Hi Manny, Thank you for the feedback — we'd like to lay out what happened on our side. Your jacket was placed as a rush order on June 27. When your request came in to change the lining from orange to red, our team wrote back to confirm the change before releasing it to production, and followed up more than once. A rush build moves on a compressed schedule, so we couldn't hold the jacket open without pushing your delivery date, and we proceeded with the specifications already approved. We can see the screenshots showing you did write in, and we take the point that our confirmation loop is where this broke down. A rush timeline leaves very little room between a change request arriving and a jacket already being cut and sewn, and that's a process problem on our end rather than a judgment about your order. Every jacket is made to order rather than pulled from stock, which is why the approved spec is the point we build from — that's the reason it couldn't be altered or returned after the fact.

Thank you for the review — we'd rather answer it than leave it sitting. Our full-leather jackets are genuine cowhide, cut and sewn to order after the order is placed rather than pulled off a shelf. They ship folded, and creasing in transit is normal for leather and wool; it hangs out or steams out. A jacket arriving wrinkled isn't a signal about the hide underneath it. On the alteration point: many local shops decline leather sleeves because the work needs a walking-foot machine and the right needles, not because there's something wrong with the material. It's a common answer from tailors set up for wool and cotton. We stand behind how these are built. But the gap between what you expected and what arrived is real, and closing that gap earlier — before the box is opened — is our job, not yours.

Hi Talya, Thank you for the detail here, and for noting the quality of the jackets. We want to explain the color side properly, because our earlier reply was more policy than explanation. Bright gold is one color code, but on your jackets it's applied to three different materials: the chenille patches, the knit stripe trim, and the body. Dye takes differently on each. Knit yarn in particular reads warmer and pushes toward orange under the same specification that reads clean gold on a patch. That's why the patches look right to you and the stripes don't, even though both were produced to the bright gold spec on the approved mock-up. The practical answer, and the one our team gave for any future order, is that Lemon on the stripe knit finishes much closer to a true school gold than Bright Gold does. That's counterintuitive — the swatch names don't predict how the finished trim reads — and it's information that should have reached you before a nine-jacket group order rather than after. Color naming that doesn't predict the finished result is our problem to fix. On the point that school colors matter in this line of work, you're right, and we don't dispute it.

Hi Clare, Thank you for raising this — we want to set out the full sequence, because it matters here. Free shipping on our site applies to orders over $300. Your order came in under that, so shipping was charged. Our checkout doesn't apply that quietly: it tells you the threshold and prompts you that the order needs to reach $300 to qualify, before any payment is taken. So the actual rule was on screen at the point you decided to buy. Where you're right is the product description. The crop top page carried older copy referencing free shipping on that item, and it should have been taken down. You sent us the screenshot, we verified it, and the page has been corrected — that's a genuine error on our part and we're glad you flagged it. What we'd push back on is deceptive. Stale copy on one product page is a mistake; a checkout that states the threshold and prompts you before payment is the opposite of concealment. Those two things sat on the same order, and we'd rather show both than pretend the first one didn't happen.

Chenille patches, embroidery, striping and lining are all built per order, and that build is most of both the cost and the lead time. That said, whether the result justifies the price is your call to make, not ours to argue. A two-star rating usually means something specific went wrong with a jacket that a one-line review doesn't capture, and we'd rather understand what it was than assume.
