This order was related to a listing where each geode is individually photographed, priced, and selected by scrolling down the page, as clearly stated above the “Add to Bag” button. Unfortunately, the lowest-priced geode (£4.99) sold shortly before this order was placed, and due to an oversight on our part, the starting price shown in the main listing had not been updated. We identified the issue within minutes of the order being placed and contacted the customer to explain the situation. We apologised for the error and asked which geode they would like from those still available. We also offered the option of cancelling the order in full if they preferred not to proceed. When the customer requested cancellation, a full refund was processed immediately via PayPal. We accept responsibility for the pricing error and were not attempting to increase the price or overcharge. The £4.99 geode he selected was no longer available, so the only option was to select a different piece from the remaining stock. Unfortunately, we were unable to absorb the additional cost. Our intention throughout was to resolve the matter transparently, fairly, and promptly.
