on my desk top and my lap top. both working although i didnt use the laptop much. microsoft decided to end windows 10 and my desk top was not compatable with 11 one issue was no tpm chip and the other was my C drive was very small ssd, i just had a little other than the operating system on it. but Windows said it had to be bigger too. I ordered a large drive cloned my old drive and installed it now i could not re activate my Cad. i had a little while before it kicked me off. and i thought i could just use the lap top. NOPE it too now would not work. I knew a friend had years back signed on with Prodge cad, and we had taken classes in autocad many years ago. He said he had very little trouble figuring out how to use it from his classes and it stored files and could open it the same format i had all my work stored in. my trial of the new Auto Cad LT was about to end and i needed it for a project i was working on, that really made me feel good because the new malti million dollar machine. the boots came off and spilled thousand s of pounds of carbon black. fine powdered carbon like the black on a oil lamp glass. i make many of the boots for the older machines. I was a hero for a few days. I am 64 and i ask if they had a senior citicen discount NO they don't. "really was just trying to save the money". Was hoping to use this a s a retirement income. need to give something up are i will soon be single again. but this Prodge cad seems to be The ansewer to my prayers I can edit my existing drawings and with some learning do new ones. i wish i could give a better review but all this happened during deer season. so i just got through the first 5 vidios of the learning and i will be able to play with the 3d witch didn't pay real attention too in class if you know you will probably never afford to have to play with. Inclooded with prodge cad cheeper price here. I liked drafting in high school paper and pincle t square eraser shield. rember playing with a sheet of Mylar paper and a ink pin you had ti fill with ink think i still have them different pin for each line weight. hent to the Illinois State champianship in drafting today what does that compitition look like. My lord how much better it was when i took my cad class. now they tell me you can 3D print from a drawing are plazma cut metal parts. havent got to play with that yet. but if i could just send a pattern to a cutting machine that could cut my CSM fabric. well probably not in this life. I ask my friend about his waterjet he said he might be able to but he would cut a stack between plywood which would be good for production but prototype should be a couple then 5 then if you dont here bad reviews 25 exc. 100 scrap and i am near out of buisness. think this is going to keep me in the game. Hope they offer a beginners corse @ Rend Lake Collage for beginners. if possable i would attend. on the fince let me give you a shove. we can make this work for our buisness. lets save some money.

‘CAD WITHOUT CLUTER’

I Have Been a Cad Drafting User Since 1982, Architectural Drawings… In 2018 I Switched to progeCad 2019 Professional and Have Been Using it Ever Since… The Biggest Difference I Noticed Right Away was the Speed you Could Save in Creating Drawings and the Ease Using the Program… AutoCad Has Always Been Cumbersome and Had to Much Data with it’s Program When Downloading…. Files Were Always to Big, Not Only to Download, But Also to Load to Begin Working with Specific Drawings, Along with Too Many Crashes, for the Need to Re-Cover Drawings All- the -Time!!! AUTO CAD HAS ALWAYS REQUIRED TOO MUCH MEMORY TO RUN AS COMPARED TO progeCad…. Lastly, You Don’t NEED To Pay $1,000’s of Dollars to Have a Better Working Cad Program With progeCad…. It Provides All the Tools Needed and Then Some to do the Job!!! Tony D.

My experience so far is nothing but…Awesome!

My experience so far is nothing but great. I love how my old file from AutoCAD works seamlessly. The only thing that I notice sometimes is when I open my cad file, My Text seems distorted momentarily. But when I regenerated the file is okay. It could be my old drawings is corrupted. Other than that. It works Great and I love it. My only wish for the company is to expand more tutorial on you Tube, to gain more user knowledge. at the moment it is only handful of them out there.

I can only give 5 stars 6 or 7 might be a bit closer. Cost aside (which is always a big factor) the software works very well and seems to work wit little issues. I have been using for 5 weeks (30 days free and 7 after a purchase) and there are little issues. All of the features seem to work well it is just a matter of time before you figure out all of the "little" things most of the commands are the same as the "other" software some are slightly different and you have to have a bit of a work around. One thing that is easier with the other software is rotating blocks as you enter them. Since I enter multiple blocks that are the same the work around is simple you insert one from the block palette then use the block insert command (from the ribbon) and you can rotate each object as you input it. I very simple work around and works well.

great! Thank you...

I used AutoCAD for over 32 years, working in the Land Surveying and Civil Engineering profession. I can say that from what I have seen so far, ProgeCAD is very similar to AutoCAD.

So far I really love this software, and the menu and command structure, which is nearly identical to AutoCAD. And you can't beat the price!

I got it no problem

Well, I've been away from ACAD for about 3 years. I'm sure I'll be happy. I always resisted the overloaded top ribbon. But that was true of ACAD, before even PROGECAD. I'm sure that with time, I'll have this set up looking more familiar. I did ACAD for over 40 years, and I never really appreciated the upgrades. I like that I could even go to pre Ribbon, but I'm not that bad. Note that it even included Express Tools, very nice. It's great that this program is mine forever, that's a big deal. Anyway, the program came, installed no problem, very nice. I just have to work on me. I notice that there are some lessons I can take, great! I'll do it. Thanks, Paul H.

I use Autodesk AutoCAD at work at an Architecual millwork company.. My drawings are mostly 2D with a simple 3D rendering per elevation. I tried ProgeCAD, and could'nt be more happy with it, so I bought it!! The inter face is very customizable, and will be very familar to Autodesk users. All of the the commands I typically use are the same, Although I may have to type an extra letter. Example Dimcontinue: Autodesk+DIMC, Proge= DIMCO. It did take me a while to get a text I liked in paperspace, but once I did, the drawings look great. Some things I like better than Auto desk! Great software, especially for the price piont. If you are used to Autodesk, download the trial, you wont be diappionted. Thank You ProgeCAD!!

Easy transition from AutoCAD

As a former AutoCAD user, I really liked how there was no learning curve in transitioning to ProgeCAD. The keystrokes, layout and commands were all familiar. I am pleased with the performance of the software. I took off one star because I had to email sales to get the unlock code 5 working days after my payment was processed. The delay seemed totally unnecessary and rather odd.
